if you change line 111 from "S1000" to "[S]" it will get the spindle speed you set in your tool selection, that way it's easier to vary the laser strength. the new grbl 1.1 has it set to 12000 for full power. wonder if its possible to get it to do shading
Not on the K40 as the laser in this configuration is not modulated (it is either on or off). However you could modify the hardware to (i.e. modulate the laser) and do shading, since I have several of these it wasn't worth while for all the work and do very little shading almost all cutting. :-)

we can cooperate to make one for plasma CNC I have one, its controller is FangLing 2300 and take .TXT and .CNC file format. and I can send you a sample file to be the template to work on?
So do you have Vetrics Cut2D? As the Laser post processor will likely work as it simply removes the Z movement the same as with a laser. If this is the case, would be happy to post the code for you...
Hi there, I"m using a g540 to control my machine with a Jtech laser. They way it is looking I'll will be using flood control to start and stop my laser. Will your post processor work with it in Cut 2d pro?
his g540 is the controller he is using not a program, the flood control pinout he planned to use to start and stop laser, so he wants to use it that way, im assuming he is using mach3 to use with his post processor

I have the latest version of Cut2D and it doesn't include the grbl post processor. Where did you get yours? Can you make yours available?

Yes and speed too. Did you make it from a regular end mill or did you use the laser category that is in the program.
Yes I treat it as a regular end mill and think I used 6mm per second...
