    Thanks for this video. I was just about to buy one but I already have the SZK PRO and now I know they are the same vehicle just a different body so no need to buy one now.

    Mine makes that same creaking noise under load. Is that normal? And what is causing it? Thanks for the review !

    Just bought one, and a katana. Have the fx118 and cr18 evo pro with a venom setup. Got some wheels and tires on them too. Love furitek/hobbyplus personally.

    Great Video Hype! I always like and appreciate your commentary. One quick question: Can you describe the tires and inserts you used on the rig? The flex in the tires looked perfect! Very helpful, thanks again!

      The Inserts are a 2 stage foam that come with them from DJCrawler. You can see them on the table or check them out in the link.

    Now i am confused, disovering this platform late. Whats the point of the Hobby Plus EVO offerings then, to be a little cheaper? This looks like a mix of my SCX24s and the CR18P i just bought. 8:44 i am surprised by this, my mini komodos have the smoothest transition out of FOC.

    • @hyperc5249
      @hyperc5249  Месяц назад

      So this platform is actually SCX24 transmission and FCX24 axles. The Komodo isn't the problem. It's the gearing is too tall. It's actually an RTR for someone who doesn't want to build up a comp rig on their own.

    I have an Evo Pro with a Furitek brushless system in it. Do you think this truck would offer much variety to that, or basically just a different body color?

    • @hyperc5249
      @hyperc5249  3 месяца назад +1

      This has the FCX axles and SCX 24 transmission. I like to build my rigs. This one is a good choice for someone who just wants something that is somewhat capable box stock.

    • @JT-np1op
      @JT-np1op 3 месяца назад +2

      These are 2 TOTALLY different rigs.
      The evo pro is about 25mm wider and a bit longer. It is considered 1/18th scale and this is 1/24th scale.
      Evo pro is comp or p-style rig. The fury wagon and Katana are very similar to the Evo. The cayman is a smaller scale.

    I love my Fx118 and Katana, but the slop in the drive shafts, trans and portals is one thing I wish I could address.

    • @hyperc5249
      @hyperc5249  3 месяца назад +1

      This has FCX24 portals on it. I do believe that HobbyPlus is addressing that issue.

    • @SingleSpeedRC
      @SingleSpeedRC 3 месяца назад +1

      The slop is mostly those 2 speed capable transmissions there's a lot of gears in there on the fx118 and my FCX based cayman is the same. I think they get away with the tiny SCX trans on this thing cuz the oversized out runner and not needing all the reduction.

    Awesome video man. Just one critique. Can you maybe add commentary when you crawl? Or something other than that music. I did not like that but I did enjoy the video overall.👍

      Thank you. I always appreciate constructive input. What about just the sound of the truck during the crawl? I have been looking into adding commentary over the running footage. I'm not quite sure how to lay it over the footage. And doing live commentary is hard because I'm not sure what clips I'm going to use until editing. Thanks.

    I really want to pull the trigger on this but the Furitek FX118 has been nothing but headaches, the bolts are SO tiny, I've have had them come loose fall out heads strip so easy, drive shaft issues, the TINY thin pins that hold the wheel hexes bend and break, the furitek upgrade parts not fitting properly with each other, even the od portal gears had one gear missing the slot for the pin! I've spent a bunch of money and have "upgrade" parts that I've just tossed away because they just didn't work out properly. Caster blocks break so easy, bought and RCAWD metal front axle for another 58 bucks but even that was off but just a bit causing more fitment issues. When it's running it performs great but it's just not reliable at all and constantly breaks. I've done a ton of mods to the Ascent 18 and the TRX4m with great results and zero fitment or reliability issues. This one looks really tempting but I just can't bring myself to trust it's any better than my FX118.

      This has FCX axles and SCX24 transmission. My EVO PRO has actually been very solid. 18th and 24th scale rigs use those small screws. You have to be very precise when working on these mini rigs. I like building my rigs, but this one is pretty nice.
