      OH the irony. Cybertruck is purposely design to be a mass produced real truck for the roads. This is an expensive Halo car in very limited production. It has a freaking huge LOW DENSITY 200kwh battery. I'm surprised they even built ONE. Sorry these trucks do not compete. They each have their own niche.

      Not sure where the 75 mile rumor comes from. But that is simply not plausible. Eating 200kwh in 75 mile is the same as a Class 8 Semi Truck. FYI that is 2666wh per mile. Realistically quite horrible range is 150 Mile, half the consumption rate.

      @@jasonflaty WTF What a bunch of pointless trash. It's still quite bad the safest rate you could probably drain the Hummer EV is 150 Miles. 150 Miles out of 200kwh is still quite horrible but atleast usable for towing things across town. This is not just math but a safety rate you can drain the battery. Being "guys that actually buy trucks" is NOT RELEVANT. You have no experience or even basic knowledge how to estimate these ranges. "Watts to Freedom"? If thats not something an American would screech in pride I don't know what is. 😶 Its cool but who's going to offroad a 100k+ usd vehicle? All they made with the vehicle is another H2 that has more in comon with an Avalanche than it a Hummer that rappers will put 35 inch rims on, nevermind 35" tires, to go screeching down tarmac not logging roads.
    I was hoping GM would be the one to at least offer an affordable version for the rest of us. Tesla might win the EV truck game not by being first (and defintaly not through styling) but waiting for everyone to bring out their models and then offering a version that undercuts everyone else.
    Also I'm still more excitted for the Rivian given the cool storage options they are offering. As a disabled person I think being able to use the mid cargo area doors as a seat to do things like change your shoes awesome. Nevermind finally having proper storage for personal gear in a truck.

    I don’t believe the technology is there yet to completely do away with combustion engines. Until charge times take as long as it does to stop at gas station to fill a gas tank I believe combustion engines will be the go to. Not saying that something doesn’t need to be done and not saying that this isn’t a neat truck but I can’t jump in this truck and haul me and buddies bikes from Indianapolis to Daytona for bike week and do it straight through. Until then I’m sticking to my Ram 3500 with Cummins that gets 24 mpg unloaded. 🙂

    • @Neojhun
      @Neojhun 3 года назад

      LOL sure you may be some road warrior. Realistically daily driven pickups hardly ever go more than 300 Miles. I bet you that 350 Mile rating is conservative due to the massive battery capacity. It also has 800v charging system which could gain that 300 mile again in 35 minutes. That's 600 Mile per day with a SINGLE Charge session. Sorry you "don't believe" because your assumptions are false and are not based on technical facts.

    • @jasonflaty
      @jasonflaty 3 года назад

      @@Neojhun obviously you didn’t watch the video but since you’re so informed on EV technology how about you go back and watch the video again. 10 minutes for 100 mile range. And that’s probably a level 3 or higher charge. So you tell me how many level 3 charge stations are available throughout the United States?? And since you’re a electrician (what I do for a living in a industrial factory) and you tell me how the grid is going to support all of these charging stations. Not including the ones that are going to be in residential houses.
      If you would have read my comment I said again that I believe that we need to do something. Can’t live without technology advances. That’s my whole career. I live in a farming community and have several friends that are farmers. I can tell you now they are not going to give up their combustion engines for electric. If they had to sit and wait 40 minutes for a complete charge then they wouldn’t make any money. But again you’re the genius here that knows so much about EV. Please make sure you clean up after yourself after you get done writing back because I wouldn’t want your mom to get pissed about how dirty the basement is. 👍🏼😄

    • @Neojhun

      @@jasonflaty WTF that was a bunch of nonsense with no logical coherence. Sure if you live out remote rural area where 350 Miles gets you to the middle of no where do not use BEVs. Vast majority of people DO NOT live in the middle of no where. Waiting 40 Minutes to charge ONCE only happens in very rare occasions when you need to do a road trip. If you need to more than 500 Miles a Day Frequently you have bigger issues and BEVs was never your option. Charging is a NON Issue, for people where 350 Miles is more than enough for vast majority of the time Private Level2 Charging at around 10kw works great. This has very little stress on Grid and does not require massive Generation Upgrades. You fail to understand how TIME! works and that Grid has OFF PEAK hours. 300 Mile plus BEVs do not need to charge during On Peak because vast majority of drivers don't deplete it in one day. You have no basic knowledge of this subject and even devolved into crude personal attacks. Thanks for showing how wrong you are.
