I appreciate your review. Crazy that these 20s OEM style are cheaper now and alot of folks are selling them about 1200 for 4 on the forums. Deciding to get 20s which I will only upgrade to this style from my 18 for the spring.. do want to know do I have to change the lugs. Fro my original off the 18ins...
I think it's just a matter of what you know. If you own the silver ones, and you see that each of them is going for $1,000 brand new, then most people will try to get as much money as possible out of the deal.
Also, a big part of the price depends on what the buyer wants. If you want dark/grey wheels, these are a nice price out of the box. If you want a different color, then someone has to spend that extra cost to refinish them. I usually sell my refurbished wheels for $1,350 (free shipping) which is a pretty good price for high quality powdercoated wheels in a color you want.
Great Video, per usual! Maybe you can help me: sometimes not all the time, but when driving when i hit the gas i feet like thud or bang as and sometimes it also happens when i brake... again doesnt happen all the time, happens once in a blue, i'm getting my transmission serviced at infiniti next week, but i'm at a loss as to what this may be.
@@DTUFINOPhotography The diff is the best guess if it's coming from the back. From the front, it could be suspension bushings. Either way, keep us updated please
@@EdBwoy Yes, i need a whole new crossmember subframe, mind is cracked corroded and pretty much in disrepair. What kind of hit am i looking at, financially, if i'm having infiniti do it for me?
Yeah, they are a lot of things, but not light at all. I believe you've had yours for a considerable amount of time now, right? How are they holding up?
@@EdBwoy they're great. I took them off for winter and about to put them back on. They're perfect for a cruiser and I'm a bit upset I rashed one of them on a curb. Iirc, you tried to commission a lightweight version? How did they turn out?
@@stickyoxtail good memory regarding the lightweight project. I got it done, and I'll include the link at the end. The wheels are approx 30 lbs each, which technically makes it a successful project. That is lighter than both the silver and dark offerings from Nissan. I would have liked to go back and improve on the wheel in certain areas, but there are quite a few factors that are making me reluctant about investing any more resources in that venture. Ok Ed! Here's my question again, Do you still have those aftermarket ones you had made? If so you should have weighed those too. I would have loved to see the weight on them. Can you tell me how much to get those made each, I really like the bright silver. I'm going to put some on my M35. I love your videos. 👊🏾💯👍🏾
I still have them, and they weight around 30 pounds each. I'm not sure if you see the replies or not, but a few times I've offered to sell those wheels to you. If you're interested, send me an email at edbwoy@gmail.com
Putting them on a Q70? They look good but I don't think they are the best fitment for the car. The tire sidewall is already not all that thick with the sport 20s, so getting a larger wheel means the rubber has to be even thinner...plus this is an odd size. Tire choices will be limited. In addition to that, the wheels are wide, but mount sunken in unless you use spacers.
To some people these things matter, to some they don't. I just provide the naked truth, and you decide for yourself. I like how the wheels look on the sedans though.
I haven't seen this sized wheel cap in an exact matching color, but I know you can find it in black. It might be surprising to know that the original silver cap goes quite well with this wheel color. If the finish had been darker the contrast might have been a little more evident, but this shade of gray seems to work just fine.
Oh, ok. There are no manufacturer deals on the FX50 wheel, so you'll still pay full price - close to $1,000 each. If you want, I can get you the link, but if you don't mind buying used wheels, let me know and I can get you in touch with some people who are selling them used.
