Started with "Dry Fighting Weight" this week. Found that I am so used to prescribed resting periods that I really struggeled with that autoregulation method. Felt like I did not put in the effort that I should. Anyway, thanks a lot for providing highly informative content for free! ❤
@mahari7285 - Prescribed rest periods have their place. But autoregulation certainly takes awhile to get used to. If we listen to the signals our bodies are giving us, we can typically make better progress, longer.
#1 is big and I've found that restraint is a huge key to progress. I'm on week 5 of Maximorum (which is FANTASTIC) and I've caught myself pushing faster than autoregulation would dictate to see those higher total rep numbers for the given days techniques in the time allotment... This is ego folly and only slows long term progress. Be aware you won't have the exact same energy levels every day and it's stupid to try and force it. When I restrain closer to auto-regulation, even if I'm doing lower numbers than I did last week, progression flows much better, I feel better and more look forward to the next day's work. Focus on the long game.
Hey Geoff just started your Olympic 3.0 today using 2 16kg bells . Still had some left in the tank so I did some double snatches and DL am I being counterproductive by doing more work than what’s scheduled for that day? Thanks
@chrism2983 - Typically, yes. It's ok to not feel exhausted after a workout and walk away feeling good. And remember, the program gets harder as it progresses.
Come to see you everyday before my workout~ Trying to enhance my training wisdom~
