i really can't tell if this video was pointless or not cuz nothing really crazy happened, but i thought it would just be fun to chat about anyways. i feel like parties is something everybody going into high school fantasizes about and is kind of a "monumental moment", but really it's not all that. if you're stressed about not being invited to parties to live that "typical UNREALISTIC high school lifestyle" you see in movies, it's no biggie!! it took me 3 years to go to one and i ended up being soo bored loll. honestly high school in general is overrated. i'm just going to graduate and never see any of these people ever again baha. but i thought i'd make this video anyways because maybe it will be relatable or helpful to any of you.
p.s. i want to clarify this is not to bash on anybody !! if you like to party then you do you !! i'm not here to judge anybody. i was just sharing my experience and how i felt. i believe you should be able to do whatever you want if it makes you happy and isn't hurting anyone else ! just wanted to say that so no-one gets the wrong message hehe.
currently it's 10 AM and i woke up like a hour ago. i was supposed to go to the gym, but guess who slept in cuz they stayed up till 1 AM working on this video last night.... yep, this guyyyyy. and it's a really jam packed day today so probs just gonna go tonight or procrastinate and not go at all if we're being honest here lol. also seeing frozen 2 today !! i'm really excited and also to be hanging out with my friend who i haven't seen in awhile !! ok i'ma go now. happy early thanksgiving to all who celebrate it!

it's really refreshing to see someone with similar views. I'm someone who doesn't really like going to parties/drinking because of my social anxiety (and fear of not being in control lol) and I've literally been judged for it my whole life. I respect people who like parties and drinking/smoking but they never respected my decision to not do that, so for a while now I've felt like kind of an outcast and like I'm different from others. This video made me feel not so alone, thank you :)

This honestly just makes me so grateful that the only high school party I went to where there was going to be...capri suns...it was a birthday party and she asked all of the people who would be drinking to not get too crazy until after I left. She was an awesome friend.
But yes, as a fellow introvert, I just don't do parties. I'm that person sitting in the corner on her phone waiting until it's an acceptable amount of time to leave.

K s my thoughts on high school parties since yesterday was my last day of school ever: I have heard way too many crazy stories about how my friends got groped or forced into make out sessions that I don’t feel like I’m missing out on much. I also don’t think I’d be the type to drink even when I have the opportunity to. I get invited a lot but the friends of mine that really want to celebrate their birthday with me ask me to hang out with them and eat something or whatever. Parties can be fun, no doubt but getting picked up by the police isn’t a fun experience (in Germany you can drink at age 16 but often parties get too loud or there’s drugs or so). Also it’s way more fun to have your friends drunk text you at 1am and tell you how much they love you so I’m not complaining
I related to this a lot tbh ! Last year I was a senior and during our school dances and parties a lot of people would drink during them and at one point I thought it was what I also “had to do”. But after a while I realized that maybe dances and parties are just not for me lol and drinking doesn’t make u have a more enjoyable time !
i can relate so much. when i was younger i was one of those people who got drunk and then randomly started to talk about their problems to random people. then i got my car basically stopped drinking til this day and for years i just went to parties to drive my drunk friends home when the party was over and those were probably the most boring nights of my life because theres nothing to do for you if you dont drink except babysit your friends so they dont hurt themselves in their drunkness.

nooo baby, when youre drunk enough (it doesn’t take much depending on what you’re drinking) literally cannot stand up straight for very long unless you focus on it. you slur your words obviously, but being drunk is fun (when you don’t drink TOO much). i didn’t think i would like it and i didn’t understand it until i tried it and i’m pleasantly surprised! it makes me not exactly more outgoing, but more willing to say things (not bad things obviously) that i would normally keep to myself. i would definitely say though parties are only fun if 1) you’re with friends 2) you’re drunk or really like dancing and don’t mind doing so in public 3) try to dress up before hand! it makes it a lot more fun.
-this is all from a freshman in college whose first party was this year. i went to one completely sober with some people from my dorm i’d just met and i HATED IT i spent so much money on an uber home bc i couldn’t stand being there. then i went to another frat party (at the same frat) a few months later with my boyfriend and few friends cross faded off tito’s and a pen and it was soooo much fun

I've been to two highschool party and the majority of people at the parties were goody-twoshoes high achiever honors kids so there wasn't any alcohol (just one of my friends drinking an entire thing of Hawaiian Punch) or anything so we just had a good time burning homework, talking, eating food, playing games, and being obnoxious and honestly like this is a more fun type of party in my opinion because we're just a group of teenagers being our regular selves and just having a good time without a lot of dangerous risks (except for the lighter fluid but my friend's mom was inside the house so if something did go wrong we had help lol)
And then there's me: having no parties whatsoever, no dances, no nothing. This school year would've been the first year where we would've actually had a class trip again and some sort of "party". It makes me sad that these are my last months with some of my classmates and we can't do anything
