How do you deal with snakes and frogs for these types of pond pools?

Frogs shouldn't be an issue because the plants and thus the food for the frog isn't in the swim area. You very well could get them in the planting area. You should be okay with this or a natural pool may not be right for you. If you live somewhere with water snakes and you live close to water where they live you may run into them on occasion, but again they're following the food which isn't in the swimming area. If the snakes are poisonous you should take precautions otherwise I can't imagine it being an issue.

There are no snakes in R.O. Ireland as temperatures in the country have never get quite warm enough to sustain a snake population. 😁

Mosquitoes thrive in stagnant water. Keeping it circulating and aerated takes care of that. Old tires are a bigger mosquito problem.

Done right, these are lower maintenance than chlorine pools.
