I absolutely loved exploring Romania. I was last there in 2004 when there were very few roads and very few vehicles. I did a bit of the trans alpina by car which was awesome by bike it must be awesome. Romania is a hidden gem.
many things changed since 2004.
That road looks like it would be absolutely amazing in the dry. Feel for all of you who've travelled so far when the weather isn't with you.
Poor TMF..... he might make it that far if there are enough 4 star hotels on route
Pity, the wet conditions. Done that transalpina, and it is so much more fun, in the dry. You are spot on about Romania, a motorbike paradise, whatever bike you ride.
You REALLY have to do this again hoping for sunny weather cause it's an incredible experience.
Awesome video and Romania is awesome. Loads of mountains and twisties. Transalpina and Transfagarasan both awesome to ride on, awesome views and nice people.
Well that road looked amazing, even with the mist. Thanks for taking us along!
Shame about the weather, have to agree with Martin's comment, going to have to go back and do it again in the dry. Hopefully one day I can set aside some time and money to experience it myself.
Ohh goodie..adventure time👌👍😁💚
Absolutely love the fact it’s peeing down and you’re still loving it! 👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻😉
Wowzers. Cracking roads, shame the weather wasn't on your side so we could see the scenery too. Looking forward to the next one.
Had a very similar experience in France near Carcassonne. Beautiful views apparently. At 20mph we should have been going slowly enough to take them in, but with visibility at about 20m we could barely see the road ahead. Great video. Keep them coming.
Looked like fun and had some offroad sections. Too bad about the rain. 😎👍🍻
Congrats for the video!
I'm from Cluj, and loved to see a different riding experience for the same tour i did a few weeks ago🤘
Best regards from Transylvania!
Love watching the trip vids, Looks great apart from the rain but like you say, there's nothing you can do about it but crack on! It just means you have to go back and do it again in the dry 😁
Ha Ha, ah ok then, if I must!
Cheers bud 👍
Awesome looking roads. Lucky you & Martin were on the best bike in the world for the rough bits 😉
Great video Bruce, thanks for sharing this with us. I remember when you first went self employed and decided to try and make it work being a full time RUclipsr. Id love to see another video with an update on how the business side of things are going and how we can help you
That's not fog... you were with your head in the clouds. The highest altitude is about 2300 m... which I think (not sure) it si even higher than Transfagarasan. I have done this trip last year coming from south, Transalpina, stop-over in Sibiu and returned home by Transfagarasan. Best trip ever.
Brilliant again mate not tried that one yet but it’s on my hit list, shame about the fog and rain ,,,,,,,just have to do it again lol 😂👍
Thanks for helping me decide on my next bike.
Changing batteries when you have the media mod is such an incredible pain in the ass, good on ya for putting up with that without complaining.
Cracking vid, really captured the days riding. got to go back do it again, but hopefully in the dry.
Love it! Keep em coming cheers 😁
Good one 👍🇮🇲
Awesome vid Bruce, nice mix of riding, music and commentary. Can see the care and effort you put into the vid 👍
Awesome ! cheers Bruce. shame about the fog !
Love it !!!! 👍🐻
Great video Bruce, ive never considered Romania……looks like i need to, those roads are amazing. You have a great riding riding possi too. Kind regards mate.
i can confirm the views are pretty special from the transalpina. just wetted my apetite for a return visit 👍
Saludos Amigo BRUCE!!! Muy Guapo el vídeo 💪💪💪
Been waiting for days for this video loving the scenery and the commentary hopefully there's more coming,
Not so sure about the weather and fog ,
Snow in the alpine, the road is awesome.
Fantastic video
Another good 1 Bruce
Thanks Lyn 👍
Look's fantastic, just wished weather was better. The views would have been amazing I guess.
Cheers 🍻,,ride safe and waiting for drakula
Have to say, major shame about the weather on the mountain, amazing edit as usual man :)
The writer wrote Dracula in uk, witby he was taken a break and he seen the gothic Witby cathedral. He never visited Transilvania or the castle when he wrote the Dracula
great trip, obviously.
I'm very interested in the tyres your on, they obviously work in the wet and the cold, so they would be good to mount on my XR for winter commute in Belgium.
They’re Dunlop Meridian’s👍
Most of those road surfaces look better than get in the UK !!
👍 Great video, looking forward to the rest of the series.
Do you still run the Chicken Strips Tours?
Cheers Tic, aye I’m away on one now actually.
I’ll have the 2023 tour calendar ready around the end of October 👍
Such a cool trip. Just a question though: if you’re only staying on the asphalt, why the ADV helmet? With a normal helmet you could have a clear visor and then a flip down tinted visor on the outside or inside? Seems like you needed it.
I like the look of the peaked lid, plus it’s very handy for keeping sun out your eyes at times.
I’ve got a few other ‘normal’ lids but never really wear them now
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Great video as always . Was wondering how many miles have you done on your GS
Cheers Andy, she’s at around 37k miles at the mo I think
@@teapotone cheers for reply , so they are a great work horse 🐎 👍
Hi there, I'm really enjoying your touring vids. Have you done a video on how you have mounted your nav? Is that the BMW phone mount that fits their unit?
No it’s just a cheap one from Amazon, been using it about 3yrs now
amzn.to/3PDbeXS
@@teapotone thank you. It looks like the new BMW one that charges the phone
👍
it looks like your your using your phone for directions, what program are you using if you don't mind me asking......."it's clearing up" lol famous last words lol
what case are you using sir? its water proof!amazing
It’s one off eBay, wireless charging and even has a usb port. Fits most phones and yes it’s waterproof - as in it’s unaffected by rain etc.
Most modern smartphones are waterproof anyway.

Cracking vid! How are you waterproofing your gopro when using mics? You still using the wax earplug trick? Keep up the great vids
Yes bud, the mouldable putty seems to do the job in all but the heaviest of rain storms
@@teapotone nice one pal. Really enjoy your vids. Nicely narrated, bit of music and Scottish humor 👌🏻 canna beat it min.
@@teapotone think your getting spammed pal? Seen this 'win a prize' on other channels 😪
Aye sorry about that, been loads of comments today about it 🤦♂️
I’m reporting every one I find, cheers for letting me know 👍
@@teapotone no need to apologise! I feel sorry for you and others this happens to. Its a pain in the hoop! I sometimes get really dodgy comments that I have to report and delete straight away.
Anyways keep up the great content and ride safe 😎🏍
Was there a Dicky Vegas sticker on there? 😀😀

Any security concerns whilst in Romania?
None. Is a very safe country.
Shame about the weather :(
Looks like a miserable trip, lesson learned avoid off season
Was loads of fun despite the weather 👍
Hey nice video , what helmet are you using ? Looks really cool
Cheers, it’s the Shoei Hornet ADV
