Thanks! Great help! I had tried the bios settings. Then I checked your video and briefly listened about checking if hard drive was connected properly and then I just went straight on to make a Win 10 system usb disc to reinstall Windows. But when I went to load it in there was no HDD showing for it to load onto… So I looked… Oh… So it was instantly fixed by pushing it in enough (the rebrand seller had put a new disk in but had left the retaining screws off, so I put one in) and I learnt a couple of tips… Thank you!

First your off reply to your subscribers is by far amazing! I'm currently sifting through the comments to see if others had the same issue as me, while I'm running a full diagnostics on my laptop. What I did was upgraded the SSD NVMe(1tb) and ram (32gb) on my T470 Lenovo Thinkpad. I encountered the 'boot loop' and watched your older video and now this one. I will keep you updated with diagnosis so far so good and maybe try to figure out to get pass this hurdle.

So after a windows update, I started boot looping on my old x1 carbon. Tried changing boot mode in bios. Time is right. I cannot boot to USB to install a new os. I tried factory resetting bios. Nothing. Should I try flashing the bios? I'm hesitant to go that option cause I can only mount the iso to a CD as it's not showing as bootable media in Rufus. Or is it a motherboard issue. Only thing I haven't tried is the cmos battery as I don't want to tear the laptop apart.

Thanks so much for all the information! A couple days ago I think I accidentally closed something I shouldn’t have in task manager, and ever since then my laptop gets to the Legion logo with the loading circle but after a few seconds it just goes black. Alternatively, every now and then it will go to the blue screen that says windows didn’t load properly. I’ve tried restoring it to a previous day last week, taking out the battery and reattaching it, and even reinstalling windows from the cloud. Nothing has worked, I’m still getting the same issue. The weird thing is that yesterday I went into BIOS and switched it to Dynamic Graphics (it was on discreet graphics before this) and I was able to load into windows. However, every game I tried to play was really slow, so I went back into bios and switched it back to discreet graphics and have been stuck with the issue again ever since. Getting to the Legion logo, the circle spins a few seconds, and then everything goes black. I’ve spent all weekend and probably 8 - 10 hours trying to fix this myself and I’m really stressing out. I really can’t send it in anywhere because I cannot afford it at the moment. PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN! 🙏

Help, I think my lenovo has 2 problems at the same time, the blue "Repair cannot repair your pc" and the black screen after loading. The issues started happened when one time my pc started to heat up a lot and then the entire pc froze, a couple of minutes later the screen turned off but the pc still on. I shut down it by holding the power button, when I reopen it, the blue screen appeared. Here are some things I tried to fix it: I tried the "continue" option, but it just restarts the pc and then the blue screen is back. I tried startup setting and enabled safe mode, it loaded. But when I restart the pc, the blue screen is back. I tried changing bios boot setting, nothing changed. I tried startup setting's "disable early launch anti malware protection" and "disable automatic restart after failure", that just lead to the black screen again. I tried using the terminal's "sfc /scannow" and "chkdsk /f C:", that didn't work. I don't really remember, but I think "startup repair" also lead to the black screen. I didn't try reseating the hardware and "Reset this pc" yet. Because I don't want to do it if I don't have to.

I uninstalled the last update (one system update and the feature update) - no effect, so I tried to 'recover' windows (both ways - saving files and complete recovery) and it will get to about 83%, stop, and then say 'undoing changes' and eventually a blue screen will tell me that it failed. No, nothing happened prior too. As a matter of fact, I used the flimsy keypad cover. I keep my little lenovo on the couch overnight. A couple mornings ago I started it up like I always do and I saw the blue screen that said your pc ran into some issues and needs to restart. I forcefully restarted it since the screen seemed to be stuck for sometime on that same screen, and thats when I ran into the boot menu. So I followed the steps to switch the boot priority to the opposite, for me it was legacy and instead of getting the boot menu, I did get as far as the lenovo logo unlike before, but now it just loops to the boot menu. If still no luck, your most likely looking at a HDD issue or Motherboard issue. Replace the HDD first and install an operating system to the new one. You can get help with that with other video links in the description of this video. If that fails to help, your may need to replace the damaged motherboard at that point :(
@PC_Monkey Thanks for your video. Unfortunately, I've tried all the options and my lenovo t570 won't boot... anything. After an automatic windows 10 update ran itself through a couple of bluescreens, the thing wont boot (once the OS starts loading, it just keeps saying "Windows could not complete the installation..."), so i went ahead and downloaded Ubuntu on a USB and tried to boot the installation. But that didn't work either! Tried a different linux installation, tried different usb ports, nothing. If you've any ideas or tips, would be greatly appreciated!
@@PC_Monkey thanks for asking. The quick tests all showed passed. I disabled "Secrue RollBack Prevention" , and "OS optimized defaults" ... But still doesn't seem to want to boot anything. can't find anything about undoing any update.
@@filipniklas If the HDD is ok and the install still isnt going through, I would assume an issue with the Install Media or device, or an issue with the drive even though it said its ok.

@PC Monkey thanks for the reply, after more research turns out I had to use another computer to download and create bootable USB drive with diagnostic took. Honestly ridiculous but apparently a new thing lenavo is doing with ideapads. I did the diagnostic and now have been trying to create a recovery USB drive. You have to have 32gb usb drive, the serial number found in bios and lenavo login to create a recovery drive that expires in 3 days. It's a massive process. I'll come back and let you know if it works lol. Everything passed in the diagnostic scan so this is my next option. Also no spills or anything was using it last night, got up to boot screen. I'm thinking it was a windows update possibility?
Sounds like your on the correct video then. Have you tried the steps seen here? Also, did anything happen before this? Overheating, liquid spill, Windows update, etc?
@@PC_Monkey nothing happens, turns out whenever I reseat my ram, the same problem still exist, but when I take out one stick of ram, and just using one stick, it booted up. 🙏
Also I should add that I have a Lenovo Legion 5. I just switched it back to Dynamic Graphics in BIOS for the second time and once again it worked and I can get into windows like normal. Why won’t it work with discreet graphics all of the sudden? Thanks for taking the time to read all this

Here are some things I tried to fix it:
I tried the "continue" option, but it just restarts the pc and then the blue screen is back.

Hi, so I tried the novo button - unfortunately no lenovo diag software on this model. The system bios is keeping the correct date & time. I switched to legacy boot - no effect. I uninstalled the last update (one system update and the feature update) - no effect, so I tried to 'recover' windows (both ways - saving files and complete recovery) and it will get to about 83%, stop, and then say 'undoing changes' and eventually a blue screen will tell me that it failed. I wish I had the forethought to have made a recovery flash drive! Would I be correct in assuming the OS is damaged? Or should I pull the cover and reseat the hard drive for good measure? Right now it's sitting at the lenovo screen with the loading circle going and it's ticking away like it's working on something but it'll sit like this for hours. I really appreciate you commenting back! Thank you

So I found this update video and clicked your affiliate link for the anti static mat. Im in the process of removing the back of my Lenovo think pad, but the back won’t come off. I have an iFix it kit I bought from best buy awhile ago and while the screws around the border came off, Im not sure but I think the smaller ones that you cant see, if there are any screws in those holes at all because I cant tell, are stuck in. Im presently trying out the different screw tips to see if anything starts to unscrew. Im hoping that after I try to reseat the hard drive its good. But still trying to get the back off the computer.
I do however, have Edge which routinely and without prior warning updates on my computer. I dont know if something happened there or not. I just want to get back to my previous session so that I can at least save my latest files.

First step would be to reseat the HDD. Sounds like you have with no luck. If there are any HDD Cables or other smaller boards that the HDD connects to before the motherboard, reseat those as well. Well, i tried it by tapping f12 button and i heard a sound then only thing that i can see is the lenova symbol with black screen and the line that says “Entering Boot Menu” it stays like that nothing new appears

Lenovo Laptop (ideapad) Z510- Type 80A3. After Microsoft applied an update, my laptop was stuck with Preparing Automatic Repair. I watched a lot of RUclipss for answers without success. After I pressed the Novo button it got into the Novo button menu. Then I selected System Recovery, the screen just turned into black screen without giving me Choose an option. Nothing happened after that. I had to press the power button to shut it down. I cannot get into Advance Repair and/or Advance Option. How can I get into Troubleshoot? There is no external devices attached. The CMOS battery is still the original battery which is about 10 years old. Do you think I should replace it to solve this problem? Thanks
1. Can you find any options in BIOS that sound like 'Uninstall Last Update'?
2. Also, can you find and run the diagnostic test as seen here?
@@PC_Monkey 1. when my laptop started to act up back in August 2023, I checked and saw there were about 8 updates quality and features updates combined. I was able to get access the uninstall manual. There were about 2 updates Microsoft Windows stopped in the middle of uninstall process. I had to force shut down. It got worse. Now I could not access that Advanced options menu to do anything. 2. I did not see that the diagnostic test screen/menu on my laptop. I watched your RUclipss over and over and checked out your viewers' questions and your answers to try to get a good answer/solution. Thanks.

Hello! I just reset factory again my Lenovo legion y540 yesterday 8.15.2024. I did it via settings and find reset PC. And it did, now my problem is after resetting it nothing appears in the screen. I thought till now maybe it takes a very long time to regenerate the system before it wakes up or the screen pops up. But till now 8.16.2024 still nothing appears on the monitor. What should be the best thing to do? Thank you so much! Now I just let it on I will try to turn it on till the morning and see if it wakes up or screen pops out.
Try a forced restart by holding the power button till the computer turns off. What happens when you turn it back on?
