Considering Neil Druckman has said on numerous ocations that even thogh he doesn't mind open world games, he feels the misson/quest often lack agency. Since as you mentioned in the video; the main character can obtain a perilous quest (on no timer), and the player can just resume strutting about doing a myriad of side tasks completly ignoring the main mission for tens of hours. Nothing inherently wrong with that, I did enjoy Witcher 3 immensely. And putting off the main quest is often the point I feel, of many open world games. But the mentioned agency and urgent nature and realism do take a huge hit. So I really hope they build and evolve on the Naughty Dog formula, we allready have hundreds if not thousands of great open word games. Best regards, and a great video!
That was one of the best scenes, also the point was to show how vulnerable Joel is slowly becoming with Ellie like how he was so gruff and uncaring and became more friendly and understanding with her like "Ellie, that's not for kids (kinda parenting her) and for the record it was him or me," which I'm sure would be way more obvious if it was a graphic novel or a book showing inner thoughts of characters
It was that very scene when I finally realized what I was playing wasn't your average game, it was truly something great and even life changing, I couldn't believe how long it took me to play it. I didn't okay part 1 till part 2 came out so I could marathon them, but to be fair that was also a really fun experience and in hindsight I didn't have to wait 7 years to find out what happened next, I just popped in part 2 as soon as one was done
The fact that they're being so discreet makes me lean towards it being TLOU Part 3. TLOU also had a history of trying out the open world route, so it makes more sense IMO
I hope that when they finish Ellie’s story that they don’t just shelve this IP. There is so much potential for it. We don’t know anything about that world that the games and the 1 graphic novel don’t tell us. The show is basically its own thing so I’m not counting that.
@@flyawayq5115 I fully agree, there’s still so much story that could be told. I’d love a game just exploring Tommy’s story bc I feel there’s a lot to unpack there.
Honesty I don’t think it’s needed. The Nathan drake collection holds up and it would be a waste of resources tbh. That’s just my opinion tho. If you mean that you want a graphical upgrade, that’s more understandable. I guess it wouldn’t be too hard to get it done since you already have everything and could copy the coding from the legacy of thieves collection. All you’d need to do is upgrade the graphics which probably wouldn’t even take more than a year since the games are short.
The last of us was a great stand-alone story. Really glad they didn't ruin it by trying to assignate the characters with needless content that should just be its own original title.
It’s hard to imagine all of the enemy improvements possible in part 3! What if hostages try to fight back, like if they are holding side arm when you grab them they try to shoot you or just shoot to get the attention of others so you have to answer prompts to physically restrain them? Or what about all the ai communication improvements, with more diverse personalities to make enemies feel more… human? If an enemy is calling out to their mother and whimpering (rather than threatening the player, making the execution easier), then we would feel a lot worse killing them. I’m not saying to make all enemies like this, but having various personalities that have different enemies behave in their own unique would be not just more immersive, but a total game changer! Some NPC’s can even be given specific bonds, so if you kill a love interest, for example, the widow will swear vengeance and be more aggressive. Maybe downed enemies can even recover over time (depending on the injury), allowing them to try to escape or shooting at the player from the ground. These are just some of my ideas, I’m sure ND will do great with this game!
Ikr nobody wants this milked bs make a survival royal or smthn smh keep miling this forced nonsense this sht don't even got a multi-player but the first game does...stupid
@@purpsitter1353 The new one where you can have different show characters live or die cuz that gameplay looks like 2000s or earlier goddamn, or if it was Telltale and it would actually have choice since the structure this time would demand it playing through seasons of the show
I enjoyed TLOU 2 but I hated that we played as Joel’s killer. It was hard for me to call her by her name for obvious reasons. I get sometimes main characters die or are killed off but I would’ve been cool just playing as Ellie.
I am excited for whatever Naughty Dog gives us next. I must say The Last of Us Part 2 wasn't that bad. I did find the open-world aspect intimidating at first, but eventually, I grew to enjoy the freedom to explore.
I'mma be real you guys, I've never played any That Last Of Us game, but I've seen the HBO show recently, and I think that whatever they're doing for TLOU part 3, They're gonna be thinking in the show as well, I don't think this game is gonna be based on players choices. Or maybe if they're gonna give choices to the player they'll be learning with Until Down movie that's coming out next year and implement that in the show.
The kinds of things I'd be wondering is, how can they deal with issues like replayability (which I'd say even Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom can't achieve), infected just not spawning after a while (which BotW and TotK have the blood moon as a literal world reset because it uses data to save all of the info like enemies you've killed)... I'd assume they'd have to use an "outpost" system (similar to Far Cry 6) where you clear an outpost then can use that to TP around the map... It does throw up a lot of functionality questions like that to me personally.
In an interview i watched the other day Neil was asked how many more games is he able to take on, with his answer being not to many. So im thinking this next game they will close out TLOU Series with Part 3 so they will have the plot for the rest of the HBO show and with that they have the second team that was on factions starting the new IP if that would be possible. IDK just thoughts lol.
tbh, with season 2 of the TV show in production, I highly doubt that tlou part 3 would come out first, since Neil trying to work on both at full speed in tandem would be kind of insane, especially with naughty dog's new policies around crunch that they talked about in grounded 2. interested to see what the new IP is gonna be about
I actually now prefer a big open world to happen for some evolution but for it to look more impressive than LOU2, to take the concept of the game 'Days Gone' forward, but maybe with a main setting being a very big city with big suburbs and some country side. I want more details and interesting scavaging. Streets and buildings can be quite linear so its not like it would fail. Where Breath of Wild had special abilities the LOU character probably needs a special tools like power tools and medical tools or ropes and ladders even, forklifts, transport trucks or wagons, welding tools, Garage repair tools, special climbing tools,, its a game so maybe someone can make you really special tools if you get them the parts. Days Gone introduced vehicles with fuel refills and vehicle repairs, vehicle damage, Big Hoards of enemies to the genre of Zombies was a great step forward. A building, subway, or street can be linear at times or maybe be a sort of one way direction. Buildings or parts of buildings can collapse locking out a place, Roads can sink or floods can happen. Rivers can overflow or change direction. Dams can burst. There can be hurricane damage, Alligators in water, Wolves or Zombie wolves. Days Gone had some remaining government powers involved in the story and enemies evolved, so maybe they could have drones or armies, or maybe North Korea's army show up for an invasion or rescue. World War Z game had sneaky lurker enemies that would try to ambush you with sudden jumping out, so they could potentially move around to make reentering a place less predictable. As could hoards. Hoards could block streets at times, as could snipers. Maybe Ellie needs to suffer more if shot and seek a doctor at times. Gangs and villages could be less civilised but also have more individuals, and smaller groups, like family. I suppose Ellie would now be some kind of person people would turn to for protection or rescue, given she is very like a soldier. The game would need some kind of newer character too maybe.
I would love if there’s a turn of the tide with what people like in games, I’ve never liked open world games which is why uncharted and last of us are some of my favorite games of all time. Story driven linear is way more immersive to me than running around for hours and accomplishing next to nothing
I agree, it's one of the reasons I took so long to play God of War, but I have to say my opinion has been greatly changing. There is a way to have an open world and tell a great linear story without 1,000 "hold up a minute's".
Y’all ever play The Evil within part 2? They kind of had an open world, there were some places you could go back and some others you couldn’t. Depending how far you got into the game, if you returned to a different area, it would look different than the last time you went there. An open world in the last of us like that would be cool.
I think a separate game mode around an open world experience of survival and looting, or maybe even an extraction game mode, would be fantastic, but keep the story on the rails.
I really want part 3 to come out first. It's probably going to be mid-26 but worth it. It definitely won't be out until the Hbo series ends, so it's going to be a minute
it should be "PART III" and it makes sense to release the game by the end of PS5 life because then the exclusive game will sell the most copies (by the end PS5 sales will probably reach 100 million units)
Uncharted 4 and Lost Legacy Had also open section like tlou 2 It was even before tlou2 That was first time they did it It looks like naughty dog likes the idea open section where can go explore more then one place and less liniar I Think they talk it about in interviews like for last of us 2
wonder who's gonna die in his game lol and all of y'all don't be suprised if ellie or abby get killed. we already learned that anyone can die in part 2
if naughtydog decide to do a freeroam like experience for the last of us part 3 i would like it more if its like the evil within 2 when you can explore around the area gain loots and have not much but a good bit of side quests in the area but you also have to roam for the main quest which if they do that type of freeroam i don't think it would affect the story that much unless its like borderlands which has a huge amount of side quest in just that area and if its extremely huge
Fans shouldn't decide how the trilogy ends, the only logitac ending to the trilogy is Abby finds the fireflies and among the group there's another doctor that believes he can make a cure, Abby tracks down Ellie and tells her she has another chance at making things right, Ellie struggles to make a decision but ultimately give's herself up to save the world even if it mean's what Joel did was for nothing, she know's it's the right thing to do
For me, I'm fine with open world games, I could see the vision in part 2. It just depends on how they pull it off. If the open world is great im fine with that being part 3.
I would love an open world map for tlou. Exploring and scavenging a big map, stuff u get can upgrade weapons and gear, build ur home base up. But u gotta go up against other npc gangs and of course loads of infected.
I'm gonna go ahead and guess that the new IP is essentially going to be what The Last of us Online was supposed to be, but without the Last of Us IP tied to it.
Your brain went BotW and more open world when you heard "player choice." Mine went to Undertale. I can see Neil hoodwinking us and setting a tone that encourages a more violent Ellie only to have us get to the end and say "well...remember that time that you did this? You could have ALSO done this."
@pixel8ted exactly. I mean if you look at the themes in the first two games overall, like grief, tribalism, love, etc, they've been giving you a road map to savagery right from the start. I think it would be awesome for it to be revealed that Ellie has only been exposed to the very worst of the world so far, and that she waged a war on the undeserving in the end AFTER losing everything already in the pursuit of revenge (IE her family or love). Just my take on it.
Part I was about love, and the lengths you’ll go for it. Part II was about hate, and how revenge is cyclical. I think Part III will be about acceptance, and will end with Ellie and Abby finally understanding each other and Ellie giving herself up for the cure. I don’t want an open world. I don’t want player choice. I want a strong, linear storyline with a fitting ending for the characters we’ve all grown to love.
If this open world is added into the tlou3 I'd appreciate if they'd just keep the story separate. That maybe you would be able to do just side quests and see all the characters like rdr2 in an open world tlou
Ok as someone with a ton of older games in my backlog. I don't look forward to the spec requirements of newer games its a rare thing nowadays for a game to have reasonable spec demands.
imagine if its an actual savage starlight sci fi open world game as the new IP, we have the comics from the last of us, we have multiple outfits in the uncharted 4 multiplayer, and a outfit for ellie in the last of us part 2 no return, putting all this savage starlight related content, must mean something?
Man you got it right when you said the part where Ellie & Diane or whatever has to roam Seattle is the worst part of LOU2 I’m on my 3rd or 4th play through & I just got to this part a few days ago & I just haven’t played it since because that part is soooo boring
TLoU3 on PS6. Pt 1 Re-remake and Pt 2 Remake incoming for "parity" with the 3rd entry. The Re-remake of one will adopt the gameplay of pt 2. but 2 will not be upgraded with 3's gameplay. That comes with the trilogy set designed for ps7 with the p1 re-re-remake, pt 2 re-remake, and part 3 remastered! Remake of the show in 2030.
Ellie’s story needs to come full circle ⭕️ but I think the bigger story is the state of the world and a cure or not cure for civilization… to me that’s the guts of this story … Ellie being the vessel 🚢 that carries the story but not ultimately about her … it’s evident in her inner conflicts.
I just want a game that tells a great story and inspires the same kinds of strong emotions as the first two ones. No need for novelties in terms of graphics or anything like that, it already looks great. Stop the nonsensical race to perfect looks. Just a few additions to the gameplay to make it interesting and varied, and most of all, a great story. That's all we need. It could literally bring as few innovations as a DLC, if the story's great, I'll be absolutely content with it.
I feel I’m one of the few people who don’t enjoy open world games mainly for the fallout reference, I get too distracted with side quests and other storylines that I don’t continue the main storyline and I feel that NaughtyDog should just continue to the linear storytelling game for the last part. Maybe factions or open world could be expanded upon in a DLC or after the games release but just let me finish the story how they decide they want to end it. So I can move on with my life lmao
I'm going to be honest and maybe this is just my feeling but I'm going off of everything that we got for the part II doc, the next game ISN"T going to be TLOU Part III. Its going to be a new IP. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong, but it makes the most sense to me regardless of what the show does. But even for the show Craig has said that part II could be split up into 2 maybe even 3 seasons, so that would give ND some time to work on a part III, but as things stand right now, Most likely its going to be the new IP. I believe (based of the Doc as well) that the type of game they are going to do is going to be open world. They mentioned when they were making part II that they were trying to take components from Blood Bourne so its very possible that they will do that in this New IP. What didn't work for a Last of us could very well work with a totally new IP. All I can say is Let Them Cook. Personally I'm excited for something completely different.
i was hoping for a four part story like uncharted because the uncharted games really connected, but still, now neils story is perfect, and i love the idea of multi branching, but i also love set or random dialoge with characters, naughty dog doing a open world last of us III, i feel like thry should tale inspo from AC, a map, you can do the story or side quest, and like i said, multi branching would be a interesting thing in the new TLOU, but the times you need to choose is in part of the games that require a important decision or certain speech to advance, i know im all over the place but still tlou is one of my favorite naughty dog games, so in sumery, and the idea of open world does has me interested, and if it is a open world, i wish for them to take inspo from the AC games, specifically unity, BF4, 3 and the ezio trilogy, multi branching should be only in section like when saving two characters, example, jesse and dina, jesse has ellie ho the revenge route and kill abby and dina has the pacifist or savior route where you spare and forgive abby(already in tlou 2) and along the way in dina's route you can decide to give yourself to make a cure
if the last of us 3 is to come out, i have to inform you that it will only be released after the ps6 comes into existence. that is, at the end of the ps5 generation. because both tlou 1 and 2 were like that, both released at the end of the ps3 and ps4 generation. because the last of us aims to use as much of the console's hardware as possible. and for that to happen, it takes many years of research, development and testing to find out how much the console can really handle at the end of the generation.

Such a great story!
Totally!
in my opinion, they should close out Ellie's story and then maybe build on the LOU world with an open world game afterwards
That could be a cool idea!
Ngl i want Uncharted 1-3 Remakes
Same!
I’ve been waiting for it to be announced 😢
Honesty I don’t think it’s needed. The Nathan drake collection holds up and it would be a waste of resources tbh. That’s just my opinion tho. If you mean that you want a graphical upgrade, that’s more understandable. I guess it wouldn’t be too hard to get it done since you already have everything and could copy the coding from the legacy of thieves collection. All you’d need to do is upgrade the graphics which probably wouldn’t even take more than a year since the games are short.
We need a new game this generation!
Yes!
The new enemy AI I think will be incredible!
Are you.... Okay? I mean, this seems kinda dark..
That Walking Dead game would have been so much better if it was Naughty Dog so it would actually be fun to play
The telltale games?
Ikr nobody wants this milked bs make a survival royal or smthn smh keep miling this forced nonsense this sht don't even got a multi-player but the first game does...stupid
Always think about that
@@Doodoovoodoo no the newest one
@@purpsitter1353 The new one where you can have different show characters live or die cuz that gameplay looks like 2000s or earlier goddamn, or if it was Telltale and it would actually have choice since the structure this time would demand it playing through seasons of the show
Freedom could also mean an immersive sim game and I would like that so much from Naughty Dog!
That's possible!
when will tlou 2 come in pc. waiting for 4 f--king years
It was almost 10 years wait for first game on PC.
In the Grounded 2 they said that Tlou Part 2 was originally going to be similar to Bloodborne. Maybe they want to use that idea in their new IP
That could be interesting!
How can there be the last of us 3? If the last of us 2 doesn't exist 😊
Plot twist the 2nd one was a dream
@tailsprowerfan2729
Maybe for you, for me, it would be a nightmare if it would ever exist
@ thats what i meant
There is a second game. Have you been under a rock all this time?
I enjoyed TLOU 2 but I hated that we played as Joel’s killer. It was hard for me to call her by her name for obvious reasons. I get sometimes main characters die or are killed off but I would’ve been cool just playing as Ellie.
I am excited for whatever Naughty Dog gives us next. I must say The Last of Us Part 2 wasn't that bad. I did find the open-world aspect intimidating at first, but eventually, I grew to enjoy the freedom to explore.
I love Part 2!
Maybe open world like days gone would be a crazy way to go lol
It could be cool!
They won’t let Factions2 go to waste, too much time and money was put into it. No doubt it will be a MP component of TLOU3 or a side purchase.
I hope so!
Totally have the show in mind!
Totally!
Ngl playing as a badass knight with a cape dodging and blocking attacks in last of us part 2 combat would be sick
Yes it would!
We need factions 2...
Yes!
No
No we don’t give us coop campaign 😂😂tired of all these sweaty Mp games that play the same
I would love like an open world game, where you made your own character set in the last of us universe. It’s my favorite zombie/infected universe.
That probably would have been Factions 2!
The 3rd one should be how tommy and joel lived
Many would love this!
That's what I think as well!
Awesome story and cool gameplay is always way better than a open world, I hope they dont sacrifice that unique concept
Totally!
Bro just stop. Everything that Naughty Dog makes is gold. Stop overthinking it.
tbh, with season 2 of the TV show in production, I highly doubt that tlou part 3 would come out first, since Neil trying to work on both at full speed in tandem would be kind of insane, especially with naughty dog's new policies around crunch that they talked about in grounded 2. interested to see what the new IP is gonna be about
It's possible!
It could be a really incredible idea!
As long as it's not open world or decision game and that Joel is in the game im happy.
I assume he will for sure make an appearance in either dreams or flashbacks!
Y’all ever play The Evil within part 2? They kind of had an open world, there were some places you could go back and some others you couldn’t. Depending how far you got into the game, if you returned to a different area, it would look different than the last time you went there.
An open world in the last of us like that would be cool.
That could work!
I think a separate game mode around an open world experience of survival and looting, or maybe even an extraction game mode, would be fantastic, but keep the story on the rails.
Totally!
I really want part 3 to come out first. It's probably going to be mid-26 but worth it. It definitely won't be out until the Hbo series ends, so it's going to be a minute
My guess is 2027!
@@pixel8ted I was thinking that to, I'm just trying to be optimistic about it being on the ps5, but I think it's 27-28 for sure
Im hoping its a prologue, like either tommy or Joel or Tess in the 20 years before the first game
That would be awesome!
That open world section in TLOU2 was actually fire IDK why you didn’t like that. That’s crazy to me but to each their own
Everyone has different things they enjoy! For me, it was one of my least favourite parts of the game. But many loved it!
it should be "PART III" and it makes sense to release the game by the end of PS5 life because then the exclusive game will sell the most copies (by the end PS5 sales will probably reach 100 million units)
Great point!
Good thing they scrapped the open world idea.
I agree!
I hope its a new IP
It's possible!
Uncharted 4 and Lost Legacy
Had also open section like tlou 2
It was even before tlou2
That was first time they did it
It looks like naughty dog likes the idea open section where can go explore more then one place and less liniar
I Think they talk it about in interviews like for last of us 2
It seems like they've been testing it for a while!
wonder who's gonna die in his game lol
and all of y'all don't be suprised if ellie or abby get killed. we already learned that anyone can die in part 2
Don't think Tommy is making it!
Druckman said Last of Us Ellie's story
i don’t want Part lll if the story is gonna be as bad as part ll debate me all u want Part ll had a great gameplay but the story is just 6/10
Most of us disagree with ya 🤷♂️
Part II’s story was phenomenal. It was ambitious but they nailed it.
Golf club is calling and demands blood sacrifice 😂
'Linear' was the word you were looking for.
Man, a TLOU3 or Tommy DLC world be Wellcome and amazing right now…
Totally!
Hopefully Last of us Part 3 and I still would like a Factions 2.
Same!
Tlou 3 on ps5, Tlou trilogy on ps6. I think if they did an open world type game they should do it like Gow4 and Gow5
That could work!
if naughtydog decide to do a freeroam like experience for the last of us part 3 i would like it more if its like the evil within 2 when you can explore around the area gain loots and have not much but a good bit of side quests in the area but you also have to roam for the main quest which if they do that type of freeroam i don't think it would affect the story that much unless its like borderlands which has a huge amount of side quest in just that area and if its extremely huge
That's a good idea!
Fans shouldn't decide how the trilogy ends, the only logitac ending to the trilogy is Abby finds the fireflies and among the group there's another doctor that believes he can make a cure, Abby tracks down Ellie and tells her she has another chance at making things right, Ellie struggles to make a decision but ultimately give's herself up to save the world even if it mean's what Joel did was for nothing, she know's it's the right thing to do
You made a statement and then immediately contradicted it
For me, I'm fine with open world games, I could see the vision in part 2. It just depends on how they pull it off. If the open world is great im fine with that being part 3.
Totally!
It’s different for naughty dog for sure and it sure is gonna be interesting and yes I’m excited either way
Hope it's great!
@@pixel8ted same
I would love an open world map for tlou.
Exploring and scavenging a big map, stuff u get can upgrade weapons and gear, build ur home base up.
But u gotta go up against other npc gangs and of course loads of infected.
Hell yeah!
It could be cool!
And u should be able to find and team up with survivors
I'm gonna go ahead and guess that the new IP is essentially going to be what The Last of us Online was supposed to be, but without the Last of Us IP tied to it.
Possibly!
turns out he was talking about far cry imagine how much that would suck
Yikes!
I’m Naughty Dog we trust!
Honestly I’m hoping for a TLOU style Crash Bandicoot
That would be wild haha!
damn i’m definitely ready for another game so let’s get it
Same!
Your brain went BotW and more open world when you heard "player choice." Mine went to Undertale. I can see Neil hoodwinking us and setting a tone that encourages a more violent Ellie only to have us get to the end and say "well...remember that time that you did this? You could have ALSO done this."
Like killing the doctors in while saving Ellie, you only had to kill Abby's dad!
Cant wait to play it in 2030. haha.
No kidding!
I reckon naughty dog would do a great viking game. Really excited to see what their next game is
Same!
Could be really interesting!
If this open world is added into the tlou3 I'd appreciate if they'd just keep the story separate. That maybe you would be able to do just side quests and see all the characters like rdr2 in an open world tlou
That's possible!
They should tell us how Joel met Tess
Would love a prequel game!
Ok as someone with a ton of older games in my backlog. I don't look forward to the spec requirements of newer games its a rare thing nowadays for a game to have reasonable spec demands.
I feel like tlou2 is still missing left behind part 2 which would be about Tommy’s 3 days in Seattle. We’ll probably see it in the show only now…
I hope one day they make it!
There‘s still possible plot to gain from the scars and their prophet, the WLF and Isaac, Ellie and Dina and their Baby, Abby and her adopted kid Lev…
@@Albrecht_Dürer_Restposten yeah I expect more story about the prophet as well.. but I think it’s in Tommy’s storyline👍🏻
Almost certainly sure the new IP comes first, but it’s only a qualified guess.
We will see!
imagine if its an actual savage starlight sci fi open world game as the new IP, we have the comics from the last of us, we have multiple outfits in the uncharted 4 multiplayer, and a outfit for ellie in the last of us part 2 no return, putting all this savage starlight related content, must mean something?
That would be wild!
Well, in reality naughty dog was one of the few software houses in ps2 era wich have done a semi open world game with jak and dexter.
It's true!
Imagine if TLOU 3 starts with Joel saying to Ellie “Wake up, kiddo” xdddd
Man you got it right when you said the part where Ellie & Diane or whatever has to roam Seattle is the worst part of LOU2 I’m on my 3rd or 4th play through & I just got to this part a few days ago & I just haven’t played it since because that part is soooo boring
It's not my favourite!
It's possible!
Can't wait!
I trust them if they do head in that direction!
I think before they touch anything TLOU related, they should port The Nathan Drake collection to PC.
That would be great!
maybe it’s like a Ghost of Tsushima type world game😮💨🙌🏽
It's possible!
LoU3 will have Ellie and Abby working together to save either Tommy or Lev or both
That's possible!
I think Naughty Dog should do a Defictionalization on Savage Starlight
I have written the perfect story for a game franchise and streaming series. It's a Werewolf story.
Tlou part 2 pc port is all i need and i really hope we get it announced in early 2025
That's my guess!
i was hoping for a four part story like uncharted because the uncharted games really connected, but still, now neils story is perfect, and i love the idea of multi branching, but i also love set or random dialoge with characters, naughty dog doing a open world last of us III, i feel like thry should tale inspo from AC, a map, you can do the story or side quest, and like i said, multi branching would be a interesting thing in the new TLOU, but the times you need to choose is in part of the games that require a important decision or certain speech to advance, i know im all over the place but still tlou is one of my favorite naughty dog games, so in sumery, and the idea of open world does has me interested, and if it is a open world, i wish for them to take inspo from the AC games, specifically unity, BF4, 3 and the ezio trilogy, multi branching should be only in section like when saving two characters, example, jesse and dina, jesse has ellie ho the revenge route and kill abby and dina has the pacifist or savior route where you spare and forgive abby(already in tlou 2) and along the way in dina's route you can decide to give yourself to make a cure
It could be great!
if the last of us 3 is to come out, i have to inform you that it will only be released after the ps6 comes into existence. that is, at the end of the ps5 generation. because both tlou 1 and 2 were like that, both released at the end of the ps3 and ps4 generation. because the last of us aims to use as much of the console's hardware as possible.
and for that to happen, it takes many years of research, development and testing to find out how much the console can really handle at the end of the generation.
My guess would be a 2027 release!
Open world in a naughty Dog game might mean both players came swim a stretch a water simultaneously without floating wooden pallet
Hah!
