I am all for Michael taking the mantle from the great and never forgotten Anthony Bourdain. What made his shows and storytelling so great is the same as what Michael has, a great storyteller has to be great with words and a big part of what makes Michael's videos stand out is how he frames a tech review around great storytelling about the places he is visiting and the things he experienced using that tech.
well that what's kept me watching him ever since. Since he was still in pocket now. Then started this Channel on his own. His frosting words is just different 🥰🥰
Ok, this video is not a tech dive on specs nor a review about technology. This video is about the feeling proportioned by a specific product that is, by far, the most important thing that almost every manufacturer seemed to forgot over the last decades... Thank you mrmobile, for your different approach to the subject. Thank you for making me remember what was like in the 00's, to be excited not about ram and storage, but experience and innovation!
I would love to see you do more travel focused content. Your description of your travels and impressions of India were lovely to hear. Seeing how you use tech abroad, on your journeys, would be incredible. And I think its really fitting for Mr. Mobile!
One of life's great mysteries... Is why this channel doesn't have 10-20 Million subscribers, considering how much dedication you put into scripting these videos so poetically. Wishing you nothing but the best Michael! Also, because of what you spoke of towards the end, I'm sending you a hug, it should arrive to you between 7-10 business days. :)
I think it is mostly because he does not make cheap, controversial or click-bait content or does not make advertisement of brands in the guise of review.
Finally you got your hands on this innovative trifold beast. It may has a lot of shortcomings, but HUAWEI's willingness to take the step is really really commendable 👏
Whew. A 13 minute 'phone review' made me feel melancholic, wistful and philosophical. I literally got goosebumps by the end. Your writing is just getting more profound and personal and it's incredible.
Reason I love you: you are a real tech reviewer. So many american reviewers of this phone stupidly said: "Google services can't work on the phone" when in reality, a quick google search show how to install them. Thanks for being a real one here.
I remember watching your review on Mate 20 Pro then buying it in the end of 2018. I don't know how I'm still daily driving this. I don't have enough words on my dictionary to properly show how much I appreciate your reviews among all the reviewers. Thank you Michael Fisher.
I cannot believe me, living here in New Delhi, a huge fan, never knew you visited India. Crying in the corner. EDIT: Phenomenal explanation of "jugaad" there haha
A friend of mine let me tried his Mate XT for a few hours the other day and I can't go back, it makes my Galaxy Fold 6 looks like a useless toy. So I definetely feel you Michael.
Don't worry. His phone will be broken within months! But yours won't. 🤷 (Always exposed plastic screen means scratches from literally everything and 1 drop = death.)
@Cooe. You can change the protective film. Huawei mate x, xs and xs 2 have been around for years and are not as sensitive even though they have the same fold out screen. This device is insane but very expensive.
Hoping that this doesn't sound too pretentious, but this wasn't just a phone review; this was ART. We only got like two specs about the phone because the philosophy of it was so captivating. I truly got a better feel of the product and how it relates to the industry (and then how the industry relates to the world) than any other standard tech reviewer. Thank you, Mr. Mobile; you yourself are capturing the essence of what you preached in this review: elegant and furious improvisation in the face of hardship
Living in India, I am bored of generic travel videos to India, you went to the generic places but captivated me. It is not about the place, it is about the presentation.
Your storytelling and human connection through the screen is what I love your videos so much! And also, sending you some hugs... I know it won't solve your existential crisis for you, but at least I hope it makes you understand you are not alone!
Michael, to me, this is possibly your finest work to date. You had me immersed in every single second of that story. The voiceover during the stills section was captivating to another degree. I truly hope you are well and know, there are a million things a man as talented as you could do, this year, five years, ten years, you have so much of life left and you will excel at whatever path to "happiness", whatever that is, you choose. Stay well my friend. Love from 🏴
I have been watching you and your channel grow for years I just wanted to say that I appreciate it so very much you sharing the personal aspect of your journey. Keep the stellar reviews coming... And if you ever need to take a break you know the internet will always be here waiting. With love and support, Shanti.
It was the Z Fold 3 watching the last airbender when I was sick for a whole week isolated in my apartment, that really sold me. Then being able to show my photography on a large display at any time... to others and myself oddly enough, makes it still worth it today. (now fold 6)
