  • Let us take you on a journey from Winton to Mt Isa in Outback Queensland Australia. We give you a tour of Winton before heading to the towns of Kynuna, home to the famous Blue Heeler Hotel which has connections to Banjo Paterson and Waltzing Matilda, McKinlay where Crocodile Dundee was filmed to visit Crocodile Dundee's Walkabout Creek Hotel and the town of Cloncurry. Last stop is the city of Mt Isa which is a famous Australian mining town.

    This is mining town, so is this polluted. How’s the air quality in this town? I mean to live

      I think Mt Isa does have some pollution but the skies were clear while we were visiting.
      I'm not sure what it would be like to live there.

    I've always wondered what the Outback looked like! It looks similar to much of the desert area in the southwest U.S. Does Western Australia and the Northern Territory look similar to this?

      Hi,
      Lovely to hear from you! We are in the Northern Territory now, the north it is fairly green but the further south you go toward the centre of Australia it takes on an arid red hue with minimal vegetation.
      Of course you can drive hundreds of kilometres and not see another car so it is all very remote. We head into Western Australia tomorrow and will be putting up videos of our journey so stay tuned. :)
