Bro if you upgrade your air filter to k&n filter. It increases the air flow in the engine, now engine has more air , so it can push more fuel towards the cylinder .
Hence if you add more air it adds more fuel, So the average (milage) of the car decreases thought the engine reaction time will be more instant. Like around 2-5% react more fast. Does not increase the performance.

THE 2ND THING IS THE PLACE YOU INSTALLED THE FILTER ITS GOING TO SUCK ALL HEAT THAT ENGINE PRODUCES... THE GUY WHO INSTALED SHOULD HAVE INSTALLED WHERE THERE IS COLD AIR.... COLD AIR GIVE EVEN MORE POWER...... SO JUST CHANGE THE LOCATION OF THE FILTER
