Remember i mentioned a few weeks ago that the R8 was priced way too high. Im not surprised it didnt sell and had to traded. The price was too high for miles listed on it.

Ed, I just wanted to say for myself and I think a lot of other people that watch these videos keep the channel just the way it is. No sense in changing a great thing just because certain people, who got popular off this channel, now want to come in and criticize and tear it down just for some clout.

I agree. He has done just as much dumb shit as anyone with the stories about being hated in his town because of all the stuff he done is his viper and now is going after others. I think he has lost it.
The GTC4 Lusso has to be kept on a good Ctek tender (it has a trick magnetic attachment on the rear bumper for the OEM tender that comes with the car). Cold mornings can cause the battery to be weak for startup and this car is super sensitive to voltage fluctuations. It will throw all those errors at the same time. But it's the PTU oil pressure error that you have to watch out for.
I got the pleasure of hearing one start up in my friends garage back when they first came out. Freaking screaming loud and sounds amazing.
The christmas tree issue is probably just the battery being low. Happened a few times with me (with an 812) and quite a few other people too.
There are a lot of these in Miami. I’ve always looked at them and said; “why?” I’ve never understood this oversized “hot hatch” and it looks a lot like a station wagon that got kicked in the rear but then someone I know bought one and I started looking at them from a different perspective. Now, I kinda like them. I get the feeling that driving one is why Ed has come around.
I love the Lusso. Nice catch. I think the car is gorgeous and as you said useful.

The way Ed describes the cars he gravitates towards reminds me of how my step-mom accuses my dad and I of only buying "Special Needs Cars": rare, mechanically finicky, lots of check-engine lights, parts hard to acquire, high mileage, but high performance (when they run)!
As a person who buys special needs cars and the father of a special needs child this made me chuckle. I'll have to remember that phrase the next time my car breaks. Maybe it will lighten the mood a bit when telling my wife how much it's going to cost.

Had a drive in a GTC4 Lusso in Italy. Same length as a e60 BMW, but nearly a foot wider. Easy to drive as a Toyota Camry, just a lot more power! Beautiful interior too
I wonder who is going to be the first youtuber to buy the *highest mileage Purosangue* in the USA, maybe in 24/30 months time
They leak internally and fluids mix from gear oil to actuator oil. Easiest way to tell is see how much actuator oil it takes to top it up to max. Then drain the gear oil and it will be over max by approx that amount of oil. Really common on ff and lusso.
Sounds like a heap of expensive junk. For the price, you'd think they'd be better cars.

Been a big fan of Eds stories for a long time....cant help but chuckle at the Bucees stop there. Fun fact, Bucees started store #1 just a skip and a hop from where I live.....keep the stories and the shrewd negotiating going!

I love this cause that's my local chevrolet dealership in New albany MS been in service since 1919 and our teeny tiny town went crazy with Ed Bolian a ferarri and an R8 in it tbh that dealership hasn't even had a C8 yet but it's had an R8 and ferarri that was a cool week

I'm the same age as Ed Freddie and Tyler. I realized recently that we're getting old now when I as well started shopping the FF and GTC4 lusso while trying to convince everyone around me that it's the best Ferrari you can buy. Because of it's usefulness and practicality 😂

I have to agree Ed I too happen to love the FF . It's like the world's badest hot hatch . I like the way they look I mean it's no 458. Or a LP 640 . But it's wicked and certainly better than the Audi . Although that is still on my must have if I ever hit the power ball list. You know for the next Car trek you three should have a contest where each picks a random subscriber. And see which one can win the series of contest that you all typically do. At the end the winner gets the car . Example you see what team can turn the fastest lap time . All the cars are spected the same tho . So you guys get to train the winner from your channel. Of course Ed I would be glad and honored to be on your team . Since I missed out on the Vinwiki challenge from a few years back.

When the FF came out I thought they ugly and didn't understand them. But now after the GT4 Lusso came out I got a new respect for the FF and now I absolutely love them. Especially if it has the V12.

The GTC4Lusso is definitely one of the coolest cars ever. I like that the Purosangue is based on it, but if Ferrari were to make a true successor to the FF/Lusso that'd be even better.

A Rwd Lussi is available. Has even more torque than the awd. But that’s cuz they stick a TT V8 into it. Unfortunately it only hits 199 mph
R8s seem to be regarded as a cheap boring super car by car people, but I would absolutely love to have one, they are very reliable for a supercar, I love the looks and it just seems like a great logical daily driver.
That Ferrari was in my hometowns Chevrolet showroom floor for a few weeks before you got it. Never seen the R8 in the dealership after trading 🤔

I agree with Ed that the GTC4Lusso is probably one of the best Ferrari's ever made. The Ferrari Purosangue is basically just a lifted GTC4Lusso. Uglier and worse in every way. And yet the Purosangue will probably sell in droves while the GTC4Lusso was the unloved stepchild of Ferrari's lineup.
Ed loves telling stories, (and he does it well), and he loves driving stories.
If he hadn't got into cars, he would make a great novelist. Although he should write stream of conscious into a recorded.

The GTC4Lusso is my favorite Ferrari they've ever made. I'm not much of a Ferrari guy, but that car is my exception.
Ferrari FF and GTC4 are fantastic cars. An unbelievable combination of talents. Try it out and you will be impressed.

Have a car question...this feels like the right place
I recently came into a large windfall about $600,000.
I'm definitely going to invest $400,000 into the stock market and so that leaves me with about $200k for a car.
I'm thinking of getting an Aventador or Huracan but I was curious if I should lease or buy. I know some exotics do appreciate in value but not sure if these are them.
I'd be daily driving the car with about 8000 miles a year.
