Awesome video, super helpful! I just finished the wheel bearing replacement. I found that using a pair of vice grips and hammering that was enough to pull the cv axle shaft to catch the threads.

Hi my friend what is the name of the tool you use to hammer the axle back in place

It is some kind of a random clamp I got it from Ebay and I showed part # in the video. But in reality, later on I found out that there is a special axle puller tool set instead of hammering it back ad it cost like 50$ on Ebay , so you should get it instead of that type of a clamp and hammering... Next week I will be replacing rear bearing and I will be using that dedicated axle pulling set that I purchased for myself, as I dont want to hammer it again

It's a little tough to see, but I'm pretty sure those aren't hex heads. Those are torques T25 Something like that size. Because T5 those are tiny tiny . They
sometimes call the bit a star drive.

According to you I need over$1,000 dollars in snap on tools to do this job

@sakuraturbo3364 if you work on cars all the time, than yes, 1000$ or even more, depending on a brand of tools, as Snap-on is one of the good brands, but not always my preferred choice , especially if i work on German brand cars ( Snap on have very little variety of special tools for german cars) . But if you want to save money and do it yourself, and if this is one time deal, you can buy lower end tools from Harbour Freight store and it will do the job for 1/4 of a price.
