Hi Amy, I needed to watch this. Am a roadie, but recently purchased a gravel bike. Gravel miles are slow compared to road miles. Have to remember to enjoy the views/ride and not swipe on my Garmin! Have a good week and thanks 😊
Lovely to see you out with your dad. Precious moments! It is good to go as you feel without worries about stats. I use Garmin battery saver to keep the screen blank in my Garmin Explorer. That way I'm not constantly checking for speed and distance. Works for me!
Love the idea of a stat free ride ( apart from mapping ) we’re so stravaized ( new word ) I think it’s good to get back to just riding ( not this weekend unless you have Gills though !!!) Oh , nitrate mechanics gloves under winter gloves - stops any sweat getting into my gloves when I stop - nice and toasty after cafe stop 👌
What a lovely day to be out and enjoying those scenes. I once did an audax in the Peak District and I remember opening lots of gates, crossing lots of cattle grids and riding on lots of gnarly lanes. However, it was a beautiful day out even if I didn't get back in time. I see your dad has got a more modern bike. Last time I saw him on a video I think he had a Dawes
Never a dull moment with dad but he's a good soul needs more work on his jig LOL Ice cream and no gloves amazing work dad oh my and that paper map is pricelessly dating him god love him Another nice ride Amy ding dang dilleo and TTFN back to ya girl
Good to see you out with your Dad having quality father daughter time, I take the same flask as your Dad on my rides this time of year, love the well used map.
I just found your channel and your vids always make me smile and laugh especially the hi Sheepy!!! It reminded me of my last vacation in the south of France where on a remote farm two dogs barked at me while they ran along with me behind a fence and it seemed only normal to bark back at them so we could have a chat, I found out that an old farmer was at the other side of the road and he slapped his upper leg while he laughed and that really made my day haha, it is all about the little things in life! 🤣
Great video Amy! I’m very guilty of being disappointed with myself if I don’t hit a certain mph average. But I’m trying to chill out about it and just enjoy the views! Especially now I’m mainly using my gravel bike and being a bit slower on that anyways! P.S: Your Dad is a hoot! 😂
Your dad makes mw laugh . Love him 😅 what Garmin do you use ? I want a tune to celebrate the top of the hill and to know how many hills i have to come ?
As much as i love biking, i couldn't do 90 miles in my area, much less on my body.., thats one thing ive noticed you brits have is alot of long rolling roads to ride. After a few hrs I'm ready to call it a day as ive got other pressing things to do anyway🤭
I've been out for a cycle today and saw some sheep in a field near Drakeholes. The next thing is I'm shouting HELLO SHEEPIES. Then I'm laughing thinking to misen WTF😊
Oh man, I missed your Dad what a character. did you hear him, he wanted to carry the stove🤣🤣. one of these days you should hide his map and then invite him for a ride, I am sure there is no doubt he will not leave the house. Why don't you start doing the travels to different places across Europe? coz we need to know places from you then some of us can be inspired to have some great experience riding in new places and countries. Like you be our time machine for the future if you know what I mean that would be great.
I believe they make women specific bib shorts with easier to undo straps to facilitate bio-breaks, no? 7mesh do... and they are incredibly good shorts to boot.
Your dad is quite the character. That map with the pubs circled is brilliant!
He is 😂 got his priorities 😂😂
I know the area really well , you are tremendous the way you get the most from your days .
I haven't been able to ride much this year, but watching you have fun just makes me smile. Thank you.

Please keep your videos like this. Don’t be a RUclipsr, be yourself.😊
I agree - its goo to ignore the numbers and focus on what's actually going on out there
Looked fantastic made me and the wife want to visit the Peak District never had the pleasure yet
Ahhh you’ll love it if you do ☺️
Loved the sound effects over the cattle grid!
Haha! My favourite thing to do 😂
Great meeting up with your dad…he looks a right character 🤣🤣🤣
He is 😂😂
I just think your dad is great character. Makes me smile 😂.
He’s great! Always manages to make me smile 🤍
A way to avoid the sweat in the gloves is to use glove liners, which are thin and lightweight, inside the outer ones.
Thank you!

Good little red lotus for sheep 🐏🐑 to see 👍😺.
What a hoot your Dad is! I love how he hung his gloves on the fence😆. When did he realise he was still wearing his pyjamas? 😄
😂
Bulls are great for interval training! I found out the hard way 😂
😂😂😂 oh no!!
You are a great cycling ambassador for promoting cycling in the Peak District. Visit Peak District & Derbyshire should hire you! 😀
“Sheep dog nipped my cleat off” I think I’d be more worried about soft tissue damage🤣🤣🤣👍
😂😂😂 all I could think was pedal quick, was scary! 😂
Your dad is so funny 😄
Your dad makes mw laugh . Love him 😅 what Garmin do you use ? I want a tune to celebrate the top of the hill and to know how many hills i have to come ?

The sun is shining. There are few clouds and the roads are wet. Do they ever dry out?😂
Haha not in the winter it seems 😂
Where is that cafe that you stopped at? You’ve been there a few times I reckon.
It’s Sweet Little in Tutbury ☺️
I think the hills are called the dragon back

I've a feeling your dad is old school cycling.
Yes he is!
I believe they make women specific bib shorts with easier to undo straps to facilitate bio-breaks, no? 7mesh do... and they are incredibly good shorts to boot.
Hello ☺️
You are very like your father.
Dad's flask . Man after my own heart and cheaper than £3.
Haha yes!
You and your Dad... what are you like ...?? !!! And stinky gloves, I thought that was just me !
😂😂
Why do you have so many bag's on your bike.
I have one for spares & go-pro ☺️
Get a saddle bag like your dad's and bring a spare pair of gloves and a flask of hot chocolate
