Thanks so much! There's a lot of boring stuff I didn't show - photo's of where everything goes, notes that I take, partition boxes with corresponding numbers on etc. Didn't want everyone thinking I was a weirdo! lol!
Hi Phil, your knowledge of all things mechanical is fantastic, your videos have helped in quite a few things, l hope you know were it all goes back together, hope your health is ok
@charlesalderson9738 Thanks so much! Really glad that you are enjoying these vids 😊 Cheers, very much, I have an update video coming out tomorrow about my health but I had the op and 5 weeks into recovery. I'm so happy, I feel like I am getting better rather than getting worse. Declining day by day, week by week etc is scary when you are waiting! ha ha, yes, only time will tell if I can put everything back where it came from, keep watching! 😂😂 thanks, Phil
I took off alot of those bits, aluminium crash bar, lights, radiators etc on my F22 build but dont think id take on a seized engine ?? I try to keep my projects to things i can do myself. But interesting to watch your journey !!
@arnietwo11 Good to hear from you! Sounds like you had a pretty big job too! I admit the seized engine is a bit of an unknown for me but I'll keep working away and trying to be methodical (I'm not one for rushing!) and fingers crossed, it'll come good. Regardless of outcome, everything will 100% be shown in the vids! 👍😀 Cheers, Phil
Hi Phil, quick question if I may... the online manual that you referred to.. is this the same as say Haynes online or do you have another resource that perhaps you can share? Rest assured, won't be doing any flood damage repair, just something to refer to during my tinckering and not making things worse :)
Hi @thesheriff99 I bought a digital BMW Series 1 F40 Repair Manual from ebay. It is actually very good and I'm pretty sure it is a searchable PDF version of the BMW technical manual that their technicians use. There's actually lots of sellers but this is who I used and it has been excellent. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/115961052018?var=416099121111
Honestly and genuinely, thanks for the reminder! 😱 I couldn't remember and it really can cause a big problem with the paint, so I went and checked and it was gone! 😅 cheers, Phil

‘Who makes an 18, that’s ridiculous’ made me laugh out loud 😂😂
Ha ha! I was just chuntering away to myself whilst working but it tickled me too during the edit… 😊
"...who makes an 18...that's ridiculous!" Great stuff! Only for the brave. Thoroughly enjoyable video.
Ha ha! Glad you enjoyed the video, I really like making them 👍 Only for the brave, or the foolhardy! 😂
Wow! You’ve got guts - complex project! I love how methodical you are - could watch this stuff all day!
