Heya guys, sorry I kinda sound like shit for the first couple of minutes. That's what I get for trying to do a voiceover as soon as I wake up, lol! I get into the groove a couple of minutes in though :)
Loved this video so much, I like your challenge run videos a lot the pacing, commentary, and gameplay never disappoints! I also just am in love with new Vegas, will forever be my favorite fallout game in the franchise :)
an alternative writing of this comment I was considering is "an hour long video, on a Saturday, in this part of the country, at this time of day, localized entirely on RUclips?!" I think I need to steam some hams now
I would have just referred to the character as a Talon, rather than the full Talon Company Merc. Something that's helpful about lonesome road in hardcore mode is there are various locations that have autodocs that are easily accessible and they fully heal you, heal all limbs, and remove all rads and addictions The red glare is definitely the flagship weapon of lonesome road, as shown by there being a challenge and an achievement for getting one fully upgraded. It is a lot of fun to use, but good lord is it heavy, especially in hardcore mode with rockets having weight Lonesome road is definitely very somber with how it starts and how it ends, even if ulysses is an imbecile and hypocrite and yaps *waaaaaaaay* too much. I *hate* the ashton silo elevator ride, it is such BS-constant bloody explosions making aiming near impossible, controller constantly shaking, and the tunnelers literally being visibly spawned in the middle of the elevator to attack you. The courier's mile, though you skipped it, is also really annoying if it glitches and causes all enemies to aggro on you immediately when you walk in, even if they're far beyond detection range of you. It is a fun combat area if you can manage it though, same with the long 15 and dry wells
I'll keep that in mind for the Fallout 3 Talon Bro run :) Been so long since I got an achievement in FNV, namely cause I never play Caravan & was never invested in the Sunset SS Caps, that I completely forgot about the achievement to fully upgrade Red Glare! Man, I haven't run The Courier's Mile in years. I remember that place being super tough with the wack HP regen the irradiated enemies there have. Very cool area though; as you said, Lomesome Road is somber from start to finish, that lil area definitely adds to the atmosphere.
@@MidlothianOdyssey the HP regen truly is bananas, but manageable if you can get them only a few at a time. It's much, much worse and miserable if the game glitched and had them all aggro you immediately so you're getting attacked by like 15 people at once, all with high tier weaponry and specialist ammo like AP or HP rounds...and then the deathclaws come in. Using an AMR with explosive rounds really helps though, really made things run more smoothly since it was possible to cripple/kill multiple enemies at once, and then later once all the marked men were dead to then snipe the deathclaws and kill them in 1-3 shots I got the final NV achievement over a decade ago, the 'evacuate zion' one, which I did last since I always prefer to actually handle the white legs rather than just have the sorrows run away like Daniel wants them to do. House was my final faction achievement to get, and aside from that the other final achievements were the 30 caravan games (looked up strats for it-build a deck of only 6s, 8s, 10s, and kings then stack to 26 on each one, using a king on a 10 if it's paired with a 6 or the 8 if it's paired with an 8 (10x2 +6 =26, 10+8x2 = 26. Really helps streamline the minigame and make it more bearable), the 3* GRA challenges and the ceasar's legion faction run. Usually play with either NCR or Yes man, House is much less frequent, and legion was only once for the achievement

Glad you enjoyed!
An hour long video, uploaded on a Saturday? I must've accidentally skipped a few months on the calendar and gone straight to Christmas!
