      Hello. I am a South African and I want to know how you could help teach me and my community these ideas. We are really struggling for water, clean air and cheap building material and construction ideas. Another problem is the transport cost. If we find cheaper solutions for these things, we will be solving the poverty problem for our communities.
      Warm Regards to you, your family and your community.

En áreas remotas donde no hay acceso a servicios de agua potable, aprovechar los recursos naturales como el agua de lluvia o el reciclaje del agua de otros usos es una excelente forma de maximizar lo disponible. @Mikexxx531 Месяц назад +2

      This is not just for off grid living. You might as well store the water from your roof for things such as gardening, lawns, or filling a swimming pool. It's also good to have extra water on site in case of a fire. Municipal water is getting expensive.

    • @HolicCreation
      @HolicCreation  24 дня назад +1

      @Mikexxx531 Absolutely, you’re spot on! Harvesting rainwater isn’t just for off-grid living-it’s a smart and versatile solution for many purposes, like gardening, lawn care, and even as a backup for emergencies like fires. Plus, with rising water costs, every drop saved counts.
      Do you already have a rainwater collection setup, or are you thinking of starting one? It’s always interesting to see how people tailor their systems to their needs! 😊

The price tag can indeed add up depending on the materials and scale, but for those who enjoy DIY and resourcefulness, it's a rewarding challenge.
      Do you think adding a water filtration system or repurposing rainwater for non-drinking uses like gardening or cleaning could make such setups more practical, even in areas with less frequent rain?

    you could make an outdoor hottub with the little stove if instead of bucket you attached it to a metal tub yes? also why when you made water system to heat the roof had green mesh but the lower part did not get covered too on the drain pipe at bottom? i like the trick at the end to make a cover!

    • @HolicCreation
      @HolicCreation  Месяц назад

      Thanks so much for the creative idea! Yes, using a metal tub instead of a bucket can make a very cool little outdoor hot tub! As for your question, the green mesh on the roof helps protect the water system from large debris falling down, but on the bottom, the mesh is not necessary because the water is already filtered above. Glad to hear you like the video end cap tip! Do you have any other ideas to improve this system?

    Gray PVC I believe has lead in it to make wire pulling easier.

    • @HolicCreation
      @HolicCreation  Месяц назад +4

      Your concern is valid. However, some grey PVC pipes may contain lead if they are manufactured using older processes or lower standards, as lead was once used as a heat stabilizer in PVC production to reduce costs and improve heat resistance. However, in modern, safety-compliant PVC products, lead has been replaced by safer stabilizers such as calcium-zinc or tin. Current standards (such as the international RoHS and REACH standards) restrict or prohibit the use of lead in PVC products, especially those that come into contact with potable water.
      If PVC pipes are used for water supply systems or applications with high safety requirements, you should choose a lead-free type and look for safety certifications from the manufacturer to ensure that the product does not contain toxic substances.
      And the PVC pipe I used in this video is lead-free, it meets all safety standards. Have a nice day !

I was waiting for you to pour it through a filter- staged, with rock, pebbles, then sand, and then I use charcoal and a layer of cotton- makes for perfectly strained water. if it's clear pipe, you can make sure the layers stay intact, and you can see when it's time to just toss the old one and make a new one. simple.

      Se o governo investir em iniciativas como essas, poderíamos ver uma redução significativa nos custos operacionais e, ao mesmo tempo, promover a sustentabilidade e a conscientização ambiental. Isso liberaria recursos para outras áreas críticas e projetos mais necessários.
      Se precisar de mais sugestões ou quiser discutir formas específicas de implementar essas ideias, estou aqui para ajudar! 😊✨

    A lot of water I wasted every time it rains. Don’t waste them! Let’s create a rainwater harvesting system. Create a rain gutter from the roof. The mesh layer prevents fallen leaves from clogging the gutters. Create a special water lock. And next a special function container would be created. A specially designed stove for winter use. When the dedicated tank is full, the rainwater is transferred to a dedicated storage system. Nice inventions, innovations, and creative work that conserve water and energy!

    • @HolicCreation
      @HolicCreation  Месяц назад +1

      Absolutely! It’s a great idea to save rainwater and use it for multiple purposes around the house. Installing a rain gutter system to collect the water, using mesh to prevent leaves and debris from clogging it, and designing a water lock system to ensure the water is filtered and stored properly are all smart solutions. The addition of a special storage system for rainy days and a stove for winter heating is innovative, as it helps reduce energy consumption while making use of the collected water.
      Have you considered using this rainwater for other household uses, like flushing toilets or irrigation, to make the most of it? What’s your next step in improving your system?

    Actually collecting Rain water is how I have lived for over 25 years.
    All my water falls from the sky and I have 50,000 liters storage with 1500 square meters of roof collection.
    90% of my water is Gravity Direct, [all but the hot water and the cold balance for showers in cold needs to be moved higher for better pressure.
    Kitchen pressure gardening and all others are direct off a roof/tank/gravity fed costs me nothing and very little to set up.
    My top 45,000 liter tanks are sourced by my 2 x 5000 liter tanks and are pumped up 100 meters by Solar Power when I have the power.
    When thinking of Occupying/buying Land your list is 1. Water 2. Power to move that water - 3 Tanks to store that Gold
    4. Cameras to charge your neighbours for Using your water ...

      That’s an impressive setup! Relying on rainwater collection, gravity feed, and solar power really gives you independence. And I agree-water storage and management should be high priorities when planning a sustainable homestead. The "charging neighbors" part adds a nice touch too!

    Aí no seu país não deve ter poluição, pois fiz meu sistema de captação de água de chuva para 9 mil litros, mas tenho tratar com cloro para matar os coliformes fecais de animais e por causa do local e fuligem e poluição, pela área de telhado tenho que descartar os primeiros 80 litros e só assim tenho água potável, muito bacana suas ideias e vídeo, parabéns, nas mesmo aí no meio do mato tem que tratar a água com cloro, para ser potável.

      Você tem razão! Muito obrigado pelo conselho sobre o cloro. Ainda devemos ter cuidado com as fontes de água, e normalmente eu fervo a água e depois uso. Desejo a você um bom dia meu amigo.

      Cảm ơn bạn đã xem video ! Mẹo đó là làm một hố gas chứa rác , thông thường rác trong đường ống thoát nước lâu ngày sẽ làm cho đường ống bị tắc. Hố gas này có tác dụng chống tắc ống thoát nước khi các đường ống nằm dưới lòng đất.

    Mais uma vez daqui do Brasil, e com todo respeito, envio-lhe meu carinhoso abraço por ter mais uma vez assistindo este outro vídeo. Fantástico, surpreendente suas sugestões na construção de aproveitamento de água da chuva. Meus parabéns e mais uma vez, daqui do Brasil, da cidade de Piedade SP, onde estou morando atualmente, (infelizmente uma cidade ideologicamente muito mais comprometida com os valores nazisionistas), um grande abraço. Palestina Livre. Palestina vencerá os nazisionistas!!!

    I love the design of this, but wouldn’t you need to clamp the hoses that go to the fireplace on the wall with a fire barrier so they don’t melt against the fireplace?

    Muito complicado no Brasil se coloca um galão de 250 litros na calha e pronto

    • @HolicCreation
      @HolicCreation  16 дней назад

      Sim, realmente, colocar um galão de 250 litros na calha pode ser uma solução mais simples e prática, especialmente em lugares com menos complicação técnica. Essa abordagem pode ser eficaz para coletar água da chuva de maneira fácil, sem precisar de um sistema muito complexo. No Brasil, onde o clima quente e as chuvas podem ser frequentes, essa é uma boa maneira de aproveitar a água da chuva para uso doméstico, como regar plantas ou até mesmo para a limpeza.
      Mas, dependendo do objetivo, sistemas mais sofisticados, como os que envolvem filtros ou tanques maiores, podem ser necessários para usos mais exigentes. Cada solução tem suas vantagens, e a escolha depende das necessidades e recursos disponíveis.
