    Thanks for another great program. The Marina is certainly up-scale "Gringoville", and perfect for those who want that lifestyle and can afford it. $3000 a month for food tells it all. Certainly not typical for most expat residents here.

    • @LivingOverseasTV
      @LivingOverseasTV  3 года назад +8

      Barbro Zaniewicz, I agree, they live an up-scale lifestyle. I didn't find the Marina area to be too much of a Gringoville. There are many wealthy Mexicans there too.

      Yeah Zona Romantica is more Gringoville than Marina but also less expensive overall.

      Nick DePalma, There are more families starting to live the nomadic life. I will try to cover some information about this in the future. Many international schools are now using standards from International Baccalaureate (IB), Waldorf and Montessori, which make it easy to move around and still provide a consistent education for your kids.

    a lovely couple, they seem quite genuine, down -to-earth. and nice to see them living their dream 'out loud.' they made it happen, it's inspiring - and they seem to be quite cognizant about how privileged they are. they really seem to appreciate it.
    Puerta Vallarta is a bit more my speed but I can appreciate the reasons this couple chose a more upscale lifestyle, makes total sense for what their needs & preferences are. and they sure weren't kidding when they said they were close to the airport! I mean, when I heard Marina Vallarta was only a 20 minute drive north[?] of Puerta V., I thought:
    'well, *that's* not so bad.' and especially since, for a decade, I lived a 3 hour[!!] 😯 drive away from the nearest major airport..because that's when I decided to move from the west coast to the southwest, USA..and very often there are trade-offs, as your interviewees know well.
    but then they said they could *walk* to their local major airport in 10 minutes!😮 wowza!!🤦🏾‍♀️because that's incredible! and surely that could give one pause about how attached they would *really* be to living further away down the coast.
    and well, living the digital nomad life is my next step, too..after my responsibilities have been carried out back home. and Mexico is definitely one of the places I'm considering as a landing place..thanks so much for sharing that interview.👍

      Ralph Ramirez, This is one of the most expensive areas in Puerto Vallarta. It's a Beverly Hills type neighborhood next to a marina. I'm guessing it's a lot cheaper than Marina del Rey. Although I do agree with you, it isn't cheap. I was living a few miles down the coast in a neighborhood I like better, and my rent was only $450 including utilities.
