Interesting historical fact......as you can hear in the interview, Mick, Charlie and Ronnie flew to Paris the day after this interview to begin work on their classic "Some Girls" album at EMI Studios. One of the reasons why the album was such a success is that it was the first Stones album in 7 or so years that was recorded in one place with the band constantly around the studio. The reason why some of the prior albums were erratic is that the band would record for 4 days, tour for 2 weeks, record one day, take 9 days off, etc. And all the recording would be in different cities. For SG, the band was committed to stay in Paris until they had their masterpiece. However, the reason why SG was a smash was not because Keith was free from heroin use. He didn't kick his habit until just before the "Some Girls" tour. He did it prior to rehearsals in Woodstock in the spring of 1978. However, this didn't lower his intake of cigarettes, Rebel Yell, Jack Daniels, cocaine, reefer and Lord knows what else.

sheesh, Charlie is wasted! lol
Harp lager ... the cheap git
"Bored You live"...one of their classically crap live albums, that horrible 'hip' Warhol shite cover promissed not much good.,,surenuff ain't no Ya-Yas....Young Ronnie...."pinch me guv"...he must've thought he was still dreaming , joining the band of his dreams...
+PAULLONDEN ...- At LIve 69, the STONES projected Rock´n Roll in a blues scale with a huge Stones sound power! / in a 1972 "Ladys & Gentlemens" - the powerfull guitar slide focus on funky lines.....and also well done at live!! / on 1975 where times was marching on raggae / funkadelic movement...; for the 3 shows at London in "Earls Court", the Keff ZEMAITIS (Custom-Built Macabre) Guitar, just make it all into a ROCK and absolutly raw sound! ---And under hard substances and conditions.....they make it perfect!...-YOU FIND IT BORED?? - I acept your point...I feel sorry for it..
-TO ME, the groovy ZEMAITIS on KR hand, bring all what we used to feel from them..
+Anthony R. It ain't for nuthin they called it "sucking in the 70's"....Interesting interview ofcourse, for historical reasons. Everything from The Stones, till 1980 is worth hearing...
The infantile get her yaya's out isnt even in the same building as Love You Live....as a matter of fact....Love You Live is hands down the best live Stones album.....by far.....the funk.....the reggae....the superior Berry jams.....the interplay and chemistry of the weaving guitars.....yougottabefuckinkkiddingme........!!!!!!!
@@larrynolletti4594 No, it's the first version of Brussel Affair.
@@Methilde oh.....yeah......and I forgot to mention Billy Preston....I wish they would release the entire El Mocombo show.....also the full Paris show was filmed as was the massive over 2 hour long Knebworth show.....release immediately......
not a good live album! Sorry syncophants! Ya Ya's was the best live!
God-awful "live" album. Just one of their worst. Filler between studio albums. The signal of the beginning of the end of The Stones as a creative, musical force in music. They've been coasting ever since.
+huascar66 ..'Bored You Live'.....How do you dare to utter this about our so loved institution The Strolling Bones..Me and my easily impressed army of sycophants will be after you...you hater......;']
+PAULLONDEN never get mad with ignorance.....it may help you too!
+huascar66 I thought "Some Girls" was a great album. A last flash before they faded away. So your point stands.
+huascar66 Actually the Mocambo set is pretty great; "Around and Around" and "Crackin' Up" are wonderful.
Anthony R. Bytheway...(bit late)....I wasn't 'mad'...just being sarcastic....as I agreed with the poster's comment...
'love you live' is trash,
Horrible album. Play it once.
