  • What's up Scuba Homies? In this video I document a cleanup effort in Honokohau Harbor in Kona, Hawaii. The Ocean Defenders Alliance is back and they're rescuing the harbor from trash and tires! Remember! If you Vibe, Subscribe!
    From Ocean Defenders Allicance:
    "In all, we hauled out 57 tires. The total weight of that the tires is approximately 2,850 pounds. Then the nine batteries, which weighed 700 pounds. On top of that you can add on another 1,500 pounds of other junk. This brings us to a total haul of 5,050 pounds!!"

    My son did a river cleanup project as his Boy Scout Eagle Project. We had three divers in the water with one on shore if needed. The focus was to remove a dumpster and a 30' trailer frame.
    Yes, help with water clean up!

    didn't they dump like hundreds of thousands of tires into the ocean in the 80s thinking it'll become a reef? if only they tried with like 10 first to check...
    excellent work guys!

    Mahalo nui for all who did this.
    BTW, I noticed Milisen immediately from his PVC backplate, even before he turned around. (He’s the Jeff that drank beer, right?)
    Aloha, Juan!

    Hey! Love your content !
    I have a possible idea for a video because i've seen nothing about this topic and i would love to see a video of you talking about: When and how to get into ccr diving and hidden costs of doing so.

    Cold water in Hawaii? Whats that all about? How cold?

    • @DiveVibe
      @DiveVibe  2 года назад

      It's not THAT cold. The harbor has a lot of fresh water filtering in and it tends to make the water near the surface much cooler. Something around 60f. However, to us it is pretty dang cold, lol.
