Do you know which interview or have a quote of what Newey said specifically there? Most reports I’ve seen (being in the US) is that Wache was second to Newey who was the Chief Technical Officer. I know Wache’s title as Technical Director is also a top role but I think internally it was suggested that Newey guided the direction.

What’s your point other than you have some sort of fixation with the British?
If Newey leaves RB he may or may not take senior members of his team with him. If that happens then Red Bull will need to restructure, if he leaves on his own they’ll continue as they are.
As I said, what point are you trying to make other than showing the world how defensive and worried you seem to be about the future of Red Bulls engineering strength?

@@bobkeul7682 Of course the British media will talk about British drivers, teams, engineers etc just as Dutch, Spanish media focus on Dutch & Spanish drivers because that’s all they can talk about.
The reality is the British have a rich heritage in F1 where Red Bull, Mercedes, McLaren, Aston Martin, Alpine & Williams cars are all designed and built in the UK. Of course key Red Bull people like Pierre Wache (French) Ben Waterhouse (British) Enrico Balbo (Italian) & Craig Skinner (British) are key members of the Red Bull engineering team but the fact remains many of your YT posts have an anti British bias, why is that?
Nation envy seems very strong with you. Just try to enjoy your driver winning races whilst it lasts and have a little respect for the 1,400 or so (Mainly British) men and women in Milton Keynes who have given him the opportunity to give him the machinery to win all his titles.

@@nakki123 It doesn't mean that, in fact it's not likely that at all.
Red Bull has been attracting top talent and poaching other's top talent for many years, they have massive money, the best driver, and a winning history, they are loaded with some of the best engineers in F1. Adrian has been mentoring and developing those engineers for many years, Pierre Wache is basically his protege and any team would jump at the opportunity to get him. There are many credible sources saying, including Adrian himself, that he hasn't been as involved in the last two cars, taking a more advisory role and allowing Wache more freedom to apply his vision (how much, I don't know, but Adrian clearly has a lot of trust in Pierre's ability, as well as the other engineers).
Red Bull's future dominance is much more so tied to the performance of their upcoming PU in 26, than it is to Adrian Newey. That and just how well everyone else deals with the new regulations. Red Bull also poached many top engineers from Honda, to go along with the rights to use the current Honda PU technology for their new in-house engine.
Adrian is the best in history, but there is a massive team of brilliant engineers behind him, who have been working with him for many years, so Adrian would be leaving Red Bull in good hands.

What if Newey wants to downscale? What if he wants a real back-to-basics challenge? If trust issues really broke down his relationship with RB, James Vowles seems like the guy I’d want to work with. Williams would be a hell of a challenge, not that they could pay him what he deserves, but maybe he wants that coming-up-from-nothing sort of experience once more in his career.

Newey leaving RB is good news on so many levels. Even if he decides not to re-enter F1 then it's a sort of justice for the exceedingly unpleasant Horner and punishment for RB sticking by Horner when it would have made so much sense to do the right thing . But hopefully he goes to another top team and all of a sudden F1 becomes watchable again.

What appears to be more surprising is that Helmut Marko can include clauses in driver contracts without the knowledge of the CEO. Those clauses may include HM being disassociated with RBR and drivers leaving because of this. Whole thing is strange. Peter did you know that Newey has a gardening leave clause in his contract (Pretty standard practice when it comes to intellectual property rights for a company) Which would prevent him from even joining another team until 2027. His contract with Red Bull doesn't expire until then end of 2025 even if he does resign they retain his contract rights. Which all that means he wouldn't even be able to start designing a car for another team until 2028 that wouldn't see the track until 2029... With that in mind and his own comment after it was leaked without it coming from him or Red Bull was that it was "Purely personal reasons". Would suggest at 65 years of age he's just simply done and wants to have fun with all the other things you mentioned in your live stream. Racing, building boats, and most importantly, doing things on his own schedule.
