In interviews this week Ricky has lied by stating he said Might wreck him. Look at the videos if the brawl. He never said "might". IMHO, Ricky's fine was appropriate for the assault AND the threat to wreck Kyle in Charlotte. I think NASCAR decided to not penalize Kyle and not add on a suspension to Ricky and move on. The suspension would have been works than paying $75K.

    2 yrs ago, Chase was walled hard by Hamlin and ruined his car and he reacted to being walled by chasing down Hamlin and sending him. Chase got sat down. Lost points and fine.
    KB crashes Stenhouse, claims he did it intentionally and Ricjky was just handy and walks pretty as can be with a little shiner, reporting sporty for the next race. And the guy he just flat out punts gets fined for being pissed? WTF?

      @Darth0308 7 месяцев назад

      I think the point is that they are marketing it but frowning on it at the same time. 75k is excessive for a fight regardless of how long he had to think about it. I've seen drivers fight it out in the pits after an altercation on the track that happened way back on lap 15. If they were 75k worth of concerned about it, they would have prevented it from the start. I don't think being raised is even relevant here, that's just weird.

    • @Saldivinorum
      @Saldivinorum 7 месяцев назад

      @Darth0308 no what's "weird" is forming a conclusive opinion of something without any semblance of research or understanding of the history of NASCAR let alone the specifics of the individual incident. First off the usual fine is a mere 10 grand, but that's for altercations wherein ones father doesn't step in nor does the driver premeditate verbally their intentions. Hence the unusually high amount.
      That said you're criticizing a sport that was started by out of work ex-criminals whose expertise was no longer needed for illegal transportation of liquor. A sport that has always advertised on-track fights as well as fining the fighters. This is nothing new, and to criticize NASCAR for this form of promotion is to say you've no knowledge about the history of the sport whatsoever. It's a way to keep the fights legitimate because only drivers truly mad are going to risk being fined as a consequence for losing control. Not fining a person for assaulting another person would be "weird." Not using bad publicity to a corporation's advantage in advertising would be "weird." Not understanding basic human nature is very "weird," in my opinion...

    • @Saldivinorum
      @Saldivinorum 7 месяцев назад +1

      It's actually a really smart goal, considering wins no longer count towards the end results of the championship, they only help the initial entry. That and the fact that 3 winning payouts add up to more than the bonus payout for a championship win. It's exponentially more lucrative to win individual races because the only clownlike joke is the craps shoot playoffs for NASCAR "champ." Race purses are approximately 1 and a half to over 2 million dollars, whereas a Championship bonus is 3 million. Doesn't take a math major to conclude that winning races is much more important than finishing in front of 3 specific cars in the very last race. But sure, keep thinking a NASCAR veteran has no clue what he's talking about when the subject is concerning his life-long career... ..

    The reason Ricky got fined was because he bought 4 others with him, so effectively it was 5 on 1. Busch was run up the hill for no reason on lap one. Ricky needs to find a brain!

      I agree. But I think they added more money when his Dad jumped in and started swinging at Busch. They made him an example. It should have stayed between the drivers. But Ricky's Dad hit him as well. That is why the heavy fine. I think that is a lite fine. They could have sidelined him and punished the team.

    There have been fights started and punches thrown throughout the history of Nascar with little or no consequences. Fining STENHOUSE is absolutely Rediculous. Heads need to roll in the Nascar governing body. They have been consistently HOPELESS for the last number of years.

    $75k is ridiculous and excessive. Matt Crafton sucker-punched Nick Sanchez last season and left him a bloody mess but only got fined $25k and received ZERO race sanctions.
    More NASCAR penalty inconsistency…

    Chase is a good Veteran driver, and Ricky Stonehouse is a decent driver, who has been very successful with the 47 race car team was fined more than necessary. 25 k is the norm for that.Kyle does get too aggressive sometimes

  • @JackedUpOnMTDew
    @JackedUpOnMTDew 7 месяцев назад +1

    I don’t have a problem with the fine he should be fined. He assaulted somebody and it’s the only professional Motorsport where you can get away with that and not go to jail. It’s great promotion for NASCAR. It gives them a ton of money on ad revenue. The driver has to pay a little bit but he gets a big story he gets big clicks too. It’s a win-win for everybody but 75,000 is beyond ridiculous.

  • @Bidens_Battle_Box
    @Bidens_Battle_Box 7 месяцев назад

    Yea hes ofcourse right, the fine is totally disproportionate for the situation and its idiotic to fine him in the first place. This will just encourage drivers to handle issues on track at speed instead of in the pits. Nobody wants to fight if their risking a monster fine like that.

      @@letsroll492 so Kyle didn’t break the rules when he punched Logano? Ross didn’t break the rules when he punched Noah? If it’s against the rules they shouldn’t show it to promote NASCAR.

      Jr. Or Harvick NASCAR. Would be fun again. Wallace ruined it for me with all the lying racist BS and nascar not punishing him for being a liar. Jordan should be smarter than that keeping Wallace in the stable. Wallace believes just parading around in a fire suit you are a nascar driver, but his average wins shows his just a caution car for the true driver of the team Tyler R.

    NASCAR can't have it both ways, either drivers need to be allowed to "settle" their differences after a race or they will retaliate on the track. If Stenhouse didn't do this then he would eventually wreck KyB on the track, now they can move on. NASCAR recently justified not fining for a fight bc they don't want drivers retaliating by intentionally wrecking each other on the track.

    Points for Chase letting his personality come out.
    Not that I am condoning hitting someone in the nose, but I feel like the fact KB intentionally spun Ricky into the wall is being lost. Actions like this on the track are far more risky to driver’s health, cause teams money and time in repairs, and can impact other teams that had nothing to do with the situation. Oddly, it seems a punch causes far less damage.

    might be one of the most ridiculous comment sections ive seen in my life right here, NASCAR can penalize Stenhouse for waiting for two hours to punch without even attempting to have a conversation for more than a minute, but also promote it because NASCAR Media and NASCAR Officials are two seperate entities under the same banner, See: 1979 Daytona 500 fight.
