i think 5 years of os is worth the wait, here in Malaysia they are the same price, it's the deciding factor for me, maybe better to wait for the ultra variant but Oppo is on my list for android phones

I think oneplus did really well across the board too, sure, vivo was better but I would say when it comes to price and firmware the difference in camera is negligible so that would be my choice

Considering its new and haven't got any software updates unlike the Vivo X200 pro which already had a multiple software update but still having problem with the Lens flare, over saturated. Without any software update the Oppo find X8 pro defeated the iphone `16 pro max, the samsung s24 ultra and also this vivo X200 pro. Just imagine if Oppo got its software update?

I have the X100U and it's easily wipes the floor with any phone out there in terms of camera, minus the X200P. Don't use the default mode, the High Res mod and the rest for portrait, humanistic modes, are the best for all of your needs.

At this point its really tough to compare... its just nit picking and after sales service. Honor Magic 7 Pro- seems to be a very good all rounder Vivo x200 pro- camera ( its still blisteringly fast and capable at all fronts) Oppo x8 pro- good all rounder One Plus 13- international brand under OPPO... but seems to be a better phone overall compared to OPPO Xiaomi 15 Pro- was ahead of its pack with the 14 ultra for 2024 but the lines are blurring. TBH, u wont go wrong with any of these brands. Depending on the availability in your region. The Chinese invasion is making really capable phones. Anyone saying otherwise are just sheeps or just bigots. The only downside is probably updates+ availability. On a side note: Samsung, apple and google are looking like fools right now. I understand they have more optimized OS but the Chinese are catching up. Look I aint an advocate for Chinese phones but even an 1diot can tell the differences now when u really compare those phones. Edit: Currently... Honor and Oneplus seems to be edging out compared to the rest. But if pure portrait that u are looking for, VIVO should be king.

Pretty happy with the performance of the Oneplus 13 here. Apart from long range zoom more than 3x where it can't compete it wasn't far off and it's a good bit cheaper than the other two. Apart from the cameras it is better than the other two as well especially for the screen. Vivo is the best overall for the cameras though especially in lowlight. The only problem is the glare which is a widely recognized issue in China. Apparently it's the design of the lens module that's causing it. They've tried to fix it with an AI update but it probably can't be completely fixed. My conclusion would be if you really want the best cameras from these three go with the Vivo. If you want a cheaper option and probably the best all round phone phone of the three then the Oneplus 13 is a good choice. I probably wouldn't go for the find x8 pro as it's not really worth the extra price over the Oneplus 13 in my opinion especially considering the worse screen, weaker motor and only an optical fingerprint sensor
I went with the OnePlus as well, color and oxygen os in my opinion are better than funtouch os, and we should be able to flash our phones to global once the global version comes out

Vivo + Zeiss is the perfect combination! Zeiss engineers know how to do their job very well! With Nokia they did a great job as well. The only thing Vivo is not great in this comparison, are the microphones. Not good audio, unfortunately. But if I had to buy a phone right now, I would probably buy a Vivo. Who knows...maybe next year I'll retire my old Huawei P30 Pro (which still rocks, but no longer updated, sadly) 😁
Did not like the blue glare at night with the vivo. Oppo looked better in day but not so great at night. The one plus 13 is probably the best all rounder.
Very good camera comparison as always. The problem is that only Global version of Oppo Find X8 Pro is available and the price for it is absolutely insane - NZ$2199! I don't see it flying off the shelves and I can't afford it either. It's would be great to include Google Pixel 9 Pro XL in this comparison. It's cheaper, has better software support and might offer better photo quality oveall. Also Xiaomi 14 Ultra is cheaper and will likely beat them all too.
The Vivo X200 Pro has a 200mpix telephoto, which is why the footage is better at 10x zoom-it is a digital crop, I suppose. I can't imagine how the X200 Ultra will perform. Waiting for the global versions + eSim support :)

Very much appreciated. Been waiting for this comparison for a while now. No one else would seem to do it, but I just knew you would. I actually thought Oppo would take most of the these, but the Vivo just proved too strong all-around. Really wished Oneplus would have done a little more with the telephoto lense, but I thought it hung in there pretty well. A few updates should improve things even better.
TLDR: Zoom cameras: Oppo generally. Esp. sharper at 6x. Vivo better at 10X Portraits: Vivo, better stiching (but has skin smoothing) Selifies: OP13 Ultra-wide: Vivo Video: Vivo and Oppo Video stability: Vivo Audio: OP13 clearest, but more susceptible to wind noice
Thanks Chris for this video. You are one of those few tech reviewers who is impartial and I actually base my buying decisions on your videos. I bought the Vivo X100 Pro last Dec when it was launched globally based on your video and looks like I may upgrade to the X200 Pro based on your video again.
Another banger video my friend! Did the video before i could even request it, exceptional work! Vivo is overall the best, easily. The Oppo is really good considering the "inferior" hardware but for the price it better have been good lol, the oneplus is really good for the price, standing toe to toe with these is not a bad feat apart from video noise cancelling and super zoom shots it's good enough. I thought the main cam downgrade of the Vivo was gonna be annoying but damn they proved me wrong, really nice photos now. If Vivo went global all other phones would look mediocre.
Please, make a compare with x200 pro and x100 pro, so we can see if it's really worth the change, or if the evolution was just on zoom. thank you for your work!
Those flare in X200 Pro is normal like in most of expensive DSLR, you can just stop the light through with one hand and it's gone. It's just one little problem for me while X8 Pro has problems with fps drop and can't change from back to front camera when taking videos
The Xiaomi 15 pro is pretty weak though for cameras for the price especially for zoom. Just one 5x telephoto and a small sensor at that (same sensor as the 6x one on the Oppo Find x8 ultra). So basically up to 4.9x it has to use the main camera to zoom. It's kind of a strong all rounder but cameras are not its strength
It depends on the conditions. Usually if you take the pic of a building in daylight, 50x/60x is also unable on vivo and sometimes even 100x to some extent.
That's a nice comparison video. Vivo's camera is very impressive and the best of the three here. However given the fact that op13 is a very recent phone, I'm pretty sure there will be a couple of updates that will improve the camera. Also when the global rom will be released we might see a better performance of that camera.
X200 is definitely better when it comes to cameras, no doubt. But if I was choosing between the two, I'd go with OnePlus 13 for a simple fact that the forum community (flashing, rooting, etc) is there, but the same is not true for other BBK brands like Oppo/Vivo/iQoo. In the meantime I'll be sticking with my current OnePlus 12 16/512GB as 13 doesn't provide much in the cameras department comparatively.

The camera is definitely vivo However, due to the difference in price and OS, I prefer OPPO or OnePlus as a smartphone. I didn't feel a big difference between OPPO and OnePlus, so I chose OnePlus as it has a high possibility of being made into a global version later.

Honestly Oppo v Vivo. Oneplus isn't even competing well even with the same OS and Oppo. Strange. Oppo seems to slowly kill OP with lesser than flagship level performance and camera since a few years.
Owning an OnePlus 9 Pro it's sad to see that Oneplus is not really moving forward with image postprocessing and their sensor/lense choice is not the best either. OP are great phones and I like the OS but the cameras are a downer still.

Unfortunately Oppo chose pretty cheap and small sensors this year. LYT-800 series for the main (1/4") instead of the LYT-900 series 1" sensor. For the ultrawide, a cheap and small JN1 sensor (1/2.74"). And then for the 3x zoom LYT-600 1/2" and 6x zoom with the IMX858, but with a very small aperture. In the Netherlands, yesterday and today the phone was on sale for €480. I still bought it. But I have to be honest, this phone has no right to be €1149 in Europe. The photos are identical to the OnePlus 12, the ultrawide is even better on the OP12. Video has gotten a slight upgrade from the OP12, as the X8 Pro supports 4k60fps DV on all lenses compared to just the main sensor. For the rest on the X8 Pro compared to the OP12 I own: mid haptic motor, screen is the same but the camera button is great tho and the Dimensity 9400 seems great, runs not so warm and modem seems great aswell. If the Vivo X200 Pro comes to Europe, it would be an instant buy for me. Otherwise, for the full price, I'd wait for the Honor Magic7 Pro. I liked the photos way more on my Magic6 Pro, especially the enourmous sensor size on the zoom, extremely good for portraits. Of course, the Vivo has an even better version of this telephoto.

Looking for early next year's Ultra phones like S25 Ultra, Xiaomi 15 Ultra, Vivo X200 Ultra, and Oppo X8 Ultra. The Vivo is suspected to get three big sensors, while the main camera will be 35mm. Oppo will get 7x zoom using the 1/2 inch IMX882=LYT600, 75mm 3x zoom using the LYT701, and 1 inch main sensor. Xiaomi will be using a 4(?)x 200 MP sensor and an additional shorter zoom. But I fear that only Samsung and Xiaomi will bring global version 🥲
I have a Vivo x100 pro and I'm happy with it and I'm sorry but it's not worth the upgrade to any of these new phones cause the technology seems kinda stuck, I can't see such improvements worth another 1k dollars. Better to wait for the x200 Ultra or the x300 if this is gonna be its name.

Why I'm here. It looks worse except for adding the extra zoom lens to handle 6+ times zoom... I don't need that much for everyday use.

Very much appreciated. Been waiting for this comparison for a while now. No one else would seem to do it, but I just knew you would. I actually thought Oppo would take most of the these, but the Vivo just proved too strong all-around. Really wished Oneplus would have done a little more with the telephoto lense, but I thought it hung in there pretty well. A few updates should improve things even better.
Vivo is the best, the only thing that need to be fixed is the stabilization on video that seems the least stabile among them

Thanks Chris for this video. You are one of those few tech reviewers who is impartial and I actually base my buying decisions on your videos. I bought the Vivo X100 Pro last Dec when it was launched globally based on your video and looks like I may upgrade to the X200 Pro based on your video again.

Yes because it's mostly optical and not using as much fake blur like the other two. But the vivo dominated.

Vivo is overall the best, easily. The Oppo is really good considering the "inferior" hardware but for the price it better have been good lol, the oneplus is really good for the price, standing toe to toe with these is not a bad feat apart from video noise cancelling and super zoom shots it's good enough.
I thought the main cam downgrade of the Vivo was gonna be annoying but damn they proved me wrong, really nice photos now. If Vivo went global all other phones would look mediocre.

Those flare in X200 Pro is normal like in most of expensive DSLR, you can just stop the light through with one hand and it's gone. It's just one little problem for me while X8 Pro has problems with fps drop and can't change from back to front camera when taking videos

The Xiaomi 15 pro is pretty weak though for cameras for the price especially for zoom. Just one 5x telephoto and a small sensor at that (same sensor as the 6x one on the Oppo Find x8 ultra). So basically up to 4.9x it has to use the main camera to zoom. It's kind of a strong all rounder but cameras are not its strength
How usable is the Vivo at maximum zoom? X20? X30?

It depends on the conditions. Usually if you take the pic of a building in daylight, 50x/60x is also unable on vivo and sometimes even 100x to some extent.
I'm really impressed with the Oneplus 13, very good camera quality for the price.. maybe I will get that phone.

That's a nice comparison video. Vivo's camera is very impressive and the best of the three here. However given the fact that op13 is a very recent phone, I'm pretty sure there will be a couple of updates that will improve the camera. Also when the global rom will be released we might see a better performance of that camera.
X200 is definitely better when it comes to cameras, no doubt. But if I was choosing between the two, I'd go with OnePlus 13 for a simple fact that the forum community (flashing, rooting, etc) is there, but the same is not true for other BBK brands like Oppo/Vivo/iQoo. In the meantime I'll be sticking with my current OnePlus 12 16/512GB as 13 doesn't provide much in the cameras department comparatively.

However, due to the difference in price and OS, I prefer OPPO or OnePlus as a smartphone.
I didn't feel a big difference between OPPO and OnePlus, so I chose OnePlus as it has a high possibility of being made into a global version later.

Vivo has red tone , OP 13 Has bit green and opposite somewhere keeps it natural it is mixed on green and red tone which makes it look more natural

Honestly Oppo v Vivo. Oneplus isn't even competing well even with the same OS and Oppo. Strange. Oppo seems to slowly kill OP with lesser than flagship level performance and camera since a few years.
Vivo's X series is the camera champion as always, but only if their UI wasn't funny looking, the phone would've been perfect.

Owning an OnePlus 9 Pro it's sad to see that Oneplus is not really moving forward with image postprocessing and their sensor/lense choice is not the best either. OP are great phones and I like the OS but the cameras are a downer still.

Unfortunately Oppo chose pretty cheap and small sensors this year. LYT-800 series for the main (1/4") instead of the LYT-900 series 1" sensor. For the ultrawide, a cheap and small JN1 sensor (1/2.74"). And then for the 3x zoom LYT-600 1/2" and 6x zoom with the IMX858, but with a very small aperture.
In the Netherlands, yesterday and today the phone was on sale for €480. I still bought it. But I have to be honest, this phone has no right to be €1149 in Europe. The photos are identical to the OnePlus 12, the ultrawide is even better on the OP12. Video has gotten a slight upgrade from the OP12, as the X8 Pro supports 4k60fps DV on all lenses compared to just the main sensor.
For the rest on the X8 Pro compared to the OP12 I own: mid haptic motor, screen is the same but the camera button is great tho and the Dimensity 9400 seems great, runs not so warm and modem seems great aswell.
If the Vivo X200 Pro comes to Europe, it would be an instant buy for me. Otherwise, for the full price, I'd wait for the Honor Magic7 Pro. I liked the photos way more on my Magic6 Pro, especially the enourmous sensor size on the zoom, extremely good for portraits. Of course, the Vivo has an even better version of this telephoto.
from what i heard find x8 pro is not even the premium of oppo its the ultra model , which is crazy considering the global price
imagine putting 6x optical zoom into the phone, just to get beaten my 200mp 3.7x.

In good light the Oppo is certainly better at max zoom.

Something off with vivo main camera on the outdoor shot. The contrast at the sky and land is kinda weird.
Looking for early next year's Ultra phones like S25 Ultra, Xiaomi 15 Ultra, Vivo X200 Ultra, and Oppo X8 Ultra. The Vivo is suspected to get three big sensors, while the main camera will be 35mm. Oppo will get 7x zoom using the 1/2 inch IMX882=LYT600, 75mm 3x zoom using the LYT701, and 1 inch main sensor. Xiaomi will be using a 4(?)x 200 MP sensor and an additional shorter zoom. But I fear that only Samsung and Xiaomi will bring global version 🥲
Still photos look the best on Vivo, the video looks the best on the Oppo.

I have a Vivo x100 pro and I'm happy with it and I'm sorry but it's not worth the upgrade to any of these new phones cause the technology seems kinda stuck, I can't see such improvements worth another 1k dollars. Better to wait for the x200 Ultra or the x300 if this is gonna be its name.
