Half Beat - Full Beat - Full Beat - Full Beat = Nonsense. It's Half Beat - Half Beat - Full Beat - Full Beat ;-)

I understand the confusion! And I do believe I misspoke, but on the last beat!
"&" = half a beat, which is clear.
The "&" in this case comes before the "1" and after the "3" (if we're using sequence not counts).
The "1" isn't any quicker than "2" because the "&" is before the "1". It makes it seem quicker because the "&" is in fact quicker than the "1".
I do believe the "3" should be a half beat in this case since the "&" follows the "3" so I did misspeak there :)
It should be half beat (&) - full beat (1) - full beat (2) - half beat (3)
If you clap it out then "&" and the "3" are clearly the quickest to make sense of it :)
