7:31 O my goddess!!! Kids are all the SAME!!! We rode for DECADES without them but now cant take a spin about the block. Loved this vlog. Happy to see someone that respects and honors their parent.
I’ve been home bound with my sick wife for 9 mos, you are a breath of fresh air. Ever present smile just like my wife. I have a brand new Giant Cypress just waiting for me to ride. In the mean time thank you for taking me along on your jaunts. If you ever in Pennsylvania we have many hills and mountains to climb. Happy Father’s Day to your dad.
Great video, wonderful views. Remember going to the Cat & Fiddle on a YHA weekend, poor guy ended up over a stone wall when his tub rolled. The Goyt valley is also a beautiful ride.
Amazing girl ! Make me smile....Nice to meet dad ....100 miles is no small ride ....you have a great personality for what you are doing ...RUclips is awesome for bringing some very special people into the lives of others ....you too Kyle ...keep it up, best wishes and thx for sharing . 👍👍
That was great! Never stop riding. Safety first. The perfect form of exercise...low impact on the knees and super for the heart. Bless. Be careful riding in England. I rode a car for 3 weeks around Bristol and Somerset and that was a challenge. A lot of walls along the roads in the UK but where you're riding looks safe. Just rode my bike 20 US miles today. I only ride one 100 miles once a year. It's a flat ride called the Seagull Century in Maryland. I try to ride every other day. My bike is a BMC Roadmachine 01 Three (2022 model) with Shimano DI2 Ultegra. It keeps me wanting to ride. All the best from the US. You have a good dad. Very cute RUclips.
Now, your Dad is a proper cyclist! Tin of soup heated on a stove with a salmon sandwich on a baking hot day.... Why? Just. Because. He can!!! I Love it. I bet sat there in the sunshine with that wonderful view and his daughter with him, that soup tasted amazing! Who needs gels and energy bars! Comedy duo in the making!
How delightful. I see a Carradice bag there. I have the US version of same (Swift Industries bag that’s a synthetic material copy and sits on a Carradice Bagman rack) so I get a warm feeling seeing that. Can carry a whole kitchen! I think your accent gets stronger around your Dad. Wow you knock off 100 miles like it’s nothing. I am struggling with 30… Brava!
Love riding Cat & Fiddle, been doing it since I started cycling from Congleton in 1956. We used to have an annual club race, Congleton to Buxton and Back. I’m in Chesterfield now and love watching your videos especially on my local roads.
That was a nice video Amy. Great to meet Dadio and see him breaking out the stove is legendary. We worry so much about weight saving and marginal gains on bikes, but that’s proper adventure biking. Salmon sarnie dipped in mushroom soup… Gordon Ramsay would be proud 😅 Flash cafe is excellent. I saw it was up for sale or lease, so not sure if current owner is looking to move on. Hope it stays for the long run. Nice work on you and Karl qualifying 👍🏻 Ps… I recommend the Elite 950ml bottles. Two of them are good for long distance rides.
Thank so much! Yes my Dad is a classic cyclist he’s not bothered about how much his bike weights 😂 love flash cafe so I hope it stays as it is 🤞🤞 Thanks so much!
Lovely ride and weather with lots of yippees oh yeah and I am jealous of all those tasty looking cakes yum I had a big smile watching you dance at the top of that climb YES!!! Dad a good man to come meet you. TTFN aka Good bye LOL
That’s a great appropriate video for Father’s Day. We’ve all got one and when I was young like you my dad told me things that I thought was un necessary at the time but now I’ve reached my dad’s age myself they all make sense. We both have our dad’s to thank for giving us this cycling gift.
Welcome aboard haha! Ahh thank you, yess hopefully she'll love it as much as I do, although go steady to start with the Peak district hills are enough to put first time cyclists off cycling! Haha - hope you enjoy your rides together!
The old CTC rides usually included a roadside brew from a stream and camper stove set up. Bikes were super heavy back then.. Yeah that heat this week. Feeling weak as a kitten after a few hours of it..
Amy, we need more of your Dad lol!!!!! very funny bloke and what a down to earth man he seems to be, love the dipping the sandwich into the soup, wished i had your cod loins. Keep them coming
Thank you Amy for yet another great video! Those views are amazing and I'm jealous of those routes you ride. Your dad is a hoot. Nothing like a little hot soup when it's boiling outside!
I'm like you dad, I have a carbon bike but ride toe clips and straps! My dad bought me my first bike when I was 14 a Carlton Professional built in Worksop. He got it from Butterworth's bike shop in Sheffield. Live in Texas now and still have the Carlton.
Your dad is a legend! What a top bloke - reminds me of my Nottingham friends (really nice guys - very kind and generous). Not sure about salmon sandwiches dipped in mushroom soup though!
Great vid - Faffing Father lol Can of Hienz soup and a stove is a new one and food of champions with a salmon butty dunked in, gotta love him. class. I seen you don't ride with Mitts Amy? You can get summer ones but they protect your hands riding and palms him you ever have a tumble. (check out the last ToB rider came of without mitts and took skin off his palms, ouch!
Nice place Flash, there is a pub where they used to close tye road off and hold a village strongman competition in summer. Some strong farmer boys round there. Matlockmeat was Flash's strongest man 2019 haha
Nice climb that Amy although it brings back bad memories of riding it in an early December on a loop from Bolton. It was cold but fine at the bottom but was heavy snow when I got to the top!! Made for an interesting decent but then the cable for my rear derailleur frayed in the shifter so had to limp the hilly 40 miloneys back home!! 😳🤣🤦🏻♂️
Yippee.. Wow, you are starting to fly with this channel now Amy.. I chuckled when you're DaD came in to view, cause that's where your funny bones are from, joyful and he was carrying his very own Swedish cook system, legend. Keep going, not long before you get some sponsors for your creations. Best wishes with your new work with NHS. Dazzle🤗🤗🤑🤗🤗
Another great video Amy,cycled cat and fiddle a number of times then I head back towards leek and up gun hill and sometimes mow cop, also your dad is proper old school
Soup after a ride, with my freeze dried noodles, is my go to. Your father knows best. Amy, 27 degrees Fahrenheit in America, is perfect riding weather. What is the equivalent, over there?
This was a fun vlog, your funny around your dad, the expressions are great ( your face after the salmon and soup 🤣😂)..you're a trooper Amy..Def get some bottles, 1 for water 1 for Gatorade mix drink for electrolytes, a few bars and gels and you should be set! You have a great laugh, keep it up🙂✌️
Your dad is one cool cat. 😂 Your videos are always great but for me this one is a cut above. Good look at PBP, looking forward to some content from France! 😊
I aspire to do 100 miles. I’m doing 70 in July on a sportive. I’m a weekend cyclist so it’s harder to keep in prime condition. I only like riding on a Sunday as less chance of death. 😊 I must try a 100, I fear cramp will get me.
Classic father - daughter interactions. Good on him for getting you into cycling and through a difficult period.
Yes he’s such a great Dad (although annoying with his faffing around 😂)
@@amy.cycling.adventures haha he's just doing "his job" (of annoying you)
Classic, I'm not sure the internets ready for your Dad yet! what a character :-)
Dad eating a three course meal in a field. 😂
😂😂😂
Your dad is fabulous, he's literally going for a ride with the whole kitchen. I love him and his vibe, he's quite a character.
No wonder he struggles up the hills his bike weighs a ton 😂
@@amy.cycling.adventures 😂😂😂😂 he’s so genuine.
Brilliant video dads a knockout reminds me of so many cyclists I met when I started cycling in the 70s 🚴🏽♀️👍
Your dad needs his own channel, he's fabulous.
You ride 100 miles like its nothing, your fitness is impressive
7:31 O my goddess!!! Kids are all the SAME!!! We rode for DECADES without them but now cant take a spin about the block. Loved this vlog. Happy to see someone that respects and honors their parent.
Definitely better with 2 bottle cages and bigger bottles during the summer Amy,great video keep hydrated!!!😎👍
Plus electrolytes to make up for the salt losses in the heat.
These are the things you learn as you go along
Great video Amy, your Dad is a star in his own right
Thank you! He is haha 😅
Dads got a proper old school setup there. How warm is the weather hey.
I’ve been home bound with my sick wife for 9 mos, you are a breath of fresh air. Ever present smile just like my wife. I have a brand new Giant Cypress just waiting for me to ride. Ah I’m so sorry to hear about your wife. Ohhh enjoy your rides when you can again! All the best ☺️
Great video, wonderful views. Remember going to the Cat & Fiddle on a YHA weekend, poor guy ended up over a stone wall when his tub rolled. The Goyt valley is also a beautiful ride.

Dad's a bloody star. Get him on more often😂
Your Pops is awesome ! What a Boss . Full spread of food on top of a hill . And with a view ! 🚴🏼👍🏻
You got that right!

Amy would make laugh all over that route. She would such good company on that vid. Very entertaining.
Excellent; what an extraordinary route (and lunch stop).

2nd, the Elite 950s, anything else seems tiny.
Thank so much! Yes my Dad is a classic cyclist he’s not bothered about how much his bike weights 😂 love flash cafe so I hope it stays as it is 🤞🤞
Thanks so much!
Hilarious. More videos with your Dad PLEASE! So good I've watched it twice.
1:47 Ridgeline, dry stone walls, green grass, blue skies.... that is what cycling is all about. 😍 Well done on both of you qualifying for PBP.
100% 🙌 thanks so much! Looking forward to it 🇫🇷
Priceless 😆😆 you have got to do one a month with your dad, comedy genius. Good look in new job and stop putting yourself down. 👏👏
Thanks so much! Yes, I think I’ll have to get him to feature more 😂
Drink ,drink ,drink as much as you can in that heat , theres always a shop somewhere to get more fluids . Great video .
Yes got to get that water in! Thank you ☺️
Now that's a proper bike, Amy. Steel, toe-clips, proper saddle bag and proper cycling food too.
Lovely ride and weather with lots of yippees oh yeah and I am jealous of all those tasty looking cakes yum

Just discovered your channel. You’re hilarious! And great content too. Will be showing my wife to convince to get riding with me out in the Peaks!
Welcome aboard haha! Ahh thank you, yess hopefully she'll love it as much as I do, although go steady to start with the Peak district hills are enough to put first time cyclists off cycling! Haha - hope you enjoy your rides together!

Very sweet to see you and your dad hanging out.
That was funny, you’ve not got long left so you might as well enjoy the finer things in life dad. So funny.
Amy, we need more of your Dad lol!!!!! very funny bloke and what a down to earth man he seems to be, love the dipping the sandwich into the soup, wished i had your cod loins. Keep them coming
Haha thanks! Funnily enough I went on a little ride wiry him today so he’ll be returning to RUclips soon 😂
Fun times riding with Dad. He is a hoot. Miss Amy, just remember that summer is here and you need hydration.
Hi Amy good to see you at the Sudbury café this morning 👍🚴
Good to see you too!! Blummin heck 😂😂
Thank you Amy for yet another great video! Those views are amazing and I'm jealous of those routes you ride. Your dad is a hoot. Nothing like a little hot soup when it's boiling outside!

Great film. Derbyshire looks proper good. 👍👍👍👍
Whilst Derbyshire does look proper good, most of the clips were either in Staffordshire or Cheshire.
27 degrees sounds like a nice warm summer! We'll be moving into the mid 30s this week according to the forecast here.
Nice viddy. Your Dad looks to be a fun meet up. I consider this a lesson in “faffing” whatever that means..
Ha ha reminds me of me and my daughter…I’ve even got a Genesis with a Carradice saddle bag…and I’m also embarrassing apparently!😂
😂 the best way to be 🙌
8,000 ft climbing awesome.looks a beautiful area.
Your dad is a legend! What a top bloke - reminds me of my Nottingham friends (really nice guys - very kind and generous). Not sure about salmon sandwiches dipped in mushroom soup though!
Ah thanks! I’ve been passing on the kind comments too him but don’t want his head to grow too much 😂😂 me too not the lunch I’d pick 🤦♀️
Great vid - Faffing Father lol Can of Hienz soup and a stove is a new one and food of champions with a salmon butty dunked in, gotta love him. class. I seen you don't ride with Mitts Amy? Its been a bit too hot these last couple of weeks or so you stay safe and drink plenty of water in this weather
Sorry , couldn't stop laughing with ya dad and his 10 course meal on route , top man.
Styrkr or SIS? Nope, Campbells oxtail soup with a stove on the hottest day of the year. 😂
😂😂
Love your dad and how set in his ways he is! another great video from the archives. Did you sort your bottle regime?
He is a funny one! And yes thank you - glad you're enjoying the videos
I'd say your dad is a character, but that doesn't quite cover it. It's also obvious where you got your free spirit from -- you're a lucky one.
Brilliant vid. Love the enthusiasm 😁👍
Thank you!
Only ridden the Cat and Fiddle once, stunning area to ride around 👌🏻
Your Dad's ace, I thought I overdid for my day rides. But soup and salmon sarnies, that's next level 👌
Brilliant.
Well that made me smile. I do my best to get my daughter out cycling 🚴♀️ with my cerrera from halfords 😂. Really nice to see.
Glad to bring a smile! Nice 🙌 enjoy!!
lol, i also wear a Five Ten Freerider on my road bike like your dad, but not with the toe clips though.

Oh no! Bet that was the longest 40 milones of your life 😂
Blooming beautiful countryside! Do you plan rides with Komoot beforehand or improvise?
It is beautiful! I use the garmin app to plan my routes & sometimes people I know locally send me routes ☺️
Yippee..
Wow, you are starting to fly with this channel now Amy..
I chuckled when you're DaD came in to view, cause that's where your funny bones are from, joyful and he was carrying his very own Swedish cook system, legend.

Nice one Amy!
Need to be extremely careful with stoves etc., in this weather. Many places like this are tinderboxes at the moment. Please stay safe everyone.
You’re not sounding much like a “maverick” 😏
…must be ironic
Blooming Eck.....YIPEEEEE....after 50 milonies your cod loins must be sapped!!!
Help, I've now started shouting Hello Sheepie whenever I pass any sheep 🤣

Missing a tent and sleeping bag but your Dad is ready to bikepack.
Hey Amy, are those glasses the Velans (or larger Vulcans?)- TIA!

More "Dad" content please. Us "mature gentleman" only add a certain style to your youngens videos 😂😂😂
👍👍👍
Nice. Your fitness is impressive. Nice dancing.
I used to ride with full on clips and clipless is way safer, I was always falling off still clipped in because of a too-tight strap
Hilltop Jig-approved
