@@GxAce Dude I'm serious. I only shoot with Fujifilm, and for the longest time I had massive Full frame envy, but honestly watching these videos makes me forget about it entirely. Every time I've picked up a Sony Alpha I just cant get over how uninspiring they feel and handle. Fuji is magical.
I couldn’t agree with this comment anymore. It’s so good, that I stopped my wife’s movie on the TV set so I could pull up your video & show her how insanely good your videos are. Keep going. Seriously, you inspire people like me to REEEAAALLY step up the production quality of my own channel🖤
I just watched like 3 of your vids at work. and now I want to watch them at home on my tv in my living room. they're like movies man. I gotta watch them on the couch.
This was one of the most beautiful, well edited and well presented videos I've seen in a while. The perfect usage of music made me even want to watch the credits. Thank you for providing such a gorgeous and well made piece of work for the world to be able to watch for free. You have most definitely earned my subscription and others' too.
This video is insane. The visuals and audio match perfectly. I just ordered today a 35 mm Lens for my X-E4. Its a bit weird I own like every focal length available as a prime except 35mm. This inspired me to pick my xe-4 and the 35mm on friday when its arriving up and just go with one camera and lens out again.
Thank you! I was hoping the pace for this one wasnt too quick, with all the different music changes. Nice! I'd love to hear how you end up liking that combo!
Fantastic video! I discovered your channel around the time your last video came up and I binged every video in like a week. What a happy surprise it was to see a new upload today!
Your videos are truly the best out there when it comes to camera reviews. It is crazy how little views you get compared to the competition you outshine greatly. Can't wait for when you review the X-H2S

I'm grateful for stumbling upon your channel a while back and I hope my Patreon-support can help enable you to do what you love. By the looks of it, more people have joined your Patreon already. Thanks again, and enjoy your day!
The production quality and style of your videos is so bloody great. I used to have a canon years ago and fell into a boring job and never had time for photography. You’ve reignited my interest and convinced me to get myself a Fuji x100v (if I can find one!). Thank you!

Another amazing video. I was watching back through your other videos just a few days ago hoping there would be another soon. 👍🏻 Keep up the great work, your talent, eye and efforts do not unnoticed!
All of these reasons are why I ended up buying the xe4 just over a year ago. Still haven't picked up a 35mm lens as I have not made a decision on which one to buy yet. But the 27mm and 18mm f2 fit this camera in an amazing way
just want to say, this has immediately become my favorite photography channel. i LOVE anything that has to do with AI/Sci-Fi for example Ex Machina, Interstellar, Blade Runner etc, and i believe you are the first one that (i’ve seen) incorporate that into camera reviews on RUclips, ever! I am speechless at the cinematography of your videos. Wow.
Welcome back! An other master piece of a review! I sold my 35mm f1.4 for the 33mm f.1.4 and sometimes wished I kept both! Other than missing a bit of character the 33 is an amazing lens as well
Such a huge fan of your content. Definitely going to sign up for Patreon. Hoping for some behind the scenes content :D. Would love to learn how you light your b-roll and your grading process. Great stuff!
Thank you so much for your Patreon support Matthew! It seriously means a lot! I have a lot of plans for behind the seems stuff and will definitely be going over color grading too!
I've been a huge fan of yours for years and am particularly fond of how your props have developed over time. They have a particular form and function that regardless of the tone the video has, seem to embody the fun of creation. The "because I can" and "wouldn't it be cool if" that I crave and a lot of us drool over. I love that you use sound processing as a sort of prop, as it accompanies the headset. This may be a reach, but it reminds me a ton of the way voice processing is used in the game Control to accompany The Board. That plus the imposing brutalism architecture in that game gives me GxAce vibes. Thank you for this piece.
Thank you so much for this thoughtful comment! I would say the spirit and direction of my channel is perfectly summed up by the phrases "because I can' and "wouldn't it be cool if" hahaha. 100%. I was trying to strike a good balance with that sound effect, which I first used in the glimmer glass video. A lot of people found it annoying there, but I made it a bit more sparse in this video. The effect wasn't inspired by Control, but I just looked it up and it is a very cool sound effect. Its actually made in the same way the radio communications in the OG star wars movies were made, with a ring modulator. I definitely want to try that game out now. Thanks again!
I started out with the X-E2s when I came to Fujifilm, and I have really been waiting for the perfect upgrade to it for about half a decade. Currently, my everyday driver is the Fujifilm X70, because compact form factor and flip-up waist-level LCD shooting is a big deal to me. I really only need ISO, WB, AF-L ,and Q buttons, so hopefully I can still do all that without swiping anything. I think your point about it being a 50 eq. X100V goes two ways also, because I'd get it just to go wider, like putting the Viltrox 13f1.4, the Sigma 16f1.4, or the new 18f1.4 on it.
Absolutely! I actually had a section on the 18mm lens but didn't have enough footage to really make the section interesting so I cut it. Thanks for watching!

Just wanted to echo the support that others have been showing. I look forward to every upload from you. The production along with valuable insight and stunning images makes for some of the best content I’ve seen here on RUclips. I’ll be checking out the Patreon later today after work. I’ve been rocking a similar (but slightly larger) setup recently in the X-Pro3 and 33mm f1.4 and have absolutely loved it. Looking forward to your next upload.
Thank you so much for the super kind words and support, Trevor, it means a lot. I appreciate you taking a look at the Patreon too! Its obviously very new but I hope it can be a really cool place for cool folks to gather. Have fun with your X-Pro3 and take care!
As always, your production values are outstanding. I think that the XE-3 with the 35mm would make a cheaper entry in, or even the XE-2 or 2s if you don't want touch or tilt screen. Personally I use the 18mm f2 or 35mm f2 XC paired with either the XM-1 (small and light with flip screen), or the XE-1 (small, light and EVF).
Thanks, John! Absolutely. I definitely forgot to mention like I did in my x100v video that even getting the older ones is still a good idea. I do like how adjustable the film sims are on the newest line of Fuji's though and that does help some people who aren't confident with editing.
X-E3 is great! Was disappointed that Fujifilm removed the AF-S/C/M switch on the front of the X-E4, as I use that a ton, but I imagine there are other ways to configure the X-E4. I like that I can roll with X-E3 w/ the 35mm 1.4 which is quite compact. I have a wood grip and usually use larger lens on it including 70-300, Kamlan 50mm F1.1 II, 16 1.4 and soon a Samyang 200mm F2. For fun, day outings, I might pair it with a Fujifilm X20 or just use the X20 on its own.
Became a proud owner of an X-E3 Just last week and I literally got rid of all my Sony gear. Until I took my very first shot with the X-E3 I had no idea fuji cameras = Magic! I take it with me everywhere. I was getting bored with the way my photos looked from my A6000 and I no longer had any interest in spending hours editing raw files. I feel like X=E3 Solved all the gripes I had with the Sony and I'll never be going back to them again!
Yeah, same for me. I am all fuji, but got an RX100VI and despite the size, specifications and capabilities, I am never inspired to use it . But that´s my dream an RX100 made by FUJI
I never comment on RUclips but just want to say: Damn, such a slick style you developed. The 'set' design , the 'portrait' shot, the editing, sound design. Even sick VFX now? Wow. There's nothing like it. I'm a huge fan. Thanks so much for this hard work!
Every vid is a highlight dude! Such a vibe. Your photos are super nice, any insight into how you set up your simulations? I’m struggling to find something I like…
Oh wow. I just recently picked up an XE-4. Somehow missed this particular video. But I've been a Pen FT shooter for over a decade and what led me to the XE-4 was in part looking for a true digital equivalent. I adapted my lenses to it and then I realized gxace did a video saying as much. Great analysis. I do see a lot of similarities in the cameras. The look of the shots you posted with the 38mm look just like a lot of my Pen FT work. Fantastic stuff. Now we just need someone to make a camera that has the sensor rotated the "wrong" way like the Pen F so that holding the camera horizontally takes vertical photos.
Your content is unlike anything else on RUclips. Words can't describe how excited I was when I found this video in my subscriptions box. I use an X-S10 for work and have been looking into a Fuji system for personal use, this video has been a real inspiration toward that. Beautiful work here. I look forward to your next piece of content.
To me X-E4 looks like it’s shaped similar to Minolta CLE. Previous X-E models were not that squared-off, I think they’re more in line with Pen-F subtle curves
I love your content, man. But I have to offer a major correction. The XE4 isn't an X100v with an interchangeable lens. The X100v is fully weather resistant except for the lens. When a lens filter is applied to the lens on the X100v, it becomes fully weather resistant. The XE4 has no weather resistance. Plus there's the optical viewfinder and leaf shutter.

Love your videos a lot! I bet you are aiming for the Hollywood! and I agree with you. I would like to have the X100V because it looks very good, but I hate 23mm, that's why I bought XPro2 + 35mm f2. But still can't get my eyes off the X100V! Such a beautiful camera
I think I might have peed in my pants. You've outdone yourself. Hi five. I will patreate! I think I made a mistake last week when I bought a sony a6600 over a xe4. It's not that I don't have any fujis! I guess I was looking for a robot camera. I succeeded in that!
Sorry about your pants. :( Thank you so much for the kind words, support and loss of bladder control though! All cameras are cool and I want to own every one of them so don't sweat it.
Oh, Cool! Yeah, seriously. I only realized how cool they would be on the Fuji a few years ago and have been meaning to make something talking about them.
Amazing video as always. I would even recommend the 7artisans 35mm f0.95mm on the X-E4. I had a similar setup on the X-E3 with the Mitakon 35mm and it was such a fun and pleasant, almost analog experience.
Thanks so much! It’s real! I designed, 3D printed, painted and wired it for electronics! I have a bit blog post about how I made it over at patreon.com/gxace :)
I think the best part about your videos man is how you share your "best practices" and "coolest lenses" and all that. You're a gatekeeper of nothing and you just want to share the cool stuff *you're* doing and have your audience give it a shot. That's so awesome. I know you enjoy filming/editing this stuff but you are such an advocate for Fujifilm and you do it in such an artful and tasteful way. I comment every video of yours the same thing but you truly are doing unbelievable work here for a brand we all love so much. Thanks dude. Never stop.
That’s so awesome to hear, thanks Dylan. Yeah I think what separates me from other reviewers is I just genuinely love cameras hahah. It doesn’t really matter the brand to me at all, cameras are just cool and fun to play with and I get excited to try new things and see what I can do with them. Thanks so much for the awesome comment and for watching!
@@GxAce My pleasure casey. Well said! Yes, your love is so clear and obvious. Thanks for sharing what works for you with others. I've learned so much from your photography style!!
I think the biggest difference with the x100 series is the leaf shutter vs the focal plane one. Excelent video !!! Always expecting your new releases!!!
Just to say thank you once again for the level of output on your videos. You are covering a lot of ground alone or as a small team (Art Design, Props, Writing, Photography & Video capture, Editing, Grading, Motion Graphics, VFXs, just to list some) Disregarding how well received your content is by your followers, I would still like for you to achieve the level of recognition you deserve. Fuji digital user since the X-E1 and a proud owner of a Fujifilm TX-1 (perhaps my most niche/unpractical, yet favourite camera). Needless to say I like their work... or even more accurate, I enjoy seeing a company of that scale in the camera space still taking some risks. E.G, I could not justify the X-Pro3 for me, but man... I was so happy it was made! Keep up the incredible work! And thanks for the gesture of adding us in the credits... I am that Sebastian dude you listed there :)
Thank you so much for this comment. I have a few friends who lend a hand here and there but for the most part its just me making these videos, so to get comments like these really feel good! Absolutely! I feel the same way about Fuji, they have made some super interesting products that were sorta out there, and I hope they continue! Seriously, thank you so much for your support and joining the Patreon, Sebastian.
@@GxAce you’re welcome. Truly well deserved! and congrats as well to everyone offering you a hand. Now, let’s all light a candle and pray for a digital evolution of the TX/Xpan series, an awesome X-pro4, and a new rangefinder style GFX 🤣
Dammit, what a click bait😂 After Ricoh's move with 40mm eqiv. lens in GRIIIx who knows? Maybe Fuji can make something alike, e.g. 40-50 eqiv. X100 cam👍
Your X pro 3 video convinced me to take the jump on that camera. Glad you’re still out here on these highly produced reviews with this wild aesthetic and style. You and Mattias Burling are hands down the best photography creators around.
I'm tempted to become a Patreon supporter but first I need assurances that I won't be absorbed into a machine-cult and have dangerous cybernetic alterations done to my body. If you can assure me on that point, I think I'd be happy to chip in to help support such compelling videos and get some nice prints as a reward, funds permitting!
Hahahah. Well I’m gonna have to apologize because that’s something I cannot promise, but if you don’t mind slowly losing your humanity the Patreon community is growing decently now and you can talk to others in the community about your newfound cyborg problems ;).
Can you please let me know the track that starts at 3:06? I am guessing it's from musicbed but I would love a title. Thanks in advance, amazing video btw
Was really considering the XPAN as someone was selling it used in neat and working condition for around three and a half thousand, but will now go for the X-E4 with the Zeiss 1.8/32 as my first real camera that is not just a smartphone. Thanks for the wonderfull photos, recommendations and very high standard and quality of videos. Life is too short to not get into new intruiging hobbies and just explore the world. Thanks Gx!
Thanks! I love making these props and trying to figure out cool ways to use new ones. I actually just released a video on my patreon about how I filmed that section!
Patreon is definitely something I'm trying to figure out by the seat of my pants. That may be changing here soon. Feel free to check back if you have any interest!
Another incredible video! As someone who has the x100v with both the TCL & WCL, I would still love to have the xe4 so I could use all of my lenses. I have the xt3, and the xpro1. I absolutely love the XP1, but I don’t love the focus peaking…or lack there of!
I have the XE2s with lots of non Fuji adapted manual lenses using M42 and Nikon F focal reducers. My favourite combo is with an elderly Nikkor 55mm f3.5 macro lens, it looks etched, with beautiful colour. I like the XE2s so much, I bought another one. If I bought another XE, it would be the XE4, principally for the seven exposure auto bracket setting.
The Bladerunner dystopian vibes and sounds are irresistible. Except for the production that is constantly praised (rightfully so), the soundtrack/music in every video is superb.
Man first you got me to get an anamorphic lens and glimmerglass, and now I gotta get an X-E4 with the 35mm 1.4 for that classic Gx look 🤣. Im absolutely gonna rock it with the rectangular lens hood as well, gonna make it my EDC camera probably
I had the 35mm 1.4 and it is sick. But it's a little big, so I ended up going with the 27mm for ultimate portability and the 50mm f2 for DoF / portraits. I think it's a great combo. But the 35mm is sick.
@@GxAce Yeah, its not the best, but still good. It's comparable to the 'pancake 20mm' on the M43 system. This is just my family snapshot camera, so hard to justify so many similar lengths. I'm going for a small set up. The 35mm is the jam though, no doubt.
Another great video! I love how a RUclips videos made by you are more cinematic than most of today movies. Been following you since your X-T3 review and you never disappointed me with your content! Also your photos are incredible!
Have to say the XE series feels so underrated. I got my XE3 in 2020 with a 23mm f2 and absolutely love it, I feel like I don't need anymore gear for my personal life. The image quality is stunning, I cannot put my finger on what makes it so gorgeous.

I’m struggling to find something I like…
Thanks so much, Matt! I believe I was using a modified version of the Portra 800 recipe on the fujixweekly app!
@@GxAce 🙏 Thanks brother!
Love what you make, welcome back!
Thank you! 😊 Its good to be back!
This guy trapped in Matrix world and use RUclips platforms as the only way to communicate with people on earth

Superb video quality. Thanks
Thank YOU!
Well, looks like I need to buy another camera...
hahahahahah. I'm so sorry.
Holly shit dude your videos are totally insane. I can't believe you're doing camera reviews.
Bravo dude, bravo.
Thats so wonderful to hear! Thank you so much! I will have some new content out much sooner than previously!
I’ve been waiting for a new video! Was looking at Fujifilm videos last night wondering where you’ve been lol 🙌🏽
Hope you enjoyed it! More to come soon!
Always enjoy your content, your cinematography and stills always tell they’re own story!
Finally some love for Pen-F! They’re nothing alike with X-E4 though ahah
Looks pretty similar tho ;)
To me X-E4 looks like it’s shaped similar to Minolta CLE. Previous X-E models were not that squared-off, I think they’re more in line with Pen-F subtle curves
I love your content, man. But I have to offer a major correction. The XE4 isn't an X100v with an interchangeable lens. The X100v is fully weather resistant except for the lens. When a lens filter is applied to the lens on the X100v, it becomes fully weather resistant. The XE4 has no weather resistance. Plus there's the optical viewfinder and leaf shutter.
Thanks, Chris! Fair enough. I have had the og x100 for over ten years now so I keep forgetting that the V has weather sealing haha. Good point though!
It's always an occasion when GxAce uploads!
or "GxAce always uploads occasionally" hahahah. Thanks for watching!
holy fuck my dude. what a vid. keep up the great work. youre only getting better with each one. thank you for not being just another "heyitsyaboy"
Love your style bro.
Thank you!

Ufff. Amazing video. Totally insane what you make...
Glad you like my flavor of weird. :). Thanks!
I am huge fan of your videos!!
All cameras are cool and I want to own every one of them so don't sweat it.
holy crap this is next level stuff, appreciate every effort you put into this video dude!!
Thanks so much! I’m glad you like it!
I use my Pen F lenses on an xt1 I picked up cheap, but I am surprise that it's not talked about more in the Fuji world. A perfect match.
That’s a fantastic lens to use with this as well! Thanks for watching!
I’m at the point where I will religiously purchase every x100 that releases
I think this might be your best one yet
It’s funny because it never feels that way while editing haha. Thanks!!
this guy lives in the future and has scheduled uploads for the past
It honestly gets really confusing.
Amazing Video quality!!! you are the best and that helmet... is absolutely amazing, is a CGI, 3D or is real?
Absolutely! Thanks!! The wait wont be that long again for a new video!
Just found your channel from a friend. What a unique style you have, brotha. Like and subscribed 🤙🏼
Welcome aboard! Thank you!
I enjoy our videos a lot, it´s almost like watching a short film... a good one. Love your cinematography and sound design, keep it up.
Thanks!! These videos are my excuse to flex my film making muscles, even if only a little bit.
@@GxAce Keep flexing man. Fuji needs to send you some love and give you some gear, a mean, you are good at selling their stuff...
Can you please let me know the track that starts at 3:06? I am guessing it's from musicbed but I would love a title. Thanks in advance, amazing video btw
gosh the sound design and production quality!
the intro gave me goosebumps!
Thanks Gx!
oh my god the cinematography in this video is so stunning! you are underrated, your videos deserve much more praise, thank you for making them!
Thank you so much my friend!
Amazing video. This is the one I will send to Leica and full frame snobs.
Hahah. Do it! Even though I also own three leicas :(. But I’m no snob when it comes to cameras. I just like all cameras haha

@@GxAce Loved it.
5:50 your use of props is INSANE. Very creative! I'd enjoy a video just on your creation of them.
Thanks! I love making these props and trying to figure out cool ways to use new ones. I actually just released a video on my patreon about how I filmed that section!
I have an XT3 and XT20, I assume the vintage Olympus pen-f lenses will work the same in those bodies too?
Absolutely!
incredible production! please make a video on your grading process or if you have any tips grading flog in davinci😭
A bit tough, that the cheapest patreon tier does not even give access to the feed.
Patreon is definitely something I'm trying to figure out by the seat of my pants. That may be changing here soon. Feel free to check back if you have any interest!
Your content is amazing btw would u desire to try BMPCC 6k
Thank you!! I’d love to play around with one for sure, but I’m not a big fan of EF mount as it’s a little limiting.
Another incredible video! As someone who has the x100v with both the TCL & WCL, I would still love to have the xe4 so I could use all of my lenses. I have the xt3, and the xpro1. I absolutely love the XP1, but I don’t love the focus peaking…or lack there of!
Thank you! Yeah the converters are cool but a bit on the bulky side. I really want to play with an xpro 1 too.
Incredible video, if you don’t mind what are your jpeg settings? I need that simulation you’re using 🥶
Nobody does it like GXAce. Just a different level.
Thanks so much my friend!
"YESSS .. HAHAHA....YESSSSSS!" * me peering at my screen in a shirt that reads "sickos".
hahahahah
amazing did you actually record that hologram with a spinning LED floating wand/screen?
Thanks!! Yup! I have a behind the scenes video of how I did it on my Patreon :)
Your robot helmet thing is a little crazy. Not going to lie. Lol
You are correct. ;)
Amazing as always. My setup has been trimmed down to an xe3 and xc35mm f2.
Very nice! Thanks for watching my friend!
Your style talking about the 'chip crisis of the early 2020s' - so dystopian!
So happy & excited about the new video, always so lovely!
Yay! Thank you! Sorry for the wait!
Jumping on that Patreon. Nobody inspires me to take pride in and shoot more on my Fuji’s than Casey
Phenomenal work as always man, easily my favourite RUclipsr.
Appreciate that, seriously. Thanks again for watching my friend!
when I tried the early Fuji x cameras the control and menus feel laggy. Is it still the case now?
Not sure! Didn’t seem laggy to me. I also don’t use the touch controls ever so many that’s it?
The Bladerunner dystopian vibes and sounds are irresistible. Except for the production that is constantly praised (rightfully so), the soundtrack/music in every video is superb.
That cyborg shit - has to go. But that’s just me.
does anyone else dim the lights and grab popcorn when a new GxAce video drops????
I appreciate it! It’s how they are meant to be watched ;)
Man first you got me to get an anamorphic lens and glimmerglass, and now I gotta get an X-E4 with the 35mm 1.4 for that classic Gx look 🤣. Im absolutely gonna rock it with the rectangular lens hood as well, gonna make it my EDC camera probably
Amazing video, as always! I went with a X-T20 at the time I changed cameras but the next time I do it I'll go with an E series.
Thanks for watching! Yeah like I said, Fuji cameras are basically all the same, it just comes down to what shape do you like!
I had the 35mm 1.4 and it is sick. But it's a little big, so I ended up going with the 27mm for ultimate portability and the 50mm f2 for DoF / portraits. I think it's a great combo. But the 35mm is sick.
Yeah if that 27mm was a faster lens it would totally be my favorite too! 2.8 is just a bit slow for me on APSC
Hahaha, thats quite the compliment. Thanks for the support for all these years my friend! More videos to come!
Have to say the XE series feels so underrated. I got my XE3 in 2020 with a 23mm f2 and absolutely love it, I feel like I don't need anymore gear for my personal life. The image quality is stunning, I cannot put my finger on what makes it so gorgeous.
I have the exact same setup and it is absolutely amazing and versatile. I always have my camera on me since it is so small.
