While many camera channels focus on talking specifics, you always show how to get the best out of every camera and let the images speak for themselves man. The sheer creativity that goes into each of these videos is unrivaled and a real source of inspiration. Thank you for going the extra mile in every amazing video you produce.
As for the X100V it made me rediscover my love of photography and I couldn’t be more excited for its successor and its potential for video.

You so perfectly encapsulate the idea of why this camera and a variety of other photo/video trends have their moment. At some point, even picking up an R5, a9iii, FX3, Z8, any of the best cameras *ever made* becomes work. You might love your work, I do, but many didn’t start this path to have a job. They started because they fell in love with making images and the world said the only way you get to do this all the time is if you make money with it. Using old manual lenses, cameras with different shooting styles, 35mm film, older “worse” sensors, or little Fuji cameras with an optical viewfinder and a fixed lens tricks your brain out of the camera being work, and lets you fall in love all over again. It keeps the spark alive!
If you have fun without an expensive new camera, more power to ya. If you’re looking for it but can’t afford a $1600 cam, try some of the other things I said. If you don’t think it should be any fun, leave me alone.

The x100VI can output 16bit tiffs as RAW conversion files. That’s big for me as I use the fuji x RAW software to output their film sims faithfully, usually with any exposure and WB adjustments or corrections. Then I use LR to mask and create grads. Now I can do that on converted Tiffs instead of jpgs!

      @turnipbeybladespinner7836 7 месяцев назад +8

well one's a true rangefinder camera, full frame, actual weather sealing, a German product made in Germany, while the other is an affordable rangefinder-styled camera with great film recipes. both are different beasts altogether, basically comparing apples to oranges and i like both of them (still dont have the money to own any lmao).

    • @Ruylopez778

One is a mechanical rangefinder with interchangeable lenses, and full frame, and a sensor designed and optimised for B&W, and the other is not, and never will be. Leicas are way overpriced, but so niche that making them cheaper would sell significantly more. Since they won't be able to sell 300k units, the development and tooling costs per unit are high. Additionally, if you're buying a digital Leica, you probably already have lenses and bodies, or just enjoy the form factor and lack of gimmicks.

YES! It's wild that Fuji hasn't seen and taken advantage of the opportunities when it comes to simulation building by users - they should focus on this, it should be part of the app, it should be something there are specific interfaces for, it should be all about building simulations, LUTs, and sharing them, remixing them, saving and transferring them between cameras, etc. It's the logical progression of what they did when they started this, but haven't followed through on despite the huge popularity of it and their user's choice to just hack it into existence!

    “LIMITATION” is a gift. ❤
Most don’t understand and will never understand that but you do…
    BTW Beautiful work here…
Unless I’m missing something let me ask you if I understand.
So, this whole thing with you as a half human, half machine (cyborg) thing is partly because of your disability?
I’m all about story and back story and although the images and story world is amazing I didn’t get the why…
    I couldn’t answer all the questions…
Your images are so beautiful but you can’t even bend your fingers!
Like all super hero’s who in their childhood have to adapt, you’ve adapted to be a master of your craft beyond the limitations of your body, and you did it without complaining or revealing, you did it out of necessity, you do it because you had to…❤
That is my interpretation and im sure im not spot on but we all have limitations but what you described would take photography off the menu for most but not you, instead you go become a hard working, creative, and proper master!
    You are a true superhero.❤

Stoked to hear Makeup and Vanity Set as part of the score. Stellar video as always. You're really cranking these out now, without diminished quality.

I bought the x100 when it first came out and it's perhaps the only digital camera I've ever had that I miss the *experience* of shooting with. In moving to interchangeable lens Fujis after a couple of years and selling the X100, I kept finding myself longing for the feel of shooting with the X100, even years later. Nothing else ever felt as compelling to shoot with, for me personally and my style. The x100VI might be enough to get me to sell my X-T4 and lenses to go back to the x100 line.

YES, every clicks on the Fujifilm camera with the film simulation is what keeps me going for the next shot, it drives the creativity and it's a lot of fun.
x100vi seems like a spec bump with complete film sims and that's when the video would end but you went ahead and made a 12 minutes long video! Packed with more "tech sets" and please, more of it!

This is your pinnacle of creation! Phenomenal.. [insert mic drop .gif here] wow GX you need to win something for this... I'm sure the fuji execs drooled 🤤 over their keyboards and phones after watching this! I am running out of adjectives for your videos... I'll just SHTFU and watch this again... yup, it's that good.

I've been considering buying a x100 because of it's simplicity and limitations. I own and have used many "professional" cameras, but lately I've been wanting to keep it simple again. A good camera and a good lens. I think I'll be purchasing this camera soon.

With modern noise reduction tools I really see this segment of cameras becoming even more versatile than ever. I sold my APS-C mirrorless to move to full frame which I'm now using since 2020. But when I look at the images my signifficant other got out of her MFT camera you realize what potential lies in modern, high resolution APS-C cameras.
