I've been away from youngsters for so long that it's nice to see an assemblage of them with their upbeat smiles playing the old master of centuries back.
My My !!! What an experience. The players are all of my granddaughters' age who too are musicians in their own rights. One is a pianist and the other a saxophonist. What a pleasure to listen to them performing.
I have watched and seen so many performances of this piece, but, I have to tell you, this IS The MOST Memorable performance I have ever seen! SO Many things are just "Right" about this one. A true enjoyment for me this evening. I kept starting it over from different points and then finally realized, I just needed to get to the end and simply play it all again. At this moment, sadly, 34 folks have given you a "Thumbs Down" vote. I'm not going to try and embarrass them or anything for their vote or anything like that. I'm going to know in my mind that those kind folks either don't know the TRUE story of this piece of music or, just don't think you all do it well. I am purposely NOT reading their comments because, no matter the reason, you Can't make Negative comments on a piece of music such as this with centuries of reviews that beg to differ, nor, with such a broad range of musicians from age to age and ability to ability. It simply WORKS, and that is the important, bottom line. Thank You all for making tonight a pleasurable evening for me. Kind Regards, Russ
