    Just from personal experience, milestones are a "good" standard to have but not all kids meet this. So moms, relax your baby will still walk, talk, go to school, get married and make more of themselves 🎉. Enjoy your baby

      Same with mine. I concluded my daughter has autism. I’m tired of trying to teach her. She just refuses. I feel like crying sometimes because everything seemed normal until suddenly she stopped saying anymore words and even stopped the old ones.

    My 20 month old says maybe 10 words but doesn’t point she is finally learning how to clap alittle bit just last week… im a first time mom and I don’t have a bunch of family so it’s so hard to tell if my little one is headed in the right direction and my pediatrician tells me oooh she will blossom around 2years old.. but seeing your videos gave me alittle more insight with what activities to do with my toddler to help her grow thank you

      @@Jezeus11 she is doing great for her age! 2.5 now she’s a talker forsure! It really sparked around right when she turned 2 but she knows her abc,can count to 20 & knows all her shapes/colors.
      she sings her nursery rhymes all the time it’s the cutest thing. She is repeating phrases a lot kinda of context sometimes but I’ve heard that’s normal for child development.. she points, waves follows 2 step instructions..

    Most of the mamas here doesnt feel that good after this…. 99% is way behimd this boy. But what is is that this boy is really more advanced than average. I dont think he is the best excample to show in this case. My friend started to cry. His son is 20 month and only say 3 words and thats it. She nows want to go to doctors etc to get him checked… I tryed to calm her and told her to read the comments. We didnt find one more that has this advanced little one

      I actually found these very helpful. Especially there my 1000+ words video. I was pretty much just like any of these mothers in the comments 10 months ago. My baby wasn’t saying anything. I used the techniques in this video and now my baby says 300+ words, 20 +phrases and 5 sentences. He’s also bilingual and switches between languages. I watch the milestones video a month prior. But a lot of these verbal and cognitive milestones, I’ve started teaching at 8 months. Ik some people think it’s crazy and unnecessary, but it really helps even if they can’t do some of these things, there brain is still learning

      My boy was far behind about the language milestone. He didn't babble or say anything until 14 months old. I just believed him, kept talking to him, thinking he may be late cause of a bilingual environment. (As known, they have a tendency of delayed language development.) Now he is 20 months old and his language skill is crazy. He speakes really well in one language like he is 2 and a half years old and also speaks the other language as much as other babies. I know it may sound like bragging. Sorry, but my point is every kids is different on their developmental speed. Don't be so nervous and believe in them. Just check the 'red flags' and if your kid is not having them, don't worry too much.

    I just showed my father some of your clips because Christian and my nephew are about the same age, and unfortunately in my father does not have the same thoughts as me (he's under the false impression you are "training" your son (compared to teaching) 🙄🙄). I love your videos, and think what you are doing is amazing, and I'm hopefully going to be implementing what you teach Christian to my nephew (though it is harder since my nephew still doesn't speak 😐). Keep up the good work!!

      Hi there! That's okay if your father thinks we're training! In many ways, we are! Teaching often is there to share knowledge or provide information while training is intended to develop abilities! Especially in these developmental milestone videos, we really are trying to help our kiddos reach developmental milestones! I'm not offended by the term "train" by any means! Thanks so much for being here and showing your interest and care for your nephews development! And aunt like you is GOLD! Your nephew is so lucky! 😍

      We gave my son virtually no TV time until he was about 10 months. Since no screen time we had to read to him all the time then. Gradually increased screen time from then to now 20 months and hes similar to Christian. At night I make up stories to put him to sleep and ask him to fill in the blanks to help with creativity.

    • @auroraaxel5494

      It’s absolutely fine, don’t compare your child to others. Just because a child is talking at 20 months old, doesn’t necessarily mean they’re going to be intelligent. Some kids don’t talk until 2.5-3 years old and they soon catch up with kids the same age. Einstein didn’t talk until 4-5 years old 😊. Lots of parents like to show off how “clever” their little one is because they’re talking but just like physical developments (crawling, walking) all babies do things in their own time and it doesn’t determine their intelligence, the worst thing you can do is compare.

    • @CarnahanFam
      @CarnahanFam  3 года назад +2

      Hi Evelyn! Don't be discouraged! Be sure to look at the speech milestones mentioned rather than how our kiddo here is talking - he was a _ very_ advanced talker for his age. If he isn't meeting the speech milestones for an 18 month old: saying several single words (at least 6), pointing to things to show things to others, gaining words continually, and you are concerned, consider reaching out to his pediatrician! And remember that because children develop skills in a range, some skills might come a little sooner and some might come a little later! Either way, being aware of your child and invested in their development is the first step in helping them grow! You're doing a GREAT job Mama! 💛 Sending hugs your way!

    This video is very misleading this child is definitely older ..and your putting at 20 month old ..he looks like a 2 year old and you have moms freaking out for nothing

      This a 20 month old. You can go to their channel and see the different videos of each month. My 19 month old does all of these things. How about just say wow your child is smart you are great parents. Why put down?

      That’s great she’s picking up the potty so well! If you haven’t seen our language video yet on helping to foster those speech skills, maybe a few ideas there could help at home! Thanks for being here!

      Christian loves his mohawk! If you don't prefer it you're welcome to make that own decision with your child 😊 We'd love to have you here apart of our RUclips community with us - it's a positive, loving and supportive community however we do not tolerate shaming comments about our children here. Please remember that as you continue to browse through our channel, thank you! ❤️
