The last OnePlus device that came with a Type-C to Type-C cable was the 8T, and I am still using the cable to charge my MacBook and Galaxy phone. Good old OnePlus days.
The design does look better in the other 2 colors where it's easier to catch a glimpse of the Hasselblad logo. Though the white one looks very premium in it's defense.
It looks better then on videos and photos. Like said it would look like every other phone if they centered it more. Hopefully they change it next year but I doubt. It's still really premium and the smooth frozen back glass is amazing.
Thanks for another quality video. I'd love to hear your opinion on how the OP13's camera compares to the S23U, especially for capturing fast moving subjects (kids, pets) accurately and in focus. Unf the S23U after almost 2 years and several software updates, it's still hit or miss.
The phone is very good, I sold my s24 ultra because it gave me a lot of problems, nothing to do with the previous models, the s20 that I had and which I returned to works better. Another reason for the sale was to buy this one when it comes out
In fact, the reason that OnePlus uses type A outputs with their chargers is cost. They Mass manufacture they're smart super vooc chargers so, they can include them in the box. Universal cereal bus charges less for the older type a technology. Conversely, universal cereal bus charges far more for the modern type C. Since they are mass-producing them, they have to do so as cheaply as possible. Otherwise, it wouldn't be cost efficient for OnePlus to include the charger in the box.
Never heard of this channel. The video quality is really good for a small channel. In the thumbnail, given the usual red box of OnePlus phones, I thought this is an MKBHD video 🔥
trading shenzen should not do this stuff though. "IMPORTANT: Region Lock erased, COLOR OS Version (no Android Auto, no eSIM) - Oxygen OS comes when Oneplus releases it globally (flash maybe possible afterwards, but no guarantee)" on their oneplus 13 phone page... Going to get this phone to replace oneplus 10 pro when released globally. i will miss the hole punch on the left though. was kinda unique.
quick question as tradingshenzen did not understand correctly: on colorOS when you factory reset and do a first boot, do you get the option to restore from a google backup? i know playstore has to be installed later on. love your reviews and follow u a long time now =) keep it up, cheers 😃
You don't, the only oneplus 13's around at the minute are chinese, if you want oxygen os etc you'll have to wait for the global rom to become available, resetting it after buying it is pointless right now until you can actually flash it with oxygen
@@SuperbFairy so colorOS, china version does not allow restore from googlebackup, gotcha. gonna buy one anyway and flash global rom once avaible. and there is no "we dont support unlock bootloader" in a community that big which get EVERYTHING open no matter what the manufaturer wants^^
Appreciate that the display is a little more flat, but I have to admit it looks like the bezels are bigger than on the 12. Is that how it seems in person?
Interesting preview. Curious to see what the global version will bring (fixes) to the phone. Will the camera department be in par with Vivo X200 Pro? 😎 BTW 6,000mAh is huge and it charges so fast!
I'm always hearing that you can flash the global ROM onto these Chinese phones but I can never find anyone doing it on RUclips. some kind of tutorial or guide sheet

One big reason I start to watch your video was the mention of the speaker and vibration in your reviews. Most of the people dont know about good speaker. good cameras for a smartphone, but a bit mid for a flagship. It's still the same old Oneplus. Can't wait for the Vivo X200 Ultra once that comes out, definitely considering replacing my S23U for it ❤
Perhaps this is just me, but there's something about this phone I'm just not feeling it right now compared to the last one. Somehow the appeal and charm just not there.
I had the first one plus with the furry back, and all way up to 6 and nord, now they are just same as every other phone company and really expensive, that why the owner started Nothing Phones
Haven't seen one of these new Chinese phones in person yet, but from the videos I've seen I have to admit... I don't like the semi flat screens they have. With curved displays you can get super tiny side bezels, but you get a bit of distortion and a lot of glare along the curve. These new quad microcurved displays seem to have bigger side bezels and still have noticeable glare in exchange for no distortion. I'd rather either a fully flat front glass so there's no glare, or a typical curved display for the sleeker look and smaller bezels - and this is coming from someone who doesn't really like curved displays. I'm just saying from what I've seen in videos I think I might actually prefer curved displays to these new kinda-flat-kinda-curved fronts
Affordable is a strong word. More like, more affordable compared to the other not affordable smartphones 😂
It's an affordable flagship, flagships are expensive xd
