Thanks mate, there's loads of stuff I need to practice, I mentioned it yesterday in my flight that'll come out in a few week. Some "freestyle" stuff. Just need the muscle memory to switch up! Yeah grass is a killer haha, looks cool tho. Hard to practice on concrete with the cinelog because it had 3D printed feet underneath. I'll have a look at the idle up part you mentioned, I have already set up my arm on the left side for this very reason lol. I'll look at Quadmvr shortly......thanks again!!

@@BBDigitalArts its probably worth thinking about buying a basher. its hard to fly/learn, when you only have one quad, the fear of crashing just spoils it. get something tough you can throw about a bit, top tip is to use google earth pro to find new spots, theres also a built in flight sim nobody ever mentions, good fun. if you dont have any obvious landscape features around look for quarries. try and get used to a 10deg cam angle, preserving speed through dives and manouvres is king. i can freefall from hundreds of feet and choose which speed i come out of the dive, often the best speed is gonna be very low, like 20mph or less, when your cam angle is high it just leaves you a smaller window of speeds you can pull out with, usually above 40mph. the good thing about a low angle is you learn speed control without a million crashe, worst that can happen with a low cam angle? you belly flop to a dead stop, worst that can happen with a high angle? you full throttle into the ground or worse up into a tree. speed control is the name of the game for cinematic flying, going from 90mph dive to fly low along the ground at 20mph, or 90mph if thats what looks best, you can't do a 90mph dive and come out at 20mph with a high cam angle, anything above 25 you will shoot out like a sling shot.

Seconding this, I moved over to a different controller too purchased the Radiomaster pocket, was so much better then the RC3 controller ive found.

@@BBDigitalArts No mate, I have the 03 on it, has ELRS. I always try and land around there however when I actually land and volt check im like around 5.7 haha. Get to nervous lol.

@@RenzFPV ahhh no way, an O3 on there is ace, so small haha Different battery read out than mine, won’t show 7.4 or 5.7……my 4S batteries would show 14v when I have to land. I’ve heard good things about the radiomasters

@@BBDigitalArts You absolutely can, just remember to disconnect the USB before trying to fly off ;) Most GPS antennas have a small battery in them to retain the satellite almanac. This is the satellite position data that it needs, over an hour or so it doesn't change much so after the first fix the remaining fixes immediately afterwards are fast.

@@BBDigitalArts yes I was wondering about your last video as you said sunset was 20:20hrs! My sunset on Friday was 20:01hrs at the moment were loosing about two minutes a day (pity it wasn’t the other way around) so that would be about a week and a bit ago. Was nice seeing those green fields and trees. Do you know I still like you flying the Avata I think it’s better than the wee one at the minute.👍👍👍👍👍

@@BBDigitalArts Brilliant, i have the original Avata but not flown it yet ,i also have the DJI FPV drone, i have been flying GPS drones for about 4 years now but really want to get into FPV, i have a analog Iflight Nazgul Evoque with GPS module which i also haven't flown, i keep putting off flying due to the worry of crashing. Got to get out there and fly, have the licence the drones but not the guts to do it yet lol... Your videos are giving me the urge to just get out there and fly... 👍😎

When I arrived in the morning, I couldn't get to that carpark because of the accident. it wasn't so much the GPS for landing it was the solid stone I didn't want to hit and fling into the river haha I also don't trust myself yet to land right next to me haha Ahhh copper, thanks, I couldn't remember if it was copper or lead. Hiya mate, thanks very much for the thorough reply, much appreciated indeed! I'm getting the hang of the battery situation. My charger is pretty good and giving me loads of detail etc. I'm very very conscious of landing spots with this because its way harder to land than the Avata haha I didn't fancy landing near my feet because it was solid stone and I wanted to land on the pad, as I couldn't take off form there I was screwed haha. Loads more practice on landing needed. Id also love to learn line of sight flying so I can actually catch it one handed haha Gryroflow is class, I use it all the time, I trouble I have is that once its exported its then a compressed I'm bring into Da Vinci to compress again, then upload to RUclips its compressed haha, looks like mush. Thanks for the landing compliment haha, work needed on it. Eyeballing 10 degrees in Betaflight?? talk to me!!

@@BBDigitalArts in betaflight theres a page with a gimbal showing you the attitude of the quad in real time, the page with the animation of the quad orietation... there you can hold the quad at an angle and read off exactly what it is, so you can eyeball the camera at level and read off the angle on the page. i gather you have high volt batteries but i would recommend not charging them above 4.2, they will last longer. look for cell differences like 4.20 4.20 4.20 4.17. thats a weak cell and will fail eventually, the instant it shows signs of getting worse dump it. gyroflow allows you to select how you exported stuff, choose h265 and a bit rate that matches the original file maybe even a bit higher? its on the left of the window and you might need to scroll to find it. but definitely try lowering smoothing and disconnect that from cropping speed and click the thing that shows you the stretched wobbly footage and the area which is the crop, adjust it to the max where you dont see the black bits getting in frame.

@@BBDigitalArts No Ben I was thinking about Coalport China works/museum flying around the old kilns, and the big red C of E church as you go into Broseley from the free bridge. If you want to save a lot of battery and film that same church in this video, park in low town cross the bridge to the Wolverhampton side of the river there’s a flat beech that you could fly from and go over the sand stone cliffs directly to that same church in high town.👍👍👍👍👍

@@brianhough6564 I know where you mean reference the beech, that's a lovely part, the river hasn't been too low this year though, we haven't had much of a hot summer at the beech I was going to fly from near where I am now was too high. I know the china works you mean, that would be ace. I not sure how much of a nuisance it would be with the noise though haha. Another reason why I like the distance advantage haha

Hiya John, thanks for reaching out, much appreciated. I started flying drones about 9 years ago. I never went into flying FPVs with the intent to fly freestyle and I still don't really. I'm a videographer by trade so it's another tool for the arsenal. Joshua Bardwell is where it's at and ive binged watched his Betaflight videos since I made this video lol. I originally bought the Avata because it has a lot of safety features and the range and battery life is too good not to try. I will definitely be taking the leap to a 5 inch and then a long range 7/8 inch too in the future. The purpose of the GepRC is to delve into the next step of FPV. 🙂 always having fun.

@@FPV-TV419 great advice mate, thanks, I wish I could fly 2 packs a day but I’m very rarely at home and can’t fly at work. My camera angle is flat as a pancake but the trouble with that is that I go up and backwards too easy as opposed to keeping momentum forward. All still a steep learning curve with the new TX and new FPV compared the the DJI rig…. I have thought about getting a micro tiny whoop to blitz about the place….thanks for reaching out dude 🤙🏼

@@BBDigitalArts you’ll find your expo setting in your radio setup in betaflight you can also set up expo in your radio but DON’T use the radio settings let your flight controller do all the work keep your radio standard no mixing. You’ll be surprised how much better your drone will fly with expo.👍👍👍👍👍

haha, I have since changed to this method after this video was filmed, game changer haha.....also because sometimes even when I had manually recorded it sometimes recorded in the goggles only when it was set to both, weird!

haha, not a chance haha, my Avata won't take off here due to being so close to an Army camp and its a nightmare compared to my Air 2S to unlock the thing so I don't usually bother haha

Thank you mate, some valuable tips there. only my 2nd flight with the new TX compared to the DJI FPV controller too. The longer gimbals make it easier but way more sensitive.....practice practice practice :-)

@@BBDigitalArts Try it with cinelog20 stock 4-blades white props and you get same agility as with Mobula8 (43grams) ! And its not so easy to break, the bracket is most fragile part but if you didn't go naked its no big deal
