Hi, My Lenovo IdeaPad 3 doesn't have boot mode UEFI/legacy. And my laptop keeps crashing at random times showing the boot failed screen. I usually just switch my laptop off and on for it to work but it would just crash again at random times showing the boot failed screen. any help to resolve this?
First your off reply to your subscribers is by far amazing! I'm currently sifting through the comments to see if others had the same issue as me, while I'm running a full diagnostics on my laptop. What I did was upgraded the SSD NVMe(1tb) and ram (32gb) on my T470 Lenovo Thinkpad. I encountered the 'boot loop' and watched your older video and now this one. I will keep you updated with diagnosis so far so good and maybe try to figure out to get pass this hurdle.

Good day sir. My problem is that my laptop shuts down after a short duration of turning on. I can access the BIOS stuff but again it just tuns of after a minute. TIA!
Thanks so much for all the information! A couple days ago I think I accidentally closed something I shouldn’t have in task manager, and ever since then my laptop gets to the Legion logo with the loading circle but after a few seconds it just goes black. Alternatively, every now and then it will go to the blue screen that says windows didn’t load properly. I’ve tried restoring it to a previous day last week, taking out the battery and reattaching it, and even reinstalling windows from the cloud. Nothing has worked, I’m still getting the same issue. The weird thing is that yesterday I went into BIOS and switched it to Dynamic Graphics (it was on discreet graphics before this) and I was able to load into windows. However, every game I tried to play was really slow, so I went back into bios and switched it back to discreet graphics and have been stuck with the issue again ever since. Getting to the Legion logo, the circle spins a few seconds, and then everything goes black. I’ve spent all weekend and probably 8 - 10 hours trying to fix this myself and I’m really stressing out. I really can’t send it in anywhere because I cannot afford it at the moment. PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN! 🙏
Also I should add that I have a Lenovo Legion 5. I just switched it back to Dynamic Graphics in BIOS for the second time and once again it worked and I can get into windows like normal. Why won’t it work with discreet graphics all of the sudden? Thanks for taking the time to read all this
So after a windows update, I started boot looping on my old x1 carbon. Tried changing boot mode in bios. Time is right. I cannot boot to USB to install a new os. I tried factory resetting bios. Nothing. Should I try flashing the bios? I'm hesitant to go that option cause I can only mount the iso to a CD as it's not showing as bootable media in Rufus. Or is it a motherboard issue. Only thing I haven't tried is the cmos battery as I don't want to tear the laptop apart.
I haven't tried this yet but I have a new computer but I'm trying to get my old computer to work that runs windows 10. My new one runs windows 11. Hope this works!
Hi Jamin! Thanks so much for sharing your videos! I tried changing options in the BIOS Utility including the date. I also was able to run the lenovo diagnostic system tests and they all passed. Hi, so I tried the novo button - unfortunately no lenovo diag software on this model. The system bios is keeping the correct date & time. I switched to legacy boot - no effect. I uninstalled the last update (one system update and the feature update) - no effect, so I tried to 'recover' windows (both ways - saving files and complete recovery) and it will get to about 83%, stop, and then say 'undoing changes' and eventually a blue screen will tell me that it failed. I wish I had the forethought to have made a recovery flash drive! Would I be correct in assuming the OS is damaged? Or should I pull the cover and reseat the hard drive for good measure? Right now it's sitting at the lenovo screen with the loading circle going and it's ticking away like it's working on something but it'll sit like this for hours. I really appreciate you commenting back! Thank you

First step would be to reseat the HDD. Sounds like you have with no luck. If there are any HDD Cables or other smaller boards that the HDD connects to before the motherboard, reseat those as well. If still no luck, your most likely looking at a HDD issue or Motherboard issue. Replace the HDD first and install an operating system to the new one. Help, I think my lenovo has 2 problems at the same time, the blue "Repair cannot repair your pc" and the black screen after loading. The issues started happened when one time my pc started to heat up a lot and then the entire pc froze, a couple of minutes later the screen turned off but the pc still on. I shut down it by holding the power button, when I reopen it, the blue screen appeared. Here are some things I tried to fix it: I tried the "continue" option, but it just restarts the pc and then the blue screen is back. I tried startup setting and enabled safe mode, it loaded. But when I restart the pc, the blue screen is back. I tried changing bios boot setting, nothing changed. I tried startup setting's "disable early launch anti malware protection" and "disable automatic restart after failure", that just lead to the black screen again. I tried using the terminal's "sfc /scannow" and "chkdsk /f C:", that didn't work. I don't really remember, but I think "startup repair" also lead to the black screen. I didn't try reseating the hardware and "Reset this pc" yet. Because I don't want to do it if I don't have to.

@@PC_Monkey thanks for the quick reply. I called Lenovo support and they told me the motherboard needs to be replaced. Just so you know, liquid spill situations can be hard to troubleshoot just one issue as multiple different components and boards including the motherboard itself, could all be faulty. After a liquid spill, you want to first make sure the computer is 100% dry. You would turn your computer off immediately by pressing and holding the power button until the computer turns off. Then you would disassemble the computer as much as your comfortable with, at least trying to remove the bottom case. Then you would turn it on its side and let dry for a couple days. Have you done this yet or are you sure the computer is dry?

Good day sir. My problem is that my laptop shuts down after a short duration of turning on. I can access the BIOS stuff but again it just tuns of after a minute. TIA!
same issue, any updates?

Ps it's not a spinning circle like it's not finding windows. Just Lenovo screen, no post.
It sees the hd and bootable USB in boot order. Change it to USB and load that first. Continues to loop and no post no matter what's on top

Can you find any Repair or Recovery options in BIOS? Can you find any 'Uninstall Last Update' in BIOS? Can you access the Lenovo diagnostic test?
Thank you

Do you have a NOVA button or pin-hole reset that can take you to BIOS or the diagnostic test? Also, did anything happen before this issue appeared? Liquid spill, overheating, Windows update, etc?
Hi Pc Monkey, I was stuck on boot loop on my Legion 5 Pro, the bios doesn’t have any change in Boot settings even if i disable safe setup mode, also the diagnostic setep provided by the company only gives option to choose bios settings or boot menu- which has windows and some Network boot option. Nothing was working since I couldn’t even reach automatic repairs before it crashes on booting screen and restarts. By some miracle my windows has booted now and is working fine but I’m scared of even shutting down my pc since this process wasted 2hrs of mine. What should i do now to fix this soo as it doesn’t happen again?? Since my windows is loaded and everything working fine i dont think it’s a hardware issue rather maybe my windows is corrupted?
how did you fix it ?
Thank you bro thank you sooooo much is work
Glad your all set :) Always here if needed !!

Also there is a title "preparing automatic repair"
1. Your not able to try any of the function keys to enter BIOS? Usually if there is time for that message to appear, there is time to click on a button as you would start clicking the button right after pressing the power button, before anything shows up on the screen.
2. Also, did anything happen before this issue appeared? Liquid spill, overheating, Windows update, etc?
@@PC_Monkey I was not able to enter anything, I managed to open the tab by pressing f11 and sum But then it instantly shut itself down

My Lenovo has a startup loop from an attempted bio updates.
Just get the lenovo screen, then black, then lenovo screen again.
Can't even get to the bios - any advice for that?

Hey I'm having a really big issue with a Lenovo e 14 the customer messed with some bios settings not knowing wich and formatted his blocker drive and wiped it because he has no way of recovery of the keys or password and the bios keeps giving me a write protect warning so I don't know where to start because of that
Unfortunately at this time, I do not assist with bypassing BIOS passwords on this channel :(
Help, I think my lenovo has 2 problems at the same time, the blue "Repair cannot repair your pc" and the black screen after loading. The issues started happened when one time my pc started to heat up a lot and then the entire pc froze, a couple of minutes later the screen turned off but the pc still on. I shut down it by holding the power button, when I reopen it, the blue screen appeared.
Here are some things I tried to fix it:
I tried the "continue" option, but it just restarts the pc and then the blue screen is back.
Were you able to run the Lenovo diagnostic test as seen here? Did you try the BIOS steps seen here including the Repair or Restore options?
@@PC_Monkey I think my Lenovo didn't have diagnostic test.

@PC_Monkey Thanks for your video. Unfortunately, I've tried all the options and my lenovo t570 won't boot... anything. After an automatic windows 10 update ran itself through a couple of bluescreens, the thing wont boot (once the OS starts loading, it just keeps saying "Windows could not complete the installation..."), so i went ahead and downloaded Ubuntu on a USB and tried to boot the installation. But that didn't work either! Tried a different linux installation, tried different usb ports, nothing. If you've any ideas or tips, would be greatly appreciated!
What was the result of the diagnostic test? Also, were you able to access BIOS and find any Uninstall Last Update options?

Just so you know, liquid spill situations can be hard to troubleshoot just one issue as multiple different components and boards including the motherboard itself, could all be faulty.
After a liquid spill, you want to first make sure the computer is 100% dry. You would turn your computer off immediately by pressing and holding the power button until the computer turns off. Then you would disassemble the computer as much as your comfortable with, at least trying to remove the bottom case. Then you would turn it on its side and let dry for a couple days. Have you done this yet or are you sure the computer is dry?
