Wow just found this. I read all his books when I was going through my incest recovery after seeing his PBS series back in 1989 and 1990. He blew my mind with all the knowledge that changed my life forever after reading my first Bradshaw Book ON THE FAMILY. I went no contact over 25 years ago from my family of origin. I CANT THANK THIS MAN ENOUGH. I thank PBS ALSO FOR PUTTING HIS SERIES ON. I never missed one episode. Thank u so much for this. I subbed immediately today. PBS SHOULD BE REPEATING THIS SERIES TODAY. THINGS ARE TERRIBLE TODAY ESPECIALLY WITH ALL THIS SOCIETAL NARCISSISM THAT IS RAMPANT.

Bradshaw is amazing. His On the Family series saved me during my darkest depression when I became newly sober trying to understand my family of origin generational trauma.

Only 17 percent of the 50 percent that are still married are happy. Wow how revealing. I suspected as much. I love this man. He helped me more than anyone ever in my recovery process.

In love only lasts 18 months. They are drunk. The “in love always leaves”. It is supposed to change to loving.

Funny thing happened to me after going through some of Bradshaw's old videos I rented. I set out to do inner child work after my divorce from a very abusive & dangerous husband & so I called up a woman psychiatrist, a Dr Sidu, I believe her name was, asking her receptionist if she did "Inner Child Work". The receptionist told me she's the best & knows about and is up-to-date on everything. Well when I got to my 1st appointment, which turned out to be a disaster, so it was also my last appointment, she did not allow me to talk , but instead quizzed me on crazy questions like: do you ever hear voices or see things that aren't really there, to which I replied, "No, do you?" & questions that had nothing to do with the questions I was interviewing her about. Turns out she knew nothing about Psychology, Bradshaw or Inner Child Work at all, but was going through a check list of mental illnesses from the DSM Book. She asked me if I was afraid of my husband & I told her I had purchased a hand gun, registered it & had taken all the necessary CORE courses, plus I had also taken self-defence training at night school & kept a guard dog for personal protection, so no, not really, since I felt I was well prepared for any emergency should anything happen. I terminated the appointment after 15 minutes, telling her she was NOT what I was looking for & that I had made a BIG mistake even making an appointment with her, but added that I admired the fact that being a minority & a women, she had reached the top of her professional field. Turns out, she felt I had insulted her & told me if I did not make a second appointment with her, then she'd be forced to do something I wouldn't like.
Sure enough, that very same day the cops were at my door & seized my registered hand gun. Now I do not know what she told the police, but whatever it was, it was out of spite & vindictiveness. Moral of story & learning lesson: Never see a Psychiatrist because they are only trained to diagnose & treat mental illness. Instead go to a Psychologist!!! I cannot stress this enough! I had to learn this the hard way.

religious addiction is very danger, anytime someone tries to step between myself and my expanded consciousness..at the same time, without churches, people would have starved for thousands years, however, I have developed the energy to feel and think for myself. the law is outside of morality-often majority rules or fascist dictator etc., religion bullying dogma, df

There's a huge difference between religion & spirituality. Just as there's a huge difference between Christianity & Churchianity. One group "talks the talk" whilst the other group "walks the walk".
