But when the discovery comes back and it's Nascar providing information and then it's used in the upcoming appeal - that's a lot of evidence this is a set-up. This whole situation is the reason why drivers need to band together. It’s hard to find good talent. Drivers need to be protected and not fired. This is why I liked the champion provisional. Champions should be allowed to race whenever.
He ran for Michael Kranefuss in 1998 (actually for 3 seasons) in the 12 car - they were affiliated with Penske but not actual teammates. In 2001 the 12 team became part of Penske and Mayfield drove in 28 races - but the same season Mayfield lost his ride to Ryan Newman.
There’s still 2 sides to that story, he was found to have over $100k in stolen goods in the police raid, it wasn’t just the speaker system. It was also like race cars that he refused to give back to someone. He’s not completely clean in this whole deal.
Testing positive for meth twice was Nascar's fault. Lmao. Keep buying his lies if it works for you. Adderall shows up as a pseudoephedrine and Claritin as an antihistamine. Neither one creates a positive test for meth. Only one way that happens.
The whole story about the photo is hilarious. But yeah, when you have a team that COULD have been the next big thing, only to fall because you're more interested in banging some female driver who can't do squat in a truck or a Nationwide car than actually trying to help all your divisions as a whole, it'll cause it to go downhill fast. Mayfield was wrong place, wrong time, photo, hauler, & all. Always a decent driver though who could get you results, but one comment over relationships, and he was a marked man unfortunately. Hopefully, even though the Cup Series has passed him by, maybe we can see some redemption in like the SRX Series, or even ARCA, or a one off Truck race for him to see if he still has it.

But when the discovery comes back and it's Nascar providing information and then it's used in the upcoming appeal - that's a lot of evidence this is a set-up. And now consider all those charges ended up going away.
Give Jeremy a poly and a drug test. Jeremy was a mid pack guy with probably one of the most clutch wins of all time and he's been gone for 13 years yet millions of people are tuning in. That's 100x more than even go to races anymore.
Plus...let's be honest here...there is no casual meth use. If Jeremy was on it, you would know by simply looking at him and listening to him speak. Can't hide it like alcoholism...
completely agree
One other thing meth doesn’t stay in your system like Weed does. Meth is kinda like cocaine. I have taken drug tests like that while having a prescription for adderall. I worked at a hospital and took my drug test there at the hospital. I came back clean for everything. And I had taken adderall earlier that week. So the meth part I don’t believe.
Bullshit dude. There's only one way you test positive for meth. Adderall and Claritin have nothing to do with it. Try looking it up. You can find several articles on his lies.
Allmendinger was suspended on July 24 for violating the substance-abuse program. The drug initially was identified as amphetamines, with Allmendinger later identifying it as prescription Adderall he took once from the friend of a friend.Sep 18, 2012
But this knucklehead was able to go back to racing.....WTF Jeremy was setup end of story.
I always thought Dale Jr didn't do good in the booth calling the races... but Dale Jr is a great interviewer
This picture story is an absolute gem.
I hope there will be a Ray Evernham interview coming up
I wouldn't count on it.
To be honest I stopped payin attention to NASCAR after Dale Sr passed. But its sad to see where its at now. RIP the good ol days.
That picture story is so rough. Yeah he should have known better, but then again he shouldn't have been put in a situation like that to begin with
Love the Excite Bike shirt lol. Brings back tons of early 90's memories. Played it on Nintendo for hours. Before that was River Raid on Atari
Jeremy Mayfield rattled Dale Seniors' cage and beat the Intimidator! Nascar Legend he is.
Sounds to me like Jeremy was getting a raw deal all the way around! Dang, that was a damn tight spot to be in!! Reminds me of the scene from O Brother Where Art Thou, Damn, we in a tight spot!! LOL!!
Oh my god, this is amazing... 🙂
I admit, I don't trust the guy. Even the photo situation, he says over and over that he didn't realize what was happening, but then at one point he almost implies that he knew enough to not care about the outcome of it.
Yep! He minimizes everything he did and doesn't like to take responsibility....even after all these years. I don't trust him. Not saying he was always the worst, but he's trying to play it off like he was a 17 yr old that just stole a beer from the fridge.
This is the first comment I’ve seen of someone saying something like this. I completely agree. I don’t believe anything he says.
@@anorexicdave It's the only reason why I have no interest in him racing in NASCAR again or SRX. If he would've owned his mistakes, I'm all for second chances, but he's never admitted to any of it. All of that stuff just coincidentally got pinned on him, according to him. Everyone's out to get him, according to him.
@@anorexicdave it's because people here someone tell a story well and they automatically think it's true. All the signs point one way, but his story "sounds better" so ppl fall for it. Gullible. I'm not saying some of his story isn't true, but he's acting like he did nothing wrong. Not buying it.
@@JBtheExplorer yep! Everything is just a coincidence. Never looking in the mirror.
Ray Evernham is a creeper. Nascar and the media did a great job if hiding, covering up, or more like ignoring all that was going on. I'm glad he's gone from the sport. Well, what's left of it anyways.
Ray was a snake back then. That story is hilarious. He might still be, who knows.
Rob Cochrane, Ray still is. He taught Chad Knaus quite well. Both still work with HMS.
Jeremy seems like a good guy and hope he finds his way. He's gullable but hell we all have our issues. The best burn would be to drive for Ray's ex wife right after with that picture on the hood!
I grew up with Ray, the town we grew up in was like that. Makes perfect sense to me
Jeremy is kind of a hard interview to listen to. He's overly vague and talks fast through details. I think there's a lot we're all missing
Ya like the truth.
Take a shot every time he says "Da Da Da, this that and the other".
Agreed. That's what I was thinking. I see alot of comments saying he got screwed purposely however it's obvious from his comments he is leaving out alot of key details to make himself look good. I can see him being in a situation where he got screwed for something but he's had a ton of things he's gotten involved with and they can't possibly all be him getting "screwed" or someone out to get him everytime.
Hes got ADD is why...thats what tested hot for him the meds he takes.
DW talks the same way.must be an Owensboro thing.
I want to know more. Really fascinating. Jeremy needs a movie deal on this one. I would go see that movie
I appreciate Dale Jr and think he does an exceptional job.
Mayfield has been vindicated!!! Thanks to Jr. & the boys for giving Jeremy access to the platform. Mike's comments about Mayfield prove the power of mass media propaganda and gossip! The dude doesn't know Mayfield, but believes he's a meth head. If you haven't yet, go check out the Mayfield documentary.
Yep, Mike is an idiot for letting someone twist is balls so he speaks only what they want him to speak.
Vindicated, lmfao. You only heard his side. And he never explained two positives for meth. Dude a pathological liar
@@jimsachtjen119 he did, ADDERALL and pseudophedrine led to the first positive test. Second one he hadn't taken anything so it should have been negative. The tests Jeremy had done independently were also negative
@@shaunstrasser1 HE TESTED POSITIVE FOR METH TWICE. That has nothing to do with Adderall. Google it. Only one way you test positive for meth by doing meth.
@@jimsachtjen119 ADDERALL AND PSEUDOPHEDRINE CAN COME UP AS METH ON DRUG TESTS. THAT IS BECAUSE ADDERALL IS AN AMPHETAMINE BASED DRUG AND PSEUDOPHEDRINE IS USED TO MAKE METH BOTH DRUGS JEREMY WAS USING UNDER DOCTORS ORDERS
Everyone knows that the "Big Mistake" was made by Ray Evernham and his illicit affair with Erin Crocker, who was a minor when he seduced her. Everything that Evernham touched was tainted after that. My big question through Jeremy's entire ordeal was always "why?". I believe he has answered that question. One thing we should agree on: our sin never hurts just ourselves, and Jeremy was collateral damage.
just researched this Erin Crocker affair, WOW, this is not explained in the interview. Now what happened to Jeremy is perfectly clear. He seems honest to me, he was definitely naive as to other people's dastardly deeds, but when people intentionally disguise their intentions and happenings, it is difficult for everyone to understand. I think Jeremy was so focused on racing, he didnt have time to ponder the other things and was caught offguarded.
She was not a minor….
@@brandonenglund7516 and ?
@@brandonenglund7516 Yeah she wasnt a minor by the math I did. Thats not really an appropriate comment and should be removed.
@@darrellcollins877 well since you can’t read the previous comment where he claims she’s a minor, I was simply correcting him. Might as well get your facts straight.
I was a HUGE NASCAR fan, but once the commercial side of it became dominate over the actual racing, I started pulling away. I completely walked around the time Jr was dealing with the entire mess of getting a car. I suddenly saw how political it had become. It was no longer a sport where innovation & knowing how to actually put together & drive a car to its limits were the key points.
Ya , Jeremy knew Exactly what he was doing with those little digs of his. His Ego was Bigger than his Talent , got his feelings hurt , and thought he would stick it to Ray. Heard it from a source close to him at the time.
Jeremy seems like a really nice guy. But not too bright.
Awesome interview.
This has to be one of the best guest Jr has brought on
Great interview 👍
Good job guys . Great interview.
Do you guys not post the full interview on RUclips anymore?
by far one of the best interviews Dale has done. Does Dale believe Jeremy enough to help him go back to racing on theNASCAR sanctions tracks. He looks great for a person on meth for 13-14 years. Wishing him the best.
Exactly, see my comment from about 2 hours after yours. Meth takes over your whole life. This guy never did meth.
This whole situation is the reason why drivers need to band together. It’s hard to find good talent. Drivers need to be protected and not fired. This is why I liked the champion provisional. Champions should be allowed to race whenever.
Good interview! Great job little e!!!
There seems to be a chapter missing on this story. Wasn't Jeremy a Penske driver? He was Rusty's teammate and finished 3rd in the 1998 Daytona 500.
Gregorious Anomalous, WTH does all that have to do with Mayfield's crimes/convictions?
He ran for Michael Kranefuss in 1998 (actually for 3 seasons) in the 12 car - they were affiliated with Penske but not actual teammates. In 2001 the 12 team became part of Penske and Mayfield drove in 28 races - but the same season Mayfield lost his ride to Ryan Newman.
His time with Penske was before he drove for Evernham, and nothing really shady happened there so it’s understandable why that wasn’t brought up.
@@sergeantmasson3669 You are a bit slow aren't ya. The podcast isn't about crimea and convictions now is it.....
its interesting having mayfield's side to all of this but it just feels like he's not 100% truthful with any of his replies.
Agree !
this is gold i laughed so hard when dale realized that Jeremy legit didn't know about Mary separating haha
I've wondered what would've happened if Erin Crocker was picked up by one of the other big teams in 2005.
Legs wide open
Tim Richmond & Jeremy Mayfield were fast on & off track. Some say they are bad & some say they are Legends
seems like he had something to say about Rusty when he was at Penske as well.
Mayfield never did anything wrong. It is NASCAR's unclear drug policy that got him out of NASCAR.
completely agree
There’s still 2 sides to that story, he was found to have over $100k in stolen goods in the police raid, it wasn’t just the speaker system. It was also like race cars that he refused to give back to someone. He’s not completely clean in this whole deal.
@@krispyminty1514 thank you
Testing positive for meth twice was Nascar's fault. Lmao. Keep buying his lies if it works for you. Adderall shows up as a pseudoephedrine and Claritin as an antihistamine. Neither one creates a positive test for meth. Only one way that happens.
I still dont understand how hes not allowed to be at a Nascar track even as a fan. Thats criminal.
That part leading up.. gave me that awkward grin... haha like oh boy...
We don't know much about Erin but, Ray pinned her legs back like a Tyson chicken !
You get sloppy-second rate parts when your car owner is sleeping with your teamate
Hopefully, even though the Cup Series has passed him by, maybe we can see some redemption in like the SRX Series, or even ARCA, or a one off Truck race for him to see if he still has it.
i still dont really understand what happened. feel like explaining?
Was at a trade show maybe a year after this all happened and Ray was standing next to me at a companies exhibit. Waiting for me to finish talking to one of the engineers. Kind of a strange energy from him.
NASCAR lost a rockstar. Mayfield would've been today's Mark Martin
I like Ray but that picture thing was some funny stuff!!!😂😂😂
Damn. He got railroaded
I’d rather watch this than a race now...
I like to listen to Podcast. However if I know there is a whole video version I want to see and listen to that. Where can I go on the internet to see the entire Dirty Mo Podcast with video included.
Nascar has to be steaming, this reality isn't the picture they're trying to sell. Thanks for the wake up call junior.
evernham paintschemes were such a vibe back in the day as a kid
My favorite nascar driver of all time him and his dad
Its been 2 months since this interview, I think Junior should have a follow up interview with him on the feedback he has received.
This was awesome
the boat that was there that was stolen.. was it a 15.5 Akuma raft jon boat w a 25hp Yamaha? if so it's mine
When the competitive feeling stomps on the pure joy of just being able to participate then it is time to step away and JUST BREATHE for a minute. Clean the glasses and gain new focus.
Love Jeremy Mayfield. Hate how NASCAR set him up and railroaded him.
What’s the Chicago Tribune full page reference about?
So are we just going to ignore that fart sound at 4:29 ?
A guy that is a racing motor biulder from where i live in Waycross Ga went and biult motors for Ray when he started his teams a few years in...and this guy was a genius at motors and he said he quit after 6 months because of Rays attitude about everything...smallest details...if i hire a guy to do a job if he is doin it the best he can and well...im not gonna tell him what to do if i cant do it...thats like me telling a guy how to biuld a sky scraper and i do drywall...hello McFly anybody home...Ray was a prick...he won a lot of races as CC but not team owner...you have to have people skills too bro...
LMAO my first time watching his podcast, he is a natural at this!
Wow... I used too think Mayfield was a loser, and Ray was cool. Turns out I was totally fuckin' wrong !!! Best wishes Mr. Mayfield, keep on truckin' buddy...
i cant exactly remember but what was it that jeremy said in that post race interview
Ya know....
Alright now, who the hell farted at 4:29 🤣
Lmao they did..didn't they lol
