Curseblade cirques don't throw the weapons. And the really special part about these weapons is its guard power and guard boost it has. Wopping 45 conpared to 15 of most other weapons in its class. It's ment for blocking and guard counters. You missed a great opportunity to highlight these unique weapons here. They work so well as a guard counter build. They have a unique spin counter. And block alot of dmg just like the enemies do
Most of this is just wrong lmao. There's only 3 backhand blades, which vary in guard boost by about 15, there's only one with 15 boost and it has the same exact spin move on the guard counter. And yes they don't throw, but the smithscript cirques do throw, have a guard boost of 30 AND have an actual unique guard counter which retreats and throws the blades (giving you more opportunities to buff your damage unlike the curseblade) This is similar to the smithscript daggers guard counter.
Beast claws were a lucky curse for me... found them basically first thing walkin out the gate in the DLC, then used them, loved them, found another weapon, tried it, went back to beast claws, found another weapon, tried it, went back to beast claws... and that was the whole DLC for me, I started messing with the martial arts while helping a friend with his playthrough and thats fun too but those beast claws were just soo damn fun and stronk in most cases. Did a mostly quality build with some arcane, used greases on the claws when needed. I cosplayed as the divine beast the whole time too, just jumpin around clawin everything to hell!
just to add some info, if you deplete your fp the ash of war does a double dagger toss in a straight line that does some decent damage still, is this the same throw as the strong attack?
@austins.2495 Totally agreed! There are a lot of new weapons I love. The Fire Knight Greatsword looks fantastic and I love the moveset. Bleed martial arts is so damn fun too. I could gush about a lot of the weapons lol.... messmer's spear ❤️
As someone who enjoys hand to hand combat for the challenge, the most annoying things is flying enemy’s. Or enemy’s that constantly reposition. The stone golem charged projectile attack may not do a lot of damage, but if it helps get the enemy in position to run hands, that’s massive.
Weirdly UNlucky to actually need to farm the sword.. those imps are everywhere! I got a lot of satisfaction from smacking them off of their pogo though
13:18 in my experience the best way to combo with the milady is to go for heavy and then lights afterwards very simple and powerfull ( best thing about this moveset is that you can literally delay your attacks )
I also prefer the H-L-L Combo myself. Comes out faster than the normal light combo, still builds multi hit talismans, and status effects are in full effect, unlike with some AoW. I love the Milady and am trying to get back into the dlc on my new run so I can powerstance 2 Bloody Milady's. Right now, I'm 2 handing 1Cold Milady and it eats with Wing Stance. Just, love it. Takes a bit to get used to, but when you do she rewards you with amazing and smooth dps. Small tip, it works both ways too. L-L-H, leads with the poke attack from light combo for range then goes into the double heavy slash. Great for mixing with the H-H-L when the opening isn't big enough but you're trying to keep your talismans going.
Also a hidden factor with the sword of light amd darkness , when you raise the sword up it does a small aoe burts to disrupt enemies attacking you so you can get the skill off . You gotta time it right so the ash can hit 2 times , the burts before the beams or smoke comes out then the beams or smoke .
Me and a few buddies got different swords unintentionally and we found out you could only get one so we all instantly started passing them around so our whole goup had both on day 1
I’ve been loving the Golem Fist , I’ve been using it on heavy affinity and get great damage. I use usually use the uncharged heavy attack to stagger in pvp when they think they’re far enough to heal and then I quickly launch a fist. The damage isn’t great but I’ve been doing an overloaded build with quick step and blessed blue dew talisman (infinite quick step) and it’s been doing pretty well for me hahahahaha
@@alphadoge3604 pity you never learned what sarcasm is, I was sure putting the winking and laughing emojis was sure to point that out. Damn skippy, go touch grass.
I was going to say this as well. TBH, I thought it was eupHoria too. Its a phenomenon called "typoglycemia". The human brain is capable of inserting missing letters or glossing over spelling errors, sometimes without even realizing. Someone pointed out the fact that there is no "H" in another video, and I was a little surprised. To be fair, I don't think I actually had acquired the weapon yet, so hadn't really been looking at the spelling/item description. But I think FightinCowboy may have also called it the Euphoria? It kind of makes sense. One might even assume there was a misspelling in the game (there was another typo I noticed somewhere, although I can't remember the exact instance). There is so much stuff in the DLC, it might be fair to assume they meant "euphoria". Its a common and familiar word. If you try to google "euporia" it will actually autocorrect for you and search for Euphoria instead. If you force it to actually search for "Euporia", nothing comes up. So, either its a totally made up word, or it was a spelling error on behalf of FS
My favorite combo is Milady, Wolf Crest Shield and solitude set. Block with shield counter with R2 heavy usually stuns enemies but if not does take quite a bit of their health and one or two light attacks will stun.
Perhaps the Charged stone fist attack is mainly meant to grab agro from a distance in co-op. I use some of these projectile features for fist weapons to get the attention off the host when I see them getting melted from a distance
Fun build I’ve been using- pairing the divine bird greaves with Danes footwork, kick ash (blood affinity), rotten winged sword talisman, lord of bloods exhultation, and shattered stone talisman
for light greatswords I love the R2 R2 R1 R1... The attacks merge very well with each other, and the second R2 leaves the weapon in an upward position that connects very quickly with the first R1.
This game is too good. Even though the formula of how to traverse and explore their titles is something I’ve grown more than accustomed to, this one always has that little extra path you discover and every time I’m in awe of what awaits around the corner. Truly, a masterpiece of a game design.
It may be tempting to refer to weapon skills as Ashes of War, but they are distinct. Per the loading screen tooltips: "Skills Armaments have special abilities called skills. "Armament Customization Ashes of War are memories of the affinities and skills imbued in armaments wielded long ago. With a Whetstone Knife, you can use ashes of war to customize your armaments at sites of grace." So you can see, the developers made a distinction between the skill itself and the ash that lets you apply a skill to an armament. Also, a minor pet peeve of mine, but a thing cannot be "very" unique. A thing is either unique or it is not. Thank you for your work, please spread the word!
i did unlock all of these weapons... my question is about messmer soldier spear: i had no idea that weapon has a long range attack... in order for that attack to work, do i need to infuse it with bloodflame??
Dual wielding Lizard Greatswords with the Imp Mask makes you look like a psycho when spawning into multiplayer, which I love. The right AoW and weapon buffs make it a fun customizable build, I like the Braggart's Roar on one and something with cold infusion on the other.
The bleed on a messmer solider spear is honestly nuts. You can bleed almost anything with two charged R2 and so far its one of the highest out puts for bleeed
The fire knight greatsword, when it was more holy than fire, carried me second half of the game, up to final boss. With holy and blood tears physicks the crucible wings ash did 8k damage. It is less now, but moveset and also mobility from that ash are very good. (you can run away from the enemy you are locked on, you even cast the animation looking away from them, but the thrusting dive will turn you 180 degrees towards them)
I totally ignored the Milady on my first playthrough because I was obsessed with trying to make Rellana's Twinblade work, but I'm going through my second playthrough with the Milady and it sooooo good! I have it maxed out with the wing stance set to a bleed affinity and it procs bleed like crazy because of the following combo: L2+R1,R2, R1 chain
Something you forgot about the livers greatsword is that it deals strike damage and not slash or pierce. It’s basically a hammer with greatsword move set
I took me 2 hours to get that damn spear. I got the axe 6 times while farming and when I finally got the spear, both soldiers i was farming dropped one consecutively. Now I am powerstancing them lmao
It makes so much sense now. The fire knight great sword was mid for me when I used it. But it being bugged would explain why. But I agree the moveset was great. Tons of stagger potential.
Curse Blade's Cirque + the Dancer Set = Dancer from Final Fantasy 14. It may be the worst backhand weapon in the game but it was still a lot of fun to play. The armor set also conviniently boosts the weapons ability

I had a lot of fun with the Death Knight's Twin Axes and Death Knight's Longhaft Axe. Both of them boss drops from catacombs Fogrift and Scorpion River respectively. I prefer the Twin Axe because the Ash feels better to me to use then the Longhaft Axe Ash. Longhaft Axe is stronger and has a longer reach but the Ash isn't very good against fast enemies.
I’ve actually been using the Fire Knight Greatsword with lightning infusion and a Dex build. It’s excellent in my current build and no feel silly for not realising fire is best with it 😂
Some of these weapons have an abysmal drop rate. I was using every buff possible and had my discovery at like 325 and it still took hours to get the curseblade cirque and the Black Steel Twinblade
I got the curseblade cirque to drop three times on accident. All three times, it dropped from the curseblade that's close to the dancing lion's boss arena. I thought it was a guaranteed drop for a while.
Cirque did take quite a while for me too.. and I also farmed for the twinblade for about 3 hours before I realized its a guaranteed drop from the westernmost knight outside of Shadow Keep..
i can't really speak to its effectiveness but i had to farm on and off for weeks to get the "Bloodfiend's Sacred Spear". it seems to be a rare drop. i actually gave up trying to get it thinking it wasn't a weapon you could actually get and a few days later it dropped - seems to be similar to Mohgwyn's Sacred Spear as far as its ash of war goes
For the flame greatsword rock rakasha armor, messmer helmet. Alexander shard, axe talisman (charge attacks) fire scorpion and lastly either another damage talisman or a quality or defensive one. Slaps
I was wondering how to get that spear! Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't the Redmane knight have this in Caelid and does not drop it no matter how many times I've killed him. Besides where the cragblade scarab is ..
honestly I wouldn't be surprised if you'are able to combine both sword of light and dark at a forge to make a weapon that uses both movesets or something. kind of like in dark souls 3 with the two prince's weapons.
Fire Knight Greatsword is just a fucking monster, it gets me through the entire DLC, with faith build on lvl 150, with flame spear ash of war, golden wow, flame grant me strenght and flame crack tear I had like 4500 attack rating on 19 scadutree fragments and deal like 3-5,5k dmg on just R1 lol im glad they didnt nerf my boy.
Milady swings ridiculously fast so wouldn't it be great with Royal Knight's Resolve to buff its damage ? Another positive aspect of the Lizard Greatsword is that it deals strike damage (instead of standard) which certain enemies are really weak against.
Took me forever to get the messmer spear drop and even longer to get the golem fists cause I was farming the wrong golems and then when I was farming the right ones it still took me awhile to finally get. Not looking forward to farming a double lol.
I used the lizard greatsword for a large portion of my first playthrough. Once I saw it had the claymore poke I fell in love, then I noticed that it had that projectile and it became my favorite
I literally have the Lizard greatsword 5 times from just running each catacomb once. Not rare at all and I'm not running an arcane build (10Arcane). The Messmer soldier spear in fact I agree with massively saw that weapons potential as soon as it dropped! For the Euporia, I used assassins Gambit to circumnavigate all the enemies, cuz the Divine Beast warrior smear me across the dungeon floors so easily.
I farmed for the Cirque during my first Elden Ring playthrough and accidently completely cheesed Malenia with it. Stunlocked and bled her to death. So - not that bad of a weapon 😅
I've been very much enjoying your content since I've been watching again with the recent DLC release. I'm a little confused about the title of this series though.. I have a hard time believing that anyone would consider the lizard greatsword a rare weapon. Likewise with the fire knight's greatsword and Milady.. considering their popularity wouldn't you agree that they are kind of the opposite of rare? I do think that you are doing a fantastic job: your content is generally informative, accurate, and well delivered, so keep up the good work!
even tho its not a rare weapon i realy enjoy the Death Knight Longshaft Axe. But the Catacomb you get it in is basicly the fromsoft version of the watertemple in ocarina of time
Curseblade Cirque charged r2 is not a throwing heavy… the other circular blades is not the one from the Curse Blade Omens. That’s why it’s better than the other circular back hand blades.
location for 4th weapon isnt correct on screen at least. go to first floor library and go down elevator and he is standing right outside. go max arcane, use silver scarab and hand consumable for luck if u have. same for weapon 6
What chest piece were you wearing while going over the Curseblade Cirque (Weapon 3)? It looks sick and I'm doing fire knight cosplay/weaponry/magic in my playthrough... Edit: I realized it's the final boss's armor
Didn’t realize how lucky I’ve been getting with weapons drops. Was expecting to see stuff that I didn’t even know existed. Instead it was more like “oh I have about 4 of those in storage….and that too”
@@widdershins5383 yea those things are easy but pretty annoying to fight since they’re always in a small room and you only get a few in each area. So it’s a lot of going back to rest and try again. Definitely a slow grind to farm.

I will say, not sure if you’ve heard this yet, but the twinblade is Euporia not Euphoria. This isn’t just you, most people I’ve seen have made this mistake. Regardless, I loved the video. Keep up the good work!
Do yourself a favor and use the Lizard sword with the Poison Flower Blooms Twice AoW on a DEX+ARC build 1 Proc the deadly poison of the weapon with heavy attacks 2 Use AoW 3 Repeat
Does the Rotten Wing talisman increase the Euporia dual blade charging rate? Or something like the Godfrey Icon talisman? Otherwise it's going to be uselessly hard to get it charged up for a boss fight and mobs are infrequent.

i can't really speak to its effectiveness but i had to farm on and off for weeks to get the "Bloodfiend's Sacred Spear". it seems to be a rare drop. i actually gave up trying to get it thinking it wasn't a weapon you could actually get and a few days later it dropped - seems to be similar to Mohgwyn's Sacred Spear as far as its ash of war goes
showing requirements for each would be handy so we knew if it fit our build
For the flame greatsword rock rakasha armor, messmer helmet. Alexander shard, axe talisman (charge attacks) fire scorpion and lastly either another damage talisman or a quality or defensive one. Slaps
Sounds sweaty
I was wondering how to get that spear! Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't the Redmane knight have this in Caelid and does not drop it no matter how many times I've killed him. Besides where the cragblade scarab is ..
honestly I wouldn't be surprised if you'are able to combine both sword of light and dark at a forge to make a weapon that uses both movesets or something. kind of like in dark souls 3 with the two prince's weapons.
For milady while one handed R1 Special -> R2 -> R1 -> R1 -> R1. This is my favorite combo.
The Messmer soldiers spear also gets a rare A in occult scaling. A beast with spectral lance.
No such thing as occult scaling...do you mean arcane?
Swift spear , it's so underrated
Experimenting with Occult M Soldier Spear using Spectral Lance AOW on an Arcane build. It’s a Stance Blaster! 😁
A video on the locations of all the new weapon types would be cool
the backhand weapon is for blocking and counterattacking, and the ashe of war can be inhanced by using the kick talisman
The curse blade helm is worth farming for, the weapons so so..but that helm not only boosts dex, but it looks badass on a female character
I used the great sword of solitude the entire DLC. Classic souls weapon
Does the bloodflame gimmick still work with the forked hatchet, after patch?
All smithscript weapons have a lot of damage drop-off at range, it's just an extention of reach
Have you tried pairing it with the arrow talismans? Notably the one for effective range?
Huge missed opportunity not giving us the pogo stick attack. Imagine a build with the pogo stick and the yoshi tongue 😂
Lizard sword dropped first time at the end of the secret catacombs when go down the ladder at shadow keep
Honestly I think the low damage on throw attacks with the smith script stuff is mainly a balance factor.
@@fireblast133 yeah but everything has to be either OP or useless also the cirques do a ton of damage from what I've seen with the jump attacks.
even tho its not a rare weapon i realy enjoy the Death Knight Longshaft Axe.
Dom with another banger video, love to see it
location for 4th weapon isnt correct on screen at least. go to first floor library and go down elevator and he is standing right outside. go max arcane, use silver scarab and hand consumable for luck if u have. same for weapon 6
Fire knighta greatsword is so good. I love it.
Instead it was more like “oh I have about 4 of those in storage….and that too”
The only super rare thing I’ve been looking for is those gawddamn rock fists, I hate farming those forge golems, more than fighting any boss
Only one I don't have naturally is the golem fists
@@widdershins5383 yea those things are easy but pretty annoying to fight since they’re always in a small room and you only get a few in each area. So it’s a lot of going back to rest and try again. Definitely a slow grind to farm.
This is exactly what I need ❤❤🎉🎉 thank you Dom! 🎉🎉
The curse blade cirque obliterate the humanoids bosses…. You missed it’s utility ❤ they dodge to quick or to late but they get hot everytime having you safe at some distance
Dryleaf weapons were really good too!
I will say, not sure if you’ve heard this yet, but the twinblade is Euporia not Euphoria. This isn’t just you, most people I’ve seen have made this mistake. Regardless, I loved the video. Keep up the good work!
Do yourself a favor and use the Lizard sword with the Poison Flower Blooms Twice AoW on a DEX+ARC build
1 Proc the deadly poison of the weapon with heavy attacks
2 Use AoW
3 Repeat
I used the messmer soldier spear to beat the game.... I put blood tax on it and used it with the stone finger print shield.. Finally beat Radahn
Great video & really good weapons 👌🏾
ALL these awesome weapons just for me to see everyone use swift slash and blink bolt in pvp.
Does the Rotten Wing talisman increase the Euporia dual blade charging rate? Or something like the Godfrey Icon talisman? Otherwise it's going to be uselessly hard to get it charged up for a boss fight and mobs are infrequent.
