Comes out tomorrow for us mortals. Unfortunately I have exams and therefore as a good student (heh), I will be waiting till the end of next week. Its gonna be a looooonggggggg 7 days
TinnedTommy It would 'nerf' the gun because it would blind you, putting the down the people who scream about how 'OP' it is, but it would also make it look cool as hell... Do it for the Gasser and the Bodeo and we black powder now.
They could make the smoke dissapear pretty quickly. Enough so that by the time you reload it is gone. It could also disrupt peoples vision indoors. I think that would be a pretty awesome mechanic.
stefan speidel well I mean in the actual war you couldn't choose a weapon, you had your country's primary bolt action rifle and officers got handguns. I feel like the selection of experimental/failed trial guns is plenty right now but I would like to see bolt actions expanded on with more French weapons.
Well that is true, in the real war you would also been in the trenches most the time. Also no battle of the somme, no french, i mean its hardly a depiction of the great war. And i find that pretty sad
Its bugging the shit outta me why I cant use a bipod and iron sights at the same time. Weapon customization doesn't exist, and each class has all of 4 guns. Wow
Lol he said that the starting gun (cei riggoti) is the worst medic gun and is very hard to use like what the fuck. the gun is way more stable than a mondragon or a selbstlader m1916. the automatic fire mode is so good for close range. its awesome for close-medium range.
this may sound dumb, but I mainly use some of the weapons in this game for aesthetic reasons, for instance m favorite gun to use us the g.98 infantry variant because I just think it looks sexy.
Yeah, during the beta each time I played support, I had to use that machine gun with magazine on the side that goes to the opposite side as you shoot, can't remember the name. But it was just so cool.
Chris Jordan yea I've been using the Bar only because I recognized it from the old WW2 games. I lose a lot of close quarters fights but idc, it's the Bar
so lets see if the Martini-Henry is op Positives- real nice one-shot kill sweetspot and bad ass look and sound. Negatives- low bullet velocity, reload after everyshot and iron sights only. the people that say it is op are the salty kids being killed by it
Scout isn't OP. it's in the best place it's been since the huge nerf it had in bf3 and bf4. Rifles are well balanced and gadgets are situational but useful. OP would be being able to rek in cqb and you just can't compare to assault with an smg. play your role correctly and you will be effective
I think they are a little bit too good tbh, close quarters kills are so easy....shoot(doesnt matter where) get cover and switch to your pistol and kill him with 1 pistol bullet. Or you just headshot them what is pretty easy with iron sights
JustKaan easier said than done really. If the assault player is bad enough to let you switch to pistol and find cover he deserves to die. Especially when one burst from an automatico kills you in half a second
I agree. This game is definitely more tactical. You can't really Run N gun with semi's for medic, lest you get mowed down by a Hellfighter Trench gun, Or a support. Besides, scouts can't get 1 shot kills anymore point blank. I've done a few things as scout, but just as luck and panic in a cqb situation.
I think scout is good but it still annoys me how I can shoot a sniper rifle at someone in the chest sometimes and they are fine. Also it is very difficult to switch from your rifle to pistol quickly like in bf4. Now it seems you either go for the kill with the rifle or your pistol because most of the time you can't try both
0:16 did you close that barn door to increase your visibility in the barn, or did you actually know that fucker was throwing a grenade and subsequently SHUT THE FUCKING DOOR ON THE GRENADE THEREBY BOUNCING THE GRENADE OUT OF THE BARN?
It's gonna be like hardline, there will be somewhat too little amount of guns at launch but by the time all the dlc's roll through we'll have plenty. (Personally I think the only issue with bf1 rn is lack of weapons and lack of customization)
Well, it is his job to play DICE's games. I mean, he played a ton of Hardline but thought it was hot diarrhea, so he doesn't necessarily like this game just because he plays it a lot.
so why isn't there like level 6, 7, 8, or 9, guns. Am i missing something or does it feel like there is less weapons and items to work towards then pervious titles? Wont this get old eventually
the game is already is using a lot of if not all experimental weapons from the time and borderline anachronistic weapons. so yeah, at the time, there were not a lot of options. im sure they will release more exotic weapons but by default of the time period there's not a lot of wiggle room.
For the medic, there is also another gun that has the same stats (according to in-game stats). The Selbstlaber M1916. The only difference between both would be: optical options and mag size.
The Sniper Class isn't OP. It's a WW1 game, so bolt actions are supposed to be good (at the distance they are meant for). In Modern Combat games, assault rifles are supposed to be good. If anybody doesnt like the bolt actions in WW1 games, go play BFBC, BFBC2, BF3, BF4, BFH etc etc.
Stickbo yes it does, that's like saying sticks are better than guns in today's wars. Each time has a good weapon, Bolt actions were the ideal weapon in WW1 because they were wildly available, cheap and very effective
The time to kill with an LMG in this game is insane. Not to mention the accuracy sucks, even when prone/bipod. Been finding it very difficult to enjoy playing the support class. I wish they would add the mechanic they had in BF4 where any class could have a carbine... this game should be any class can have a bolt action, so long as its iron sights only... aside from the fact its how it was in WWI - it would give people more options.
I think only the BAR is useful, other ones are just way too bad...close range = SMG and Shotgun, medium range=DMR or Martini/SMLE And Long Range= Other snipers
Agree I think all the rifles from medic should've been for all classes and any class should have chance to equip a medic pack and only the support the revive
I typically use the Mecenrie Storm (Or whatever it is, 30round LMG with iron sights on left side) Or the Lews gun suppressive and tear ass with them both. This is WW1. People didn't run around carrying LMG's typically. they were stationed on narrow corridors of trenches or sharp turns. Which just happens to be where I get most of my kills. Supressive fire is a thing as well.
They're going to have to do something, even with the BAR.. half the time, I feel like I'm getting lucky through RNG. I should be able to prone up with a bipod, and do effective work.. especially with the MG15. I also hate that I'm stuck using that shitty optic with the version that has a bipod. Whats up with that? I want to be able to add and remove anything/everything from the guns.
Owni If they do that they need to change alot more than just the damage. at that points its a sniper rifle but with a faster firerate (ive already been supressed and killed by medics with scoped rifles, so id prefer at least 6 rounds in the rilfe and/or faster reload)
Grenade throw at 1:05 is awesome - dude flies out of the second story - looks great - gonna buy this game - Great videos bro- forget about the haters - you're much better than I'll ever be
Snipers are a little too powerful in this game, lets be real here. You can't run out of your spawn without running into 4 snipers' crossfire. Though this is accurate to a world war 1 type of battle it definitely doesn't play well if you're hoping to do more than get shot.
that's not entirely accurate, in real life they'd be using iron sights rather than scopes. Just because something is a bolt action rifle doesn't mean it's only for sniping, at least if there were less scopes in the game the people sitting in the hills shooting at you with rifles would have a tougher time aiming and would make long range firefights more interesting rather than just getting picked off right away.
I've been playing battlefield since Battlefield on ps2, I know snipers are powerful, and they very well should be. I am saying they are way too powerful in this one.
J Reid we haven't had any issues with snipers. Are you running around like CoD? In a squad you should have a medic, support, assault and maybe a couple recon. We use support guys to suppress and Harass with mortors and lmg fire. Our snipers counter snipe, and assault and medic flank and take their tags. simple. But everyone gets sniped sometime. It's part of fake war. deal with it and learn strategy.
additionally, it does not help that the Scout/Recon stereotype is some dude on a rock in the middle of nowhere although with classes besides the medic having piss poor long range options i will say that the Scout stereotype is at its most powerful in BF1, especially on fao fortress - a map that is hell for a support player like me.
Yeah but Battlepacks are pretty much only for cosmetics. I would be pissed if it was like previous games, but since it's only for skins and melee pieces, I'm okay with it. Hell, if they gave everybody them more often, more people would unlock everything and have no reason to get them anymore.
dude, it's bullshit. They need to change that in the first patch. I've played the ten hour trial and didn't get a single one. Im rank 19 now in the full game and I've still only gotten two or three.
Oh look. You're one of those that thinks you should get EVERYTHING handed to you. The Battlepacks are only cosmetic. Cool your jets and get over it. If you don't like it, move onto another game. No one is forcing you to play BF1. Personally, I like the Battlepack system in BF1. It makes me want to keep playing so I CAN get a Battlepack and gamble for something good. If you don't like it, don't play it. Quit complaining.
Hunter Johnson it is my opinion that I think you should get more than 2 battlepacks in ten hours but what do I know hunter knows everything and is the perfect gamer who never complains about anything.
Machine guns are vastly underpowered in this game. World War I machine guns fired some big ass bullets, yet it takes so many rounds to kill that I find it ridiculous. I literally lost almost every engagement when I used mg's. And I know it isn't my skill considering that I had an exceptional kdr in BF4, and in fps games in general.
John Rambo I think they did that to make them balanced against the single fire weapons. I use the Bar a lot and I lose a lot of close quarters engagements
Nike013 I believe they made them a bit too underpowered though. And they certainly gave way too much favor to the recon class. Overall I think they really ought to rebalance the entire game.
J Dawg YES. Hardcore has always been the definitive experience. I cant believe I wasted so much time playing Softcore... shooting at every nacho cheese dorito I saw.
After the TTK update the Huot is my favourite Support gun. I really like the BAR Storm (being my favourite gun before TTK update/second favourite after update), so the "lacking 26 round per drum" is an upgrade to me. Also after the TTK update, bipod play for the support class is meta and the bipod for the Huot just makes it that much better. To me it is the BAR Storm with 6 more bullets, more accuracy while prone, comparably close accuracy while standing and I think you should definitely give it a try. As for the 1906 Sebstlader, I love it and the Assault Hellreigel has gotten a massive recoil nerf and is less favourable to me then it once was. My opinions on the lvl 10 weapons I use.
I don't know what but there is something super satisfying about seen the symthik or whatever it is stats and graphs, I just love it please keep doing it I've loved it since bf3
XxKINGatLIFExX No. It was used in the Anglo Boere War where the Boers were fighting for land against zulu tribes. The battles happened all over South Africa. The Boers are also known traditionally as Voortrekkers.
Solid Serpent see maybe someday you will have children. Then, when you watch a video that doesnt swear youll be thankful you can watch it and not have to worry about them learning bad things.
It honestly has enough content, just dont compare the amount of weapons in this game to the amount in BF4 , since there were way too many weapons in that game. Most of them were either not worth using, or had basically the same stats as some of the other guns.
Yeah it is one of the disadvantages of making a game around this time I guess. However, it's like I've been playing with the Assault class for ages as I'm level 10 and have used all SMGs available for that class and is kind of bland.
I'm not denying that it has enough content; because it does. Like, the behemoths etc. in the game alone provide sufficient enough content already. Just in the area of weapons, I feel like there could be more content as if you removed all the different variants of the weapons in the shop, you'd have like 5-6 weapons per class.
Level I was playing an operation game and the giant hot air balloon was taken out almost instantly when it was deployed… is this a glitch or is it possible to it out
The support weapon is actually called the Huot - Ross Automatic Rifle (historic name for the weapon) which was a Canadian modded Enfield SMLE .303. developed by Joseph Huot. It weighs 13 lbs empty or 19 lbs fully loaded, It was designed with a 25 round drum magazine to be used as an infantry support weapon for the Canadian Expeditionary Force. YOU are correct on the slow rate of fire, at 475 cyclic. But the base weapon it was designed from was a bolt action rifle that they made a gas system and a blow back bolt to turn it into fully auto. In all it was designed to have the punch of a Vickers in ballistics but in a single man portable size. The trade off is magazine capacity. Lugging around a magazine that weighs 6 lbs loaded (and trying to carry multiple of them) can become a major weight issue. Let alone the magazines were pretty large in physical size, since the .303 is a 56mm length case plus projectile (entire cartridge length with bullet is about 76.65mm in total). I can understand you are doing a review of the weapons from a purely game perspective. However, I do suggest look up the history of each weapon so you can appreciate what they were developed for and their intended uses. Other than that I did like your vid and will give it a thumbs up =)
65Reidlos false. support tears it up. the BAR is the closest thing to a bf4 style assult rifle and will probably be one of the most popular guns in the game. support is way better then in BF4, its the only class that has automatic weapons with any kind of range
thier very good weapons but I found my self getting rekt by thier low damage low fire rate most lmgs have in this game, best one is probably the MG15 Storm in my opinion.
I agree with Ben Veasey. BF4 had a ton of weapons but I only saw like 10 of them ever really being used. 28 weapons is enough for the base game. DLC will add much more down the line.
Some of them might be coming in DLC, though i get your point. I was amazed about the assault class having 2 smg's (not counting the hellriegel). If you look on wikipedia, there are about 10+ guns average used by factions that are already in the game (per class and not counting pistols).
All you people saying he doesn't revive his mates as a medic, on this video he is focusing on the kills because he needs to show the weapon (it's literally what the video is about)
Levelcap Logic: "MORTARS ARE OVERPOWERED!" (they take 3 shots to kill you) "MARTINI IS NOT OVERPOWERED!" (can 1 shot you if it hits your toe) Another awesome video Level, keep up the amazing common sense!
i like bf1 a lot, i really do. i just worry that the new system of variants will make the game feel dry faster. and i know it is world war 1 so there arent that many weapons they can add, but it just sucks to go from having like 8 of each class of guns in bf4 to maybe 4-5 in bf1. it is very fun right now though, so i guess thats all that matters
bf4 weapons were pretty much the same though. the m416, cz805, m16, ace 23 all filled the exact same role. so basically bf4 had only like 3 weapons a class with reskins of those 3 weapons.
Marinated Pasta no they didnt hardly change any of the weapons they only reduced the damage done by 1 point and made higher rate of fre weapons gain more spread quicker then slow rof weapons where as previously they all gained spread equally as fast making the higher rate of fire weapons of bf4 launch the only weapon to choose.
for a Historic point of reference. The Martini Henry is pretty much shooting a 12 slug at rifle ranges The Martini Henry uses a .577/450 Boxer-Henry bullet/ The 400m/second is accurate for the bullet speed. That bullet is a mid range mac truck in real life (480 grain bullet). IT doesn't penetrate but the slow speed makes it so the entire slug dumps all energy into the body with no pass through (hence the good sweet spot in the game). Also keep in mind that bullet was designed during the British-ZULU era of 1871
if you want to level up your classes quickly, use or find a squad with a squad xp boost and request orders to capture objectives, capture the objectives and you'll receive over 1000 xp, which will help out your class ranking, i recommend playing operations.
I destroyed entire groups of people with the mg4+bipod in Bf4... What was wrong with the bipods? Sometimes they wouldnt deploy in certain places but they worked 95% of the time.
The bipod was only useful in bf4 very very rarely and a major liability all the rest of the time. In BF4 you were far too vulnerable to getting flanked and left your noggin pointed straight at the enemies, so and return fire that connected with you was headshot city. I didn't find using an attachment that could reduce my opponents time to kill to be useful very often.
I mean fucking hell dude he is already a level 53 And yeah "which ones you don't want to waste your warbonds on" yeah I don't think warbonds are a problem I think its the TIME
Silver Ingot I have a full time job and a pregnant fiance I spend a lot of time with and I'm a level 46 i believe. lol it's either 45 or 46. one of them.
I DON'T GET IT! All I see for each rank -is that it has duplicates of the SAME Goddamn 3 weapons! Wtf is that?? They all look the same, but one is light an reloads fast and one isn't. Is this a joke?
eladbari I feel the same man, I bought this game day one and have hardly touched it. I come back to it because I keep telling myself that there must be something I'm missing about this game, but the truth is the weapons suck and there's so few of them. Look at BF4, such a better game.
Max Skogh About 80 in bf4 and like 24 in bf1 look at the difference. 40-50 would be good. Filling up the screen with one weapon that has 4 types of sights, F that!
FuckingKillMe It's a 3-year game. Ever thought of that? Even when they add 20 weapons, it won't be enough. Maybe they're trying to force us to buying their next Battlefield game out of boredom...
I think your not understanding when there was like fucking 100 weapons in bf4 it was unbalanced like fuck but in bf1 it's really good and balanced I like it the way it is and later on they will add a couple weapons that still maintains the balance
Yeah the Bar M1918 Storm probably the best LMG I'm actually gonna unlock the Huot today to try it but my bar has done me well with over 800 kills so far
It's worth noting that some (if not all) of the DLC weapons will probably be rank 10 or above, so even besides the benefit of being versatile, it's worth leveling up classes even if you're not a fan of it's current primary weapon offerings. There might be a rank 12 unlock for a class in DLC that finally makes it viable for you, but instead of being rank 10 in all four classes, you're rank 40 in your favorite class and rank zero in the other three.
Is a game problems. Is a sensitive issued about pressure being applied to the trigger. I couldn't shoot the flamethrower sometimes. Of course people will blame the controller instead of telling the developer to fix the fucking issue. This the only game where I seem this kind of problem.
Seriously, in the Beta, they said they emphasised that there would be a fair amount of customization, now, I wasn't expecting loads, but the customization is a load of crap! I wouldn't call adding the option to remove the bayonet proper customization, neither would I "Sight magnification" - those two are literally the only modifications you can do to most of the guns (excluding camouflages). The fact that you get knife pieces in battle packs (I don't value battle packs as much at all on BF1 as I did on BF4 - You only get camouflages) does show a bit of lack of content. I think some parts of Battlefield 1 are great, the knife combat is incredible and I always die trying to knife people because it's more satisfying rather then when I should probably shoot them. The Single player was a little disappointing but the missions that I did do were as fun as hell. I overall think that Battlefield 1 is slightly lacking in content, but it's definitely not a Star Wars Battlefront situation. I'm definitely disappointed with the customization though, I didn't expect loads of customization but I haven't found 1 gun yet which I can actually fit a actual scope onto it. Having 2 Iron Sights doesn't really count as valid customization either in my books.
fun facts: the martini-henry fired a massive 480-500grain .45 caliber bullet at 1300-1400fps. for the 1870s that was a hard hitting freight train. the forever favorite .45-70 got to about 1300fps with a 405gr bullet.
Honestly I think the class 10 Medic weapon is one of the best. It's the most accurate, most stable, and has insane fire rate compared to the others but it holds the accuracy very very well. If they gave this thing 10 rounds instead of 5, I'd use it non stop.
As a player who enjoys and prefers a heightened level of gameplay in terms of realism and tactical situations, I enjoy the 5-Round clip for it. For me it gives a more critical thinking aspectto using it in the sense of picking your shots wisely and using your 5 rounds as accurately as possible. Though as an aggressive player in close quarters, I find myself caught with my pants down because I'm reloading to get those rounds back and reengage my target. Like I said earlier it really does improve accuracy and making every shot you fire count. And you have to play a very tactical style to be able to fire off your rounds, cover and reload, and reengage to stay alive for extended periods of time. And using these tactics I've made quite a bit of leeway with it and have had times where I went on some pretty awesome killstreaks with it. And to add the amount of reserve ammo you get is pretty sweet as I've completely run out of ammo a handful of times in the 60 some odd hours I've played.
ive literally played 20 hours including the 10h free trial and im 21. Ranking is so easy considering the amount of points you get for capturing a flag now.
The BattleTuber if youre good at playing the game tou can get here fast......and no i have a life so dont compare me with those nerd......its fairly fast if youre really good like me at the game
By not sucking I guess. I barely have gotten any time to play since launch, just late at night and in the morning for a few hours and im rank 28. I have a girlfriend and a job. Capturing flags on conquest seems to be the quickest way.
The Huot should honestly have more damage per shot. It was built as a bolt action to fully automatic rifle conversion for the Canadians. In testing for the British , the Huot performed better than the Lewis gun by a huge margin, and it was meant to replace the Lewis gun, but the war ended by the time trials ended.
I'm lvl 49 right now. All classes (except assault) are 10 or higher. And I already saw few other guys who are 49-52 The game's been out for a week now so I don't see why you're so surprised. p.s. To all BF1 players out there: *Revive and spam the fnkg medkits and ammo whenever you see your teammate!* Thank you. ;-)
Alex Pack Actually all that lvling was done after work during the night time (I was just playing the game, not trying to reach 50+ lvl). I'm just an old BF fan who was waiting for Battlefield like this one. Sorry for not insulting you back, got better things to do. ;-)
Lmgs are a joke they do so little damage they over heat after shooting 30 rounds they have terrible rate of fire ...just get destroyed in close quatres by shotguns and smgs .. medium range where it should excel at gets beaten by rifles and in long range the snipers are your death sentence. .. not to mention terrible spread lmgs need a change need to do more damage.
Thank goodness I watched this video first before I decided to get the lvl 10 gun on medic. I just saved myself a ton of war bonds. I will now subscribe to this channel
John Locke Nah, he helped. LC was calling it Selb-Stuh-Lader. Selbst is a single word meaning "self" in German, Selbstlader being "self-loading". The 'st' is pronounced just like in "best", "west", "nest", etc.
they really need to nerf that sniper you unlock at level 10. It's so stupid. Nerf them all if you idc I'm just tired of these scrubs camping getting 1 shot kills.
its not bout playing properly its about balance. and this game is un balanced. you act like this is supposed to be realistics. well realisticly sweet spots dont make sense and neither does the time to kill on most guns haha. the fact that there is no way to counter a average sniper at the right range is so stupid. you cant even take cover because you are getting one shotted. i have never had a sniper fuck up my k/d ratio like in this game.
Medic is my favorite class. So when I saw the lvl 10 weapon when you reviewed it, I got a little disapointed. What they should do is make the mag bigger
since the selbstlader 1906 has 5 bullets per round and takes 3 bullets to kill someone and you need to reload everytime unless you headshot why don't dice make a extended version which is where they add more bullets
Hey Levelcap what's your thoughts on having a fire blanket to prevent players from catching on fire? The exchange would be that raising your gun would be slower
Comes out tomorrow for us mortals. Unfortunately I have exams and therefore as a good student (heh), I will be waiting till the end of next week. Its gonna be a looooonggggggg 7 days
I graduated this year, so I have nothing to do but play bf1 until I get a job lol

He didnt mention the Kolibri.
Its literally the most humiliating thing you can die from in battlefield.
(even more than gas grenades)
Capt Trdl no kolibri is much worse
Matthew Love Running at a tank with C4 only to realise you have claymores equipped...
Matthew Love I get them 90-99 hitmarkers with the marteni then finish with the kolibri
Neither of those exist in BF1 Titanspirit
Capt Trdl the only thing close is getting killed with the repair tool or the medic syringe.
They should add a greater plume of smoke for the Martini-Henry
TinnedTommy It would 'nerf' the gun because it would blind you, putting the down the people who scream about how 'OP' it is, but it would also make it look cool as hell... Do it for the Gasser and the Bodeo and we black powder now.
Absolutely.
They could make the smoke dissapear pretty quickly. Enough so that by the time you reload it is gone. It could also disrupt peoples vision indoors. I think that would be a pretty awesome mechanic.
How often can you nerf a weapon by making it cooler? Win win if you ask me.
It's been nerfed so that will just make it worse
I got an infinite warfare ad on a battlefield 1 video......wtf

You got that from Merc Music didn't you Havel
Havel The Rock u going to make this comment everytime you see 'op'?
Fetty Chow Yeah

I've been playing a lot and honestly think we don't have enough weapons or attachments...
stefan speidel I agree... 2 fucking sights for every weapon except pistols... srsly? dice, plz
stefan speidel well I mean in the actual war you couldn't choose a weapon, you had your country's primary bolt action rifle and officers got handguns.
Wow
stefan speidel it's world war 1. What do you expect? Full on customization of every single thing?
the henry should be over powered. does anyone that complains even know the round it shoots? its a damn elephant gun haha. .577/450
Rye Bread love the RussianBadger quote haha
That monster is 2 or 3 times bigger than a 7.62x39
Lol If I ever squad up with level cap, I'm making sure he's not the medic. He only focuses on kills and doesn't revive
CringeSandwich hes a pretty useless medic
CringeSandwich you do know that you have to kill the person that killed your first Before you revive or you both die dumbass
Lol he said that the starting gun (cei riggoti) is the worst medic gun and is very hard to use like what the fuck. the gun is way more stable than a mondragon or a selbstlader m1916. the automatic fire mode is so good for close range. its awesome for close-medium range.
Cosmic Crybaby are you talking about the mg15?
this may sound dumb, but I mainly use some of the weapons in this game for aesthetic reasons, for instance m favorite gun to use us the g.98 infantry variant because I just think it looks sexy.
It not dumb most of the guns act the same.
Yeah, during the beta each time I played support, I had to use that machine gun with magazine on the side that goes to the opposite side as you shoot, can't remember the name. But it was just so cool.
+The Lizard Wizard I do believe you're referring to the M1909 Benet-Mercie.
Chris Jordan yea I've been using the Bar only because I recognized it from the old WW2 games. I lose a lot of close quarters fights but idc, it's the Bar
Nike013 The BAR is basicaly a assault rifle.
so lets see if the Martini-Henry is op
Positives- real nice one-shot kill sweetspot and bad ass look and sound.
Negatives- low bullet velocity, reload after everyshot and iron sights only.
the people that say it is op are the salty kids being killed by it
Anthony Gables tbh it rewards good shots, not op.
+a macdonald yes and it is also a skill weapon
Anthony Gables in a way it's the knockout from hardline
+AFKN sorry i never played that pixelated battlefield
yes its a bit op but that with skill cuz u cant zoom far in and muzzle is bad so in mid situations it can be good not op
I've done a few things as scout, but just as luck and panic in a cqb situation.
the fact that scout is useless against armor is a pretty big nerf by itself.
I think scout is good but it still annoys me how I can shoot a sniper rifle at someone in the chest sometimes and they are fine. Also it is very difficult to switch from your rifle to pistol quickly like in bf4. Now it seems you either go for the kill with the rifle or your pistol because most of the time you can't try both
Every level 10 class blows beside the assault, 60 round mag with exceptional recoil, at least that's my opinion
qwerty the scouts is pretty good
Mackin Cheezy Gaming the martini-henry is a fun weapon to use in tdm
the martini henry is ok
The Martini Henry and hellriegel are the only good rank 10 guns
Clought martini Henry was good, before the debuff
0:16 did you close that barn door to increase your visibility in the barn, or did you actually know that fucker was throwing a grenade and subsequently SHUT THE FUCKING DOOR ON THE GRENADE THEREBY BOUNCING THE GRENADE OUT OF THE BARN?
thats what i was thinking
Probably just lucky timing.
I'm dead 😂😂
Yr a wizard harry
Oh my God THEY ADDED A LUGER RIFLE!!! I know it kinda sucks hard, but IT'S A LUGER. FUCKING. RIFLE. A TOGGLE. LOCK. RIFLE.
Vernon682 the P06, sexy as fuck.
Vernon682 If you are interested Forgotten Weapons did a wonderful shot video on toggle lock rifles
Japback13 Ian is gun Jesus for a reason, love forgotten weapons.
Vernon682 and it looks like a garand. That makes it instantly the best dmr in my opinion.
That rifle was just tasty looking; I want to unlock it just so I can look at it
I think the weapon selection is kind of lacking in each class personally
I agree. It lacks diversity.
It's gonna be like hardline, there will be somewhat too little amount of guns at launch but by the time all the dlc's roll through we'll have plenty.
(Personally I think the only issue with bf1 rn is lack of weapons and lack of customization)
+Caden Yancey agreed. Bf1 could use some attachments, maybe more iron sights, supressors, grips or something.
+Bas Kempers you guys are joking right?
Bas Kempers nope
Not modern weapon
hell even WWII dont have
Did i just see level 53 rank up, woah that was fast, just shows this game is fucking too good and non-stop enjoyable.....
great gameplay as always
xFactor is like 80 or something lol
Just played with lvl 58 guy. o.O
madzaisa some RUclipsr is rank 87
Well, it is his job to play DICE's games. I mean, he played a ton of Hardline but thought it was hot diarrhea, so he doesn't necessarily like this game just because he plays it a lot.
I made it level 33 in two days. I still have a life but the game is addicting.
so why isn't there like level 6, 7, 8, or 9, guns. Am i missing something or does it feel like there is less weapons and items to work towards then pervious titles? Wont this get old eventually
Detective K yah and its stupid that y gun with a sight on it now is considered a different gun. no thats an attachment like wtf
Would there even be enough guns from ww1 to have that many in the game though?
MyLifeWastedOnBf2 I'm sure there is.
the game is already is using a lot of if not all experimental weapons from the time and borderline anachronistic weapons. so yeah, at the time, there were not a lot of options. im sure they will release more exotic weapons but by default of the time period there's not a lot of wiggle room.
vice6996 really I'm gonna look that up right now
For the medic, there is also another gun that has the same stats (according to in-game stats). The Selbstlaber M1916. The only difference between both would be: optical options and mag size.
The Sniper Class isn't OP. It's a WW1 game, so bolt actions are supposed to be good (at the distance they are meant for). In Modern Combat games, assault rifles are supposed to be good. If anybody doesnt like the bolt actions in WW1 games, go play BFBC, BFBC2, BF3, BF4, BFH etc etc.
iqvan007 exactly what i thought
iqvan007 setting has absolutely nothing to do with balance
Stickbo yes it does
And if you dont like that people call something OP then close your browser and delete Windows.
Supressive fire is a thing as well.
buetang Once I got used to the mechanics I was destroying with any support gun I used
They're going to have to do something, even with the BAR.. half the time, I feel like I'm getting lucky through RNG. I should be able to prone up with a bipod, and do effective work.. especially with the MG15. I also hate that I'm stuck using that shitty optic with the version that has a bipod. Whats up with that? I want to be able to add and remove anything/everything from the guns.
Maybe if they made the Medic level 10 gun a 2 shot kill it would make more sense.
Owni with higher recoil, of course
higher recoil wouldn't be necessary at all.
Owni If they do that they need to change alot more than just the damage. at that points its a sniper rifle but with a faster firerate (ive already been supressed and killed by medics with scoped rifles, so id prefer at least 6 rounds in the rilfe and/or faster reload)
For that small amount of ammo, the reload speed takes FOREVER
NarrowStone
J Reid use smoke grenades my friend
J Reid Welcome to battlefield. Snipers have always been powerful in this game, just learn to use cover and you'll be fine.
That smug you have looks insanely OP!
*smg
Paladin its the best gun in the game haha
The Scout/Recon classes have always been called OP. I beg to differ, people only call the class over powered because they can't use it.
That statement is retarded.
additionally, it does not help that the Scout/Recon stereotype is some dude on a rock in the middle of nowhere
although with classes besides the medic having piss poor long range options i will say that the Scout stereotype is at its most powerful in BF1, especially on fao fortress - a map that is hell for a support player like me.
Salt Detected
I know, Right.
I am a support player aswell by the way.
Worst argument ever...
Im a pretty good sniper myself and I think theyre pretty OP. (No bragging intended)
Who has ever called Recon OP in BF3 or BF4? xD
Clearly Assault was the one and only class, except to kill vehicles.
Does anyone know what guns I will unlock once I reach Level Cap ;)
Ohohoh I see what You Did there ;]
BulletGen shut up
Kaleb Cat Why don't You?
pixelking waarom zie ik je nu overal?
Luuk_vdb haha xD...ik ben een meme aant worden >:]
5:08 lvl cap approves this kill.
It seems the whole game is full of nerfed weapons.
patrick guerriero dude are you kidding? the Medic class is OP as hell
thats why you play hardcore mode in BF games
To me the medic and recon are the only playable classes. Otherwise I'm spending a mag and my sidearm on an enemy. But I have to play hardcore lol.
MyLifeWastedOnBf2 There is no hardcore mode in BF2
Bad company?
Left COD for BF1 and I was looking for a good BF channel. Thanks. Subscribed.
welcome to the club ;)
WELCOME! just remember to drop packs, PTFO and no 360 no scopes
Not a problem. See you out there
Does anyone else rarely get battlepacks??
I only got 2 in my 10 hour trail in early access
Yeah but Battlepacks are pretty much only for cosmetics. I would be pissed if it was like previous games, but since it's only for skins and melee pieces, I'm okay with it. Hell, if they gave everybody them more often, more people would unlock everything and have no reason to get them anymore.
dude, it's bullshit. They need to change that in the first patch. I've played the ten hour trial and didn't get a single one. Im rank 19 now in the full game and I've still only gotten two or three.
I have to wait until midnight to play so hopefully I get some more then
Overall I think they really ought to rebalance the entire game.
i like the lmg's they are amazing at defense against waves of enemy squads
John Rambo that's why core is fucking terrible. Can't wait for hardcore.
J Dawg YES. Hardcore has always been the definitive experience. I cant believe I wasted so much time playing Softcore... shooting at every nacho cheese dorito I saw.
I am done with the ouija Ads
Brisk Zeus who isnt 😂
ad block ftw, not a single ad in moths
+YoungWildBoy me
Wblester Santiago levelcap wont make money tho, its very antiyoutuber
you think that is bad now it is just rings and get out
After the TTK update the Huot is my favourite Support gun. My opinions on the lvl 10 weapons I use.
lmgs need a buff anyone else agree?
Wheel hell no, every nerd uses lmgs all the time. They are strong enough as it is
Jon B disagree
LMGs are really good in bf1, as long as you aren't in a 5-10m firefight and you shoot first you always win. I love them in bf1
they don't really need a buff, as the guy above mentioned, if you know what you're doing, then they are completely fine.
Wheel A very small buff maybe. Once you learn how to use the lmgs correctly they are really good
dude you're such a bad medic you play like an assault class and don't stay with your team to revive them lol
VQPower35 I saw that also
VQPower35 Because he is a level 10 medic. There isn't to much to level up for.
trollzeyz but to play for
Pyrde2 He doesn't have to play is job. Although sometimes he has a chance to revive somebody and doesn't do it, which is pretty annoying.
lol I play medic and I always get the most kills but I still revive plenty of people
What about the cavalry, tanker and pilot classes?
Nice analysis of these different guns. These guns really make one give some serious thought to which one they're gonna use.
I don't know what but there is something super satisfying about seen the symthik or whatever it is stats and graphs, I just love it please keep doing it I've loved it since bf3
1 shot kill rifle... Thanks DICE we definitely need one of those...
The Martini -Henery Rifle, was used in the Battle of Rorke's Drift, was it not?
XxKINGatLIFExX No. It was used in the Anglo Boere War where the Boers were fighting for land against zulu tribes. The battles happened all over South Africa. The Boers are also known traditionally as Voortrekkers.
Yes, it was. It was used throughout the Zulu War and the Boer Wars. I don't know what the fuck the other guy was talking about.
thanks for the always keeping your videos swearing free. its appreciated.
no it's fucking not
Vanity Legend fuckin A
Solid Serpent see maybe someday you will have children. Then, when you watch a video that doesnt swear youll be thankful you can watch it and not have to worry about them learning bad things.
Joe Fricchione that is a fair point that I can respect.
I use the Madsen LMG and I love it. I've grown so accustomed to the straight standing magazine that I literally can't use anything else.
You didn't go over the level 10 tanker and pilot weapons
Hopefully they release more weapons as DLC as the game progresses. I feel like I know all the weapons and I'm only level 21...
That's the only flaw I can find in the game right now, it feels like if it had more weapon content, it would be a complete game.
Thats why i wanted another 1942 game. =/
Level I was playing an operation game and the giant hot air balloon was taken out almost instantly when it was deployed… is this a glitch or is it possible to it out
is flood zone on Battlefield 4 considered a close-quarters map or a vehicle map?
Colin Beirne there's two LAVs and a handful of boats, it's an infantry map
U can't call it an infantry map when there is heli shooting at you in the air and tanks in the ground
Jasper Q.B its not vehicle dominated like other maps where you can't move through the fear of constant bombardment from every vehicle in the game
Well that's true
I only really use AA sights with my lmgs, except for the BAR, since you get a clear view of where you're aiming
Other than that I did like your vid and will give it a thumbs up =)
supports gun suck across the board. the whole class gets the shaft, but nothing New, happened in bf3 and bf4, we are no strangers to nerfs
65Reidlos Once you get used to the guns you can destroy people with the lmgs
65Reidlos false. support tears it up. the BAR is the closest thing to a bf4 style assult rifle and will probably be one of the most popular guns in the game. support is way better then in BF4, its the only class that has automatic weapons with any kind of range
The BAR has an amazing sound to it, doesn't it? I was kinda shocked at how powerful the firing tone it had was.
65Reidlos I ripped people a new one with the MG4 in BF4
thier very good weapons but I found my self getting rekt by thier low damage low fire rate most lmgs have in this game, best one is probably the MG15 Storm in my opinion.
is anyone else sightly worried at the number of weapon there are. I mean, if you're not counting the different presets there's only 28 weapons :/
Rambo_Lambo_Bear I had the same thought. I mean... you have to stick to historical accuracy but I completely agree. I don't want to get bored of it :(
I'd honestly rather have 28 really unique weapons than 42 fairly similar guns.
They didnt add french and russian weapon they keep them for dlc.
If you look on wikipedia, there are about 10+ guns average used by factions that are already in the game (per class and not counting pistols).
medic level10 should do 45 damage art all ranges. it should also have am extremely fast model velocity
And you should have better grammar. And a buff is 45 isn't going to do much since it's still a 3 shot kill.
A Vietnamese Gai He said at all ranges, aka he wants it to have no damage drop off
Cablecar18 Oh.
Liam Taylor it is 800 m/s which is already bolt action status as far as velocity goes
Model velocity
All you people saying he doesn't revive his mates as a medic, on this video he is focusing on the kills because he needs to show the weapon (it's literally what the video is about)
Levelcap Logic:
"MORTARS ARE OVERPOWERED!" (they take 3 shots to kill you)
"MARTINI IS NOT OVERPOWERED!" (can 1 shot you if it hits your toe)
Another awesome video Level, keep up the amazing common sense!
selbstlader marksman my favorite
Andrew Kappler i just got it looks decent might get the optical also for cqc and mid range maps
Fnaf Sucks Try the Autoloading 8 extended
I now prefer the selbstlader optical lol
Nah mondragon sniper is the best medic rifle
ReconBeast 2 That is your opinion. Just remember that it's your opinion, and not a fact.
Why is there no Browning M1917, Hotchkiss, or Maxim Gun for the support class
Sergei Vloshkov DLC sadly
pretty sure the maxim gun is a mounted gun.
There's a M1917 in Turning Tides and Benet Mercie
i like bf1 a lot, i really do. i just worry that the new system of variants will make the game feel dry faster. and i know it is world war 1 so there arent that many weapons they can add, but it just sucks to go from having like 8 of each class of guns in bf4 to maybe 4-5 in bf1. it is very fun right now though, so i guess thats all that matters
and there are more features like vehicle classes you can customize.... as well as i think all the maps are amazing
bf4 weapons were pretty much the same though. the m416, cz805, m16, ace 23 all filled the exact same role. so basically bf4 had only like 3 weapons a class with reskins of those 3 weapons.
they should add more lever action rifles
Agerix Official at launch the stats of the ars differed much more than they do now. each one felt different but DICE LA lost that for balance
The Martini Henry is pretty much shooting a 12 slug at rifle ranges
The Martini Henry uses a .577/450 Boxer-Henry bullet/ The 400m/second is accurate for the bullet speed.
Good review...recon class looks good. Does the support class have a bipod on some of the guns?
Paul GC9 yup. and the bipod is actually really good situationally, unlike bf4
I destroyed entire groups of people with the mg4+bipod in Bf4... What was wrong with the bipods? Sometimes they wouldnt deploy in certain places but they worked 95% of the time.
Peter mercil i had good times with my bipod in BF4
The bipod was only useful in bf4 very very rarely and a major liability all the rest of the time. In BF4 you were far too vulnerable to getting flanked and left your noggin pointed straight at the enemies, so and return fire that connected with you was headshot city. I didn't find using an attachment that could reduce my opponents time to kill to be useful very often.
Peter mercil Im sorry but it soundslike you just dont know how to position yourself correctly. I have literally gone 60-0 with the RPK-12 in bf4.
Ok either levelcap is sitting on his ass for 24 hours a day playing this game or he is letting every single one of his friends play it for him
I mean fucking hell dude he is already a level 53
And yeah "which ones you don't want to waste your warbonds on" yeah I don't think warbonds are a problem I think its the TIME
I saw a lvl 70 something the otherday...
He's a big youtuber I'm sure they're playing all day, it's smart, and ive seen a level 80 so its nopt that crazy
Silver Ingot I have a full time job and a pregnant fiance I spend a lot of time with and I'm a level 46 i believe. lol it's either 45 or 46. one of them.
Silver Ingot I play only on weekends, but I'm a lvl 46 already.
How are u past level 50 already with all these level 10 class weapons already
ptfo
***** games been out for three days dude, if you haven't reached rank ten with at least one class you are doing something wrong.
+Hallam1965 shortcut kits...
I'm using the BAR Storm as support and it's tons of fun, so satisfying
9:48 is their kello citty on ur weapon?
Would this be a good Christmas gift?
Thanks.
Vault-Tec Rep For any gamer yes.
Vault-Tec Rep yes sir
extremely
***** You're a little bit late.....
the medic lvl 10 gun LOOKS SO COOL im so sad its that bad....if it was any beter i would use it only for the looks...
no more online server Is out..wtf only play singel player now...
It’s using that same kind of joint-bending slide/bolt that the Luger pistol uses. There’s something incredibly satisfying about the way it works
ReaIDeaI1 i actually start to believe that BF3 is even better... :] seriously...
King was BF2, for sure.
bf4 was complete and utter wank compared to this gem
Madlad Junoir dunno how to explain why BF4 was shit.,.but it was worse, indeed.
I can just start with that stupid Battlelog browser crap...gosh..
eladbari i got it after i played the beta and it was complete trash, so many things wrong with the game without mentioning the dreadful campaign
Keep making these videos level!!!!! I always love them
Can we just appreciate LevelCap's gamertag when he was using the Martini-Henry.
THERE IS NOT ENOUGH WEAPONS!! What a let down
They did that on purpose, mate. They didnt want to make it a complete fuck fest of weapons and make it impossible to choose
the community complain when theres lots of weapons like in bf4 and now community complain when theres fewer. Some are hard to please.
I think your not understanding when there was like fucking 100 weapons in bf4 it was unbalanced like fuck but in bf1 it's really good and balanced I like it the way it is and later on they will add a couple weapons that still maintains the balance
support is a bit of a let down for a level 10 gun. 27 round drum? that's it...
chris d Pick up the bar it's an awesome gun
Bar? do you have the specific name?
Jasper Q.B It's called the B.A.R or browning automatic rifle
Yeah the Bar M1918 Storm probably the best LMG I'm actually gonna unlock the Huot today to try it but my bar has done me well with over 800 kills so far
KingEpicGaming let me know what you think of the huot. I'm still grinding for it. Just hope it's worth it.
They better not nerf the martini. That would end me.
Or lee Enfield
Yolo Swaggins I must be mistaken but there is no Lee Enfield?
The SMLE is an Enfield, I assume the LE part of SMLE stands for Lee Enfield
Håkon Andreas Olaussen oh had no idea
Yolo Swaggins why because you cant headshot or because your trash
the 2nd mission of Through Mud and Blood has lots of weapon variants not seen in MP, one of which is a Huot Optical
I used the Lawrence of arabia sniper on ps4 yesterday and the gun wouldnt shoot... is anyone else having this problem?
hmmm was the safety on?
KvnS S lol
Jameo360 the fk u want them to do? Add laser sights and shit? It's world war 1. There isn't exactly much freedom for customization
I facepalmed at the martini-henry downsides
I think the martini is actually the best
Thijmen Bleijenburg they're all valid points though.
Screw the downsides, the sound alone makes it the best gun.
fun facts: the martini-henry fired a massive 480-500grain .45 caliber bullet at 1300-1400fps. for the 1870s that was a hard hitting freight train. the forever favorite .45-70 got to about 1300fps with a 405gr bullet.
It was also a black powder smoothbore and therefore you couldn't hit shit with it
Honestly I think the class 10 Medic weapon is one of the best.
Levelcap you forgot the nerf that the martini-henry had gotten making the gun almost making it not worth people's time
but this is from october
Federico Eiriz oh....nvm then
haha
ur right though i dont even use the martini anymore
Federico Eiriz I still have my Lee Enfield tho ;P
Does anyone think it takes way too long to get to rank 10 for classes?
Landon Kirby git gud scrub
play operations
How can people already be level 30 or more. Dont They got Reallife or something?
maybe when its your job to play battlefield like lvlvcap
ive literally played 20 hours including the 10h free trial and im 21. Ranking is so easy considering the amount of points you get for capturing a flag now.
Silus Jackson im lvl 20 at 14 hrs lol
The BattleTuber if youre good at playing the game tou can get here fast......and no i have a life so dont compare me with those nerd......its fairly fast if youre really good like me at the game
By not sucking I guess. I barely have gotten any time to play since launch, just late at night and in the morning for a few hours and im rank 28.
I have a girlfriend and a job.
Capturing flags on conquest seems to be the quickest way.
The Huot should honestly have more damage per shot. It was built as a bolt action to fully automatic rifle conversion for the Canadians. In testing for the British , the Huot performed better than the Lewis gun by a huge margin, and it was meant to replace the Lewis gun, but the war ended by the time trials ended.
low weight is probably referring to the fact you do not have to steady with a bi pod and is easier to carry, unlike most MGs at that time
"the sound of the martini - henry is amazing" *doesnt demo sound in video*
facepalm
I don't understand how he can have level 10 shit right now, I've been playing nonstop and have only level 2 medic and scout. Wtf.
I'm lvl 49 right now. All classes (except assault) are 10 or higher.
And I already saw few other guys who are 49-52
The game's been out for a week now so I don't see why you're so surprised.
p.s. To all BF1 players out there: *Revive and spam the fnkg medkits and ammo whenever you see your teammate!* Thank you. ;-)
suineg1 you really, really need to go outside and get a life
Alex Pack
Actually all that lvling was done after work during the night time (I was just playing the game, not trying to reach 50+ lvl).
I'm just an old BF fan who was waiting for Battlefield like this one.
Sorry for not insulting you back, got better things to do. ;-)
Also there was a class rank bug which was fixed today.
Game has not been out for a week. And nice Job on playing the big guy not insulting back you truly do deserve a medal.
NIKOLAI alexlandrov they will fix those issues in ww2 dont worry.
Alper Öcal needs to be modern day
we already have that in BF3, BF4 and Hardline
NIKOLAI alexlandrov Fuck off, go play BF4
I typically use the Mecenrie Storm (Or whatever it is, 30round LMG with iron sights on left side) Or the Lews gun suppressive and tear ass with them both. This is WW1. People didn't run around carrying LMG's typically. they were stationed on narrow corridors of trenches or sharp turns. Which just happens to be where I get most of my kills. Supressive fire is a thing as well.
Thank goodness I watched this video first before I decided to get the lvl 10 gun on medic. I just saved myself a ton of war bonds. I will now subscribe to this channel
scout class: finally, we are useful!
levelcap: it would be a shame if I labeled you as... overpowered....
Medic gun is pronounced Selbst-Lader.
thanks for the help
You just spelled the word again...
Jacques Cilliers you literally helped zero on pronouncing the name
guys, gif is pronounced "gif"
John Locke Nah, he helped. LC was calling it Selb-Stuh-Lader. Selbst is a single word meaning "self" in German, Selbstlader being "self-loading". The 'st' is pronounced just like in "best", "west", "nest", etc.
they really need to nerf that sniper you unlock at level 10. It's so stupid. Nerf them all if you idc I'm just tired of these scrubs camping getting 1 shot kills.
Telesto Infinity quit crying
Camping... I swear the next CoD kid who tells me I'm playing the scout class wrong by camping should seriously consider getting IW instead.
Wait so snipers are actually correctly playing their role? What madness is this?
its not bout playing properly its about balance. and this game is un balanced. you act like this is supposed to be realistics. well realisticly sweet spots dont make sense and neither does the time to kill on most guns haha. the fact that there is no way to counter a average sniper at the right range is so stupid. you cant even take cover because you are getting one shotted. i have never had a sniper fuck up my k/d ratio like in this game.
Which is what the great war is like, I am sorry you don't know how to take cover.
Medic is my favorite class. So when I saw the lvl 10 weapon when you reviewed it, I got a little disapointed. What they should do is make the mag bigger
The martini Henry is overpowered if you like a gree (1 like 10 people get the martini Henry)
since the selbstlader 1906 has 5 bullets per round and takes 3 bullets to kill someone and you need to reload everytime unless you headshot why don't dice make a extended version which is where they add more bullets
Hey Levelcap what's your thoughts on having a fire blanket to prevent players from catching on fire? The exchange would be that raising your gun would be slower
I like levelcap so much because he actually knows about guns in real life as well.
For support the gun with the least ammo is the BAR and you can get up to about 3 kills with one 20 round mag
really liking the iron sights/sights design on these guns
You should make a video on the best vehicle layouts (All tanks and aircrafts, plus weapons)
