I currently have a 55% film on my windshield and considering re-tinting to 35% or 45%. I have 15% film on my side windows. If you don’t mind me asking, what % film do you have on your windows? Looking to get same look on my windshield!
It does. Someone did a comparison like this a couple of years ago and not only was the 0-60 quicker of course but the midrange and top end was slightly faster than the Performance. If you like speed like me it is certainly worth it.
I personally was getting only 3.9-3.95 second 0 to 60 with AB, so I returned it. Maybe I need to replace tires (21k miles on them), or maybe test in warmer temperatures (tested at night), but multiple apps and my own hand testing was not getting 3.7 seconds as advertised. Huge disappointment
Teslas are amazing ! I absolutely love my model 3 LR. This acceleration boost is really tempting ! 🤩 To get 100hp gain on a gas engine would cost at least 5k on a turbo kit / supercharger kit. It’s a good deal for 2k, also when you go and sell it or trade it in your car will be worth the 2k more Thanks for this video ! Enjoy

My suggestion would be to charge it to 98%-100% then unplug it, precondition the batteries by routing to a supercharger and give it 10/15 mins of preconditioning. 🤯 night & day difference than just launching it cold turkey
To knock half a second off your 0-60 time in an ICE you’re looking at probably twice this or more plus you’re going to give up your factory warranty with having to use an accompanying tune. For $2k this is a no brainer if you’re a car guy.

I don’t get this take. They had to write additional code for this option, it’s not like a simple “on-off” light switch, and they give you a choice on whether you want to pay for this.
I have the Model Y LR dual motor and I would have to pay 2000 dollars to get the boost. To go from 4.8 to 4.2 sec in 0-60 mph is not worth it to me. I don't need that small power boost to do the driving I do daily. i don't plan to drag race anybody ever and 4.8 sec acceleration is good enough for me. I can spend the 2000 dollars on something worth while. Allot of people say the boost is worth it, and my question is WHY? Just to screech away form stoplights - Stupid!!!!!! Then you can spend your hard earned dollars on new tires every couple of months. That option is always available if I want it, but right now - NO!!!! Bye!!!
Ok with referrals, waste of money otherwise. The base car was accelerating as fast as my old BMW GT1200 motorbike, in real world driving that was already more than fast enough. Fun, yeah. Safe? Debatable. In the wrong or inexperienced hands downright dangerous. No wonder EV insurance is so high. There's a market out there for lower performance and lower insurance.
My dad has a Tesla model highlander long range and at first he didn’t buy the acceleration boost and he used 30 times in standard mode to impress me but I was nit and after buying the acceleration boost i nearly sharted my pants

I bought it before I left the service center with my new Tesla. Car guys spend 5x that much for similar gains all the time.

It is very noticeably faster. No regrets.
