Thank you, thank you, thank you.🎆 Just tried it and I'm so in love with these lip balms, the first Ive ever made too. Never used cocoa butter before. But the smell of the warming cocoa butter and coconut oil was amazng from the start. I used Vanilla, Ginger and Lime essential oils. And also some English Toffee Sweetleaf Stevia drops. To add extra scent and a touch of sweetness. So far I love balms. Thank you again for the recipe. And so quick and easy too. Definitely don't pkan to buy store bought again.
@@elaineanderson8903 I can. Mine smells wonderfully of chocolate and orange. Its been a while since I made it and the scent is still there. It has no taste though.
Hi! I finally got all of the ingredients so I'm planning to make them this weekend. I only have to questions: 1. Can I add vit E oil too? 2. Instead of/Additionally to chopsticks, do you think I can put it into little aluminium jars (like vaselines are)?
Thanks for this recipe! It's super simple. I made a batch last week for my son's GF. She had very dry chapped and cracked lips. (After over a month, & multiple $$ on commercial products) I really like peppermint so I used a little more, and less lavender, I also popped 2 drops of frankincense. It was AMAZING! She saw a difference overnight and her lips were back to normal within 3 days. I also gave some to a friend (who's addicted to a popular brand). I think she's converted. One question Laura, because it has no preservatives, how long will these lip balms last?
Laura love all your recipes. Your whipped body butter has been a life saver. I have been using it on my leg which had been constantly getting infected from an ulcer caused by a blood clot. Before using your body butter I had been spending so much money on ointments prescribed by my doctor, all of which worked for a short time until I had to reapply. Meanwhile I’m spending a ton on medication but more importantly my body is absorbing a bunch of chemicals. Now I am feeling a whole lot better, infection has not come back since I’ve been using this butter and I feel good knowing what is going into my body. All this to say that I love and trust your recipes and will continue to make them. With regards to the lip balm, my little granddaughter loves wearing red lipstick so I’d really like to make her an all natural lip balm with a red tint. What can I use to turn this into a “red lipstick “ for her? Thank you❤
Only question I have is since we always recommend we don't mix plastic and oils together.. and it's possible for this to enter our mouth? Are the tubes you've recommend rated for use with essential oils?
Just subscribed i love all your videos !thank you u and ur videos are amazing i never knew all the chemicals they pu tin skincare these days and even tho they say its free of stuff u cant always trust them!1wil be subscribign to EVERYTHING Thank you once again!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sadae Sashington this is very close to the lotion bar recipe she has up. It is an amazing recipe! Cocoa butter is a Cosmogenic oil (it can clog pores) so if you want to use it on your face, swap it for Shea butter.
Hi! I really love this video. The lip balms look super easy to make and Im thinking about making some. Do the balms have a sticky-like texture to the lips?
Hi, i know I’m kinda late to this video, but I just started doing a “zero trash lifestyle” and I’m trying to make a my own lip balm using natural products, i was wandering if i could replace or add vaseline to this lip balm recipe ? I still had a pack of vaseline and I really don’t want to waste it 😅 thank you !!!
They will get a little soft and left in high temperatures but we store them at room temp (even during the summer) and they don't just melt. Hope that helps!
Some essential oils are sage to ingest depending on the brand you are using. If you are worried about it you can always leave the essential oils out and the lip balm still works great!
How do you die down the smell of chocolate from the smell of cocoa butter. When making lip balms. I use fragrance oils and well I don’t smell my oils I smell the chocolate how can I fix that problem as fragrance oils are not cheep.
I just made these and they smell amazing but, unfortunately after 4 hours have not become solid. I put them in the refrigerator and I’m hoping that might help.

Certain plastics are OK with essential oils and when it is diluted this much it doesn't matter. I have never had any issues with this one.

What about used as like a lip gloss??
Can you use this on your face and body as well? Not just your lips?

Hello! Could you tell me where you got your funnel? Thanks!
Would citrus oil be okay outdoors in a colder climate?
I try not to wear any citrus in direct sunlight.

Can I use fractions coconut oil in this?
No, it won't set up with FCO.

This works for little tins too!
Thank you for this video 💟
You're welcome!!
How do you clean your bowl and funnel after beeswas has cold? I‘ve washed it but it is still sticky 🙈
Boiling water and a cloth! It is the only way.
Does the cocoa butter have a strong smell or flavor? My son doesn't like chocolate. Could I substitute a different butter?
Yes, you can do shea butter or mango butter.
Can i put some honey and olive oil instead of cocoa butter...thanx
I have not tried that yet, but I need to experiment with it!
Honey is water soluble and will end up seeping to the bottom of your lip balm tubes.
What can you use instead of coconut butter?
Shea or mango butter

Hi by putting 20-25 drops of EO in, can you smell it as i made beeswax candles and there was no smell from them unfortunately
