TWA was a part of every summer for 11 years of my life. Flying my grandmother and I to the East Coast (Jersey shore). This jingle still reminds me of summertime as a kid.
My mom worked for TWA right before they closed in the mid-to-late-90s. It was great, she flew free and we as family flew for about $20. Because of their headquarters, the layovers were always in St. Louis, so anytime we had a long layover (more than a couple of hours), we'd take the train into downtown St. Louis. Fun times. :-)
@tvpirate05 No offense, but technically, TWA didn't close, but was bought out by Ft. Worth-based AMR Corp. and merged into American Airlines. And by now, American only serves 7 airports from St. Louis. Ironically, the airline currently with the biggest presence in St. Louis is another Texas-based airline: Dallas-based Southwest Airlines.

Fewer seats! I can hear every airline CEO having a heart attack.
I would prefer that TWA and PanAm would be reborn.

They have to bring back TWA !! Back when airlines competed on their services not their prices .
Its so good to see TWA's advertising. Thank you for posting this.
I'm convinced, I'm getting me a TWA ticket on my next flight!
How was the trip?
Lockheed L-1011 "Tristar" at 0:27. the Tristar was a huge plane. Not much smaller than a Boeing 747.
we...USD 30 back in 83 was a shitload of money
miss the damn tri-star : )
$10 to $30 more than coach... today its minimal a $100 dollars plus
Ten to twenty dollars to go from economy to business class? It's no wonder TWA was put out of business.
inflation dude.
They should rebuild the airline
No more deleting, HAS THE WORLD EVER GONE BAD

Could you fly TWA to BWI?
Does anyone else think his voice sounds familiar from the show Futurama?
I’m pretty sure it’s sportscaster Don Criqui. He did other TWA ads as well.
