If you wanna take out the blimp go ahead and get a plane and parachute on top of it. Have your squad (all assault classes) and have one guy sit with a shotgun covering the top gun and have everyone just throw grenades and use the anti tank gun on it and just keep spawning on eachother. They can't do anything about it so it's fast and effective and make sure to get off when it's around 3% because you'll die with it if it goes down when your on too
Who else thinks we need a map with multiple behemoths? Imagine a 3 team conquest where each team gets a behemoth (random) and just imagine. Dreadnought destroying everyone below the Zeppelin while the Train guns them both down with mortars and AA guns. Real next gen warfare.

It's hilarious when you climb onto the behemoth with assault, your friend is support, and you just keep on spamming dynamite on the train until it is blown up.
Easy to kill on Amiens with a light tank though because the tracks are dipped under the bridge and game area instead of being level, so I can just target the top of the behemoth guns instead of straight up combat.
While shooting any type of heavy weapon on any behemoth, while the rounds are going down range, you can spot enemies so you can make more precise shots on the next salvo.

Zeppelin: Snipers... can take you out at a seconds notice, inside the mounted guns. Your Life K-Wagen would be cool, 1.7 of those were built, never saw combat 4X 77mm canons instead of the 2X 57mm canons on the Mark V, the K-Wagen is also 120 tons, so no roads or bridges for that beast. crew of a million men. and 8km/h top speed. seems like the right super tank for ww1
I think they should add more rails for the train so the driver can choose where to go, not only when. (Ex.: a track that splits in two and the driver can choose which track to take)

lewis gun hasn't got a suppressor version, assuming you mean the suppressive lewis gun. It has a bigger drum mag a optic and a bi-pod for accurate mid range suppressive fire. Same goes for the mg15 suppressive

They fail at all Modes Rush "ohh its defused" im just run away from it and camp on the other side of the map. I dont know if there from COD and want a Ninja Defuse but i dont understand those peoples.
I went 42 and 1 inside of the airship and I just kept moving around so it would be harder to hit and so I would kill the aircraft flying around me I surprisingly destroyed many aircraft (if you're reading this I think you should try this out cause I was in it the whole game)
Another thing to take note of with the Airship, is that heavy machine-gun emplacements like those found in trenches, or on the Scout vehicles, they absolutely Shred the Gunnery positions and engines of the behemoth. It cannot be overstated just how effective they are in comparison to AA guns, even if they do not do much damage to the Behemoth itself, they can very quickly cripple it to make it much more vulnerable to attack from other friendly units.
Also for torpedo boats vs the dreadnought they have some massive range! If the enemy dreadnought is sitting still you can shoot torpedoes from your spawn and hit it.
There are spots on the airship or zeppelin that disables the bombs it drop, it's those small gaps in the middle of the ship, aim for those no more bombs
Gdude2k in real life, I would say not much, back then the Zeppelins went way to high for artillery to hit it and if it did it did a small amount of damage, and air craft, well It could get above itinerary it was low but if it was high up no chance to get above, most bullet damage from planes did nothing but there were 2 off set bullets that could kill a Zeppelin if it focused fire in one area. This was at the start of the war btw. And you can learn more by a documentary on the Internet, this might not be the most accurate, sorry about that

I never considered myself good at battlefield until recently. I kinda pride myself on coming at the top of the team in many games. I've realized that this game is pretty easy and if fun when you realize that. It's not like CoD where you run out and die. What you do matters. This video should be mandatory to watch for everyone who plays Operations.

Theres this one map on operations that has no fucking land on it. Theres a fort, 2 points and you dont get fucking tanks if you're defending but if you're attacking you do. Fucking dumb man. I got so pissed off by that tank that i rushed up to it with dynamite and BOOM
It's so satisfying when you get to shoot the zeppelin a lot, and just disable some parts of it. Shooting with an AA gun for 2-3 minutes is worth the while
To take the zeppelin out in the lack of airguns, take a bomber and fly over the top. It takes several passes and you have to take out the gunners while doing this. Is a tricky maneuver. This works on the mountains where you can circle around the mountain, fix the aircraft, and do another pass. Don't try this on the open map because the zeppelin gunners will take you down before you can fix your aircraft.
MeechTree yeah, AA wasn't working that way, AA was either a storm of bullet or a realy big shell, but with no sensors or any way to set a variable fuse. there were no midflight detonation.
The explosion height is random in real life. And they suck so we stopped using them Hell mini guns are more effective. And if you get a direct hit that doesnt always mean the shell will explode, it could over penetrate those weak ass airplanes
Christopher Weaver in real life each shell is equiped with a "smart fuse" that is primed at the end of the cannon. the cannon use sensor data to estimate the time the shell will take to get to the target and command the shell to explode there. it is still a good AOE to clean up mess but missiles are far more effective.
I wish they did a thing where if your squad was doing a lot of work then the game would offer that squad an early seat before its actually on the map, then if you dont want it you let anyone else on your team get in it.

Just because you "Lost" the first map doesn't mean you lost the game, they still have to take the second map to get a win. Ive been on attacking team and Defending team and on attack i have never won the second map and thus lost. but always won on defense
yeah this sucks. ive never even got to certain maps on operations because defense always wins. i want a game mode like this but the way like rush. theres one map per match, and both teams get to attack and defend, game over ---> next map. never played sinai or argonne and only once the small desert map, cant remember the name. i love this mode and clearly the maps are focused on this mode, theres a lot of unused areas on conquest. this makes it sad that i cant play more than 4 - 5 maps and with bad luck even them only half way. DICE MAKE THIS HAPPEN.
I am starting to hate operations due to airships raining death on me multiple times and I can't do anything about it as I spawn out in the open every time. It's just not fun getting killed over and over from something you can't touch as all AA guns are destroyed. Attackers need something to help them win but the behemoths are not that thing in my opinion. Perhaps defenders have to spawn at their base and not the flags would be a good balance, along with a longer respawn time. Some people may disagree but behemoths in operations, specifically on the open maps with little air cover, is starting to drive me away from the game mode.
Using a horse is definitely underutilized for attacking the train behemoth. Unlimited grenades that damage it and you can drop unlimited health and ammo packs to recover grenades and health (especially useful for your friendly Assaults near the train). Front and to the side is the best position.
Another Tip for taking down the airship behemoth: If you're playing as a pilot and spawn as a attack plane fly under the airship and fly straight at the gondala's the ones on the front face to the left and right so they can't hit you directly as you fly to them and the one in the back can't turn 180 degrees around to shoot you so you can avoid those heavy rounds and minimize the damage your plane take, once the airship is down you can start doing strafing runs over points to assist your team
When I first played battlefield as the driver of the train I had no idea I had a weapon too, I spent the whole round just driving to the flags in conquest really proud of myself when we won the round xD
It should also be noted that the guy controlling the Dreadnought's movement is responsible for the rear gunner's aim about half the time. I got into a game where the guy in control just planted the ship on the British side of the map in Fao Fortress Conquest, and all I had to shoot was the A point and the dunes on the north side of the map. If all you're going to do is shell the map at range, at least allow the other gunner to assist...
i think that the best way to take out the train is to try to get seven people from your team to choose the assault class and then put their anti-tank all of their mines on the train track the train will instantly blow up and the other team will have lost thier behemoth before it even reached its first destination.
now you can’t play the airship for more then 1 minute because of the constant AA guns shooting at you. if you destroy them the support will just repair them
i found out that the tank hunter conversion for the attack plane really wreaks the airship by shooting tank shells at the ship while lining up with the airship and also droping the explosives on it my squad took out a freshly spawned airship in roughly 5-7 mins by using AA guns, heavy tanks, one attack plane(me) and a rocket gun sooo.. i would say it works
Just as a note on the airship which wasn't included in the video for some odd reason, taking out "Parts" deal extra damage. So if both gondolas are dead, do NOT focus on the engines, that's a waste, focus on the fins at the back, get the "Part Destroyed" there, move on to the 2 bomb bays underneath and get the "Part Destroyed there" and then the tip of the zeppelin and get the "Part Destroyed" there, I also believe if you destroy the back and front the two AA guns on top aren't functional anymore. Focus on these 4 points plus the Gondolas and you can almost take it down yourself, however it'll be much quicker with more people focusing it (as they should).
For the behemoth airships, they can glitch out cuz I've seen them spawn and get destroyed in an instant many times already, even after the update. And if you want to destroy the Behemoth fast, just spawn a anti air truck and done
Maybe things weren't the same back then, but a stationary machine gun can rip the $hit out of the airship. It's also a super easy way to rack up massive points.
Guys for the Blimp just simply buy the AA package of the Attack Truck, that Blimp will be down in no time since you are a moving target and any time the blimp is to close you can just move.
I'm wondering what is more useful against the dreadnought. The torpedo bomber is made specifically for taking down boats, but i feel like the Barrage bomber can do more damage if you line up a payload correctly. on top of that, a torpedo bomber won't be too useful once the ship has been sunk.
Encountered some interesting bugs while playing Operations last night. My team's airship exploded immediately after it spawned, taking the entire crew with it. Of course, we failed to push past the enemy without this advantage, so our second airship spawned. Anyone who attempted to spawn in the airship instantly died, and it just sat in our deployment for the rest of the game.
i find it funny that on the Battleship the Midship turret is not used, for shore bombardment its perfect to have one but for balancing it just sits there (fun fact that ship class is Britains Iron Duke Class Battleship)

aa guns can shoot through the dread naught , so all u gotta do is spot the boats and the AA guns can kill em no problem no matter where they are around the ship as long as player focus their fire on the spot marker.

Just last night we got the Airship, all the enemy AA targeted it at once... and that thing went down in literally less than 2 minutes (They may have spawned 1 or 2 AA trucks as well. BOMB THE AA, Snipe them, morter them, rush them, doesn't matter. Save your Airship, Kill the AA.
confirmed: you can swim out to the dreadnought and put a limpet mine on it. I swam to the prow of the ship and nobody even noticed me. I was able to swim back to shore with no problems. I equipped the mine before I went in the water. You can throw AT grenades at it too while treading water.
Dreadnaught: Pretty hard to take out.
Zeppelin: Easy to take out.
Armored train: Target practice.

There are spots on the airship or zeppelin that disables the bombs it drop, it's those small gaps in the middle of the ship, aim for those no more bombs

Gdude2k in real life, I would say not much, back then the Zeppelins went way to high for artillery to hit it and if it did it did a small amount of damage, and air craft, well It could get above itinerary it was low but if it was high up no chance to get above, most bullet damage from planes did nothing but there were 2 off set bullets that could kill a Zeppelin if it focused fire in one area. This was at the start of the war btw. And you can learn more by a documentary on the Internet, this might not be the most accurate, sorry about that

I love when you're in the train and the person in the AA gun isn't shooting at anything, not even planes, and the driver sits still in the middle of the map.

I never considered myself good at battlefield until recently. I kinda pride myself on coming at the top of the team in many games. I've realized that this game is pretty easy and if fun when you realize that. It's not like CoD where you run out and die. What you do matters. This video should be mandatory to watch for everyone who plays Operations.

Thank god. The losing team shouldn't have an overpowered crutch for no reason other than losing. The Behemoths should be points that you have to capture to use.

Theres a fort, 2 points and you dont get fucking tanks if you're defending but if you're attacking you do.

It's so satisfying when you get to shoot the zeppelin a lot, and just disable some parts of it. Shooting with an AA gun for 2-3 minutes is worth the while
i have never had the chance to be in a dreadnought :( but i've been in the others and killed a lot of people
To take the zeppelin out in the lack of airguns, take a bomber and fly over the top. It takes several passes and you have to take out the gunners while doing this. Is a tricky maneuver. This works on the mountains where you can circle around the mountain, fix the aircraft, and do another pass. Don't try this on the open map because the zeppelin gunners will take you down before you can fix your aircraft.
What's funny is in World War One anti-aircraft guns weren't very effective against airship raids

MeechTree yeah, AA wasn't working that way, AA was either a storm of bullet or a realy big shell, but with no sensors or any way to set a variable fuse. there were no midflight detonation.
The explosion height is random in real life. And they suck so we stopped using them
Hell mini guns are more effective.
And if you get a direct hit that doesnt always mean the shell will explode, it could over penetrate those weak ass airplanes

in real life each shell is equiped with a "smart fuse" that is primed at the end of the cannon. the cannon use sensor data to estimate the time the shell will take to get to the target and command the shell to explode there. it is still a good AOE to clean up mess but missiles are far more effective.
During the beta I noticed that, when you're on the following shots camera, you can already adjust a little bit your aim, even more precisely !

I wish they did a thing where if your squad was doing a lot of work then the game would offer that squad an early seat before its actually on the map, then if you dont want it you let anyone else on your team get in it.

Just because you "Lost" the first map doesn't mean you lost the game, they still have to take the second map to get a win. Ive been on attacking team and Defending team and on attack i have never won the second map and thus lost. but always won on defense

yeah this sucks. ive never even got to certain maps on operations because defense always wins. i want a game mode like this but the way like rush. theres one map per match, and both teams get to attack and defend, game over ---> next map. never played sinai or argonne and only once the small desert map, cant remember the name. i love this mode and clearly the maps are focused on this mode, theres a lot of unused areas on conquest. this makes it sad that i cant play more than 4 - 5 maps and with bad luck even them only half way. DICE MAKE THIS HAPPEN.
I am starting to hate operations due to airships raining death on me multiple times and I can't do anything about it as I spawn out in the open every time. It's just not fun getting killed over and over from something you can't touch as all AA guns are destroyed. Attackers need something to help them win but the behemoths are not that thing in my opinion. Perhaps defenders have to spawn at their base and not the flags would be a good balance, along with a longer respawn time.
Some people may disagree but behemoths in operations, specifically on the open maps with little air cover, is starting to drive me away from the game mode.
I was good with behemoths before. I have seen so many how to/ tips videos, now Im excellent with behemoths

Using a horse is definitely underutilized for attacking the train behemoth. Unlimited grenades that damage it and you can drop unlimited health and ammo packs to recover grenades and health (especially useful for your friendly Assaults near the train). Front and to the side is the best position.
At least 2 warcrimes were recorded in this video...
Another Tip for taking down the airship behemoth: If you're playing as a pilot and spawn as a attack plane fly under the airship and fly straight at the gondala's the ones on the front face to the left and right so they can't hit you directly as you fly to them and the one in the back can't turn 180 degrees around to shoot you so you can avoid those heavy rounds and minimize the damage your plane take, once the airship is down you can start doing strafing runs over points to assist your team

the flame trooper kit does a huge amount of damage to the train, up to 80 before the "wex" overheats, which cools down very quickly.

It should also be noted that the guy controlling the Dreadnought's movement is responsible for the rear gunner's aim about half the time. I got into a game where the guy in control just planted the ship on the British side of the map in Fao Fortress Conquest, and all I had to shoot was the A point and the dunes on the north side of the map. If all you're going to do is shell the map at range, at least allow the other gunner to assist...
i think that the best way to take out the train is to try to get seven people from your team to choose the assault class and then put their anti-tank all of their mines on the train track the train will instantly blow up and the other team will have lost thier behemoth before it even reached its first destination.
now you can’t play the airship for more then 1 minute because of the constant AA guns shooting at you. if you destroy them the support will just repair them
i found out that the tank hunter conversion for the attack plane really wreaks the airship by shooting tank shells at the ship while lining up with the airship and also droping the explosives on it my squad took out a freshly spawned airship in roughly 5-7 mins by using AA guns, heavy tanks, one attack plane(me) and a rocket gun sooo.. i would say it works
Just as a note on the airship which wasn't included in the video for some odd reason, taking out "Parts" deal extra damage. So if both gondolas are dead, do NOT focus on the engines, that's a waste, focus on the fins at the back, get the "Part Destroyed" there, move on to the 2 bomb bays underneath and get the "Part Destroyed there" and then the tip of the zeppelin and get the "Part Destroyed" there, I also believe if you destroy the back and front the two AA guns on top aren't functional anymore. Focus on these 4 points plus the Gondolas and you can almost take it down yourself, however it'll be much quicker with more people focusing it (as they should).
For the behemoth airships, they can glitch out cuz I've seen them spawn and get destroyed in an instant many times already, even after the update. And if you want to destroy the Behemoth fast, just spawn a anti air truck and done
The HMG (Heavy Machine Guns) are EXTREMELY effective. They do consistent damage as well does the Incedinary Rounds from the LMR.
Maybe things weren't the same back then, but a stationary machine gun can rip the $hit out of the airship. It's also a super easy way to rack up massive points.
Guys for the Blimp just simply buy the AA package of the Attack Truck, that Blimp will be down in no time since you are a moving target and any time the blimp is to close you can just move.
When the Dreadnought blows up it looks amazing
I'm wondering what is more useful against the dreadnought. The torpedo bomber is made specifically for taking down boats, but i feel like the Barrage bomber can do more damage if you line up a payload correctly. on top of that, a torpedo bomber won't be too useful once the ship has been sunk.
Encountered some interesting bugs while playing Operations last night. My team's airship exploded immediately after it spawned, taking the entire crew with it. Of course, we failed to push past the enemy without this advantage, so our second airship spawned. Anyone who attempted to spawn in the airship instantly died, and it just sat in our deployment for the rest of the game.
A behemoth is actually really fucking intimidating if you're not on its team, dice did a great job

i find it funny that on the Battleship the Midship turret is not used, for shore bombardment its perfect to have one but for balancing it just sits there (fun fact that ship class is Britains Iron Duke Class Battleship)
Also the vickers guns around the maps are very OP because they can hit the airship like on Monte Grappa with alot of ammo

you can actually shoot through the dreadnought to engage the torpedo boats. just keep spamming the spot button and shoot straight at the boats
Forget AA, the airship buster attack plane will shred an airship. I can usually take one out by myself with about 6 passes.
The machine gun on the train is so fun to use but I think it needs a bit of a damage buff
It would've been awesome to have been able to freely walk in the behemoths.
basic artillery truck with its mines does a good job of taking out the train also
aa guns can shoot through the dread naught , so all u gotta do is spot the boats and the AA guns can kill em no problem no matter where they are around the ship as long as player focus their fire on the spot marker.
@5:00 On the Airship vs AA: Absolutely Correct. Just last night we got the Airship, all the enemy AA targeted it at once... and that thing went down in literally less than 2 minutes (They may have spawned 1 or 2 AA trucks as well. BOMB THE AA, Snipe them, morter them, rush them, doesn't matter. Save your Airship, Kill the AA.
confirmed: you can swim out to the dreadnought and put a limpet mine on it. I swam to the prow of the ship and nobody even noticed me. I was able to swim back to shore with no problems.
I equipped the mine before I went in the water. You can throw AT grenades at it too while treading water.
