leaving this here for myself and anyone else
    1. Pre-poo alternating wash days.
Protien - 1 Egg in a conditioner (Wednesday)
Moisture - hot oil Saturday (sleep and wash out Sunday morning)
    2. Wash with a gentle shampoo such as mixed chicks or shea moisture
    3. Deep condition (D/C) 2 x per week. (incorporate co-washing, don't need to use shampoo every wash day)
    4. Treatments alternate weeks. Henna week A, moisturising Week B:-
Week A - Henna gloss - good quality henna 1 TBSP, 1/2 TBSP amla, 1/2 TBSP shikaki and oils and conditioner
Week B - olive oil, castor oil, coconut oil, rosemary, peppermint with deep conditioner.
if hair is over moisturised, don't leave more than 1 - 2 hours. Can use heat to D/C.
    5. After D/C style with leave-in conditioner, seal with oil. usually Coconut oil lightly. Next day, spritz and then add thick coat of (shea) butter to moisturise.
    6. Protective styles, without too much tension. moisturise ends and tuck away from elements.
    7. Protect at night with satin.

Hey Curly, This is a great video and I will tell you why. It is very frustrating to follow women who have waist and hip length because a lot of times, they will show you the regime they do NOW. We don't really know what they used to do in order to get to that length. I like your video because you take us from where you were, what you were doing, your progress, what you changed and why. It's like we grow with you and it makes the journey to our goals possible. Thank you. Proverbs is a very fitting name.

This is so true -the honesty is so natural and relatable...thank you for these vids. I would like to ask Curly Proverbz, 1. what kind of aloe vera gel do you use - when I made my own from the leaf, it left residue and most in stores have alcohol in them...I tried mixing with oil and it didnt make a difference...2. I just tried henna for the first time...even though I rinsed, my hair was still gritty with henna when I applied my leave in...do you have any suggestions for rinsing the henna COMPLETELY out of the hair after a mask treatment?

I've always looked enviously at Black Women with long, beautiful hair. I thought they just "had it like that." I now realize that a WEEKLY REGIMEN is the key to growing long hair. My father died in November 2014. The next day I cut my already transitioning hair off to a 1-inch TWA. Yikes and OMG!!!
Now, 2 years later (with RUclips's help), my hair is completely grown back to past APL. Thank you for giving such detailed information. You and other RUclipsrs saved me from an emotional Big Chop (the worst kind)!! I'm now realizing that I have to protective style going forward. I love 2-strand twisting my hair.
The goal is waist length. My hair has never been that long (MBL is my longest) but BOTH of my grandmothers had MBL and waistlength hair, respectively. Theirs was finer than mine, but mine is naturally very thick and strong (see my videos). I have high hopes!

Good question!!! I used it for about 3 weeks after the review however due to uping my working out time and it running out I stopped using it. High protein diet really helped with growth. I have just ordered another bottle which should be arriving today and will be documenting my progress again. it will be interesting to see if after a break it goes back to being as potent as it was in the first few weeks that I used it. Blessings!!!

After the first application after several weeks it will fade slightly but after a second application there is very little if any fading. Indigo is the best thing to fade. If you do not want any colour change you can also try cassia. Good luck!! happy hair journey :)))

Hi,I'm new. I have watched about 10 of your videos today, from your last one backwards and randomly.
I just realized that I have not been consistent with my deep conditioning routine and I've slack off in my daily spritzing of water on my hair. I've done low manipulation,co-washing,protective styling, all that good stuff to get it to below bra length, but now I'm getting more shedding than before.
Now listening to this video I realize what is going on and I'm going back to deep conditioning but a little more often. I used to do it once per month,so I'll step it up to every 2 weeks. I want to try henna for sometime now,but not ready yet.
    Thanks for sharing.

Hi Curly, I am a new subscriber watching your videos. I am on a mission to grow my hair after decades of trying to not much avail. I am so impressed by your results. Please tell me the brand of MSM I need to buy, where to find it and for how long should I take it? How many times a day? Can I drink the same MSM powder I will put on my hair? I am in the US. My hair could never grow past my neck length since I went natural. Very dry and coarse hair. I don't know how to figure out my hair porosity. My hair breaks and comes out from the roots at the touch all the time. I am currently using a number of things religiously since January 2019 like the rice water, aloe vera leaf, ginger root, rosemary - lavender - peppermint-tea tree oils, carol's daughter hair cleanser as a shampoo. I wash my hair every 2 weeks. I will probably wash it every week during the summer months. Please help. 😍😊🌷 God bless you. Kind Regards, Jocelyne.

She suggest Cassia for those who don't want to change hair color. She says that the results are similar to henna BUT aren't as long lasting. Hope this helps.

I discovered that Jamaican Castor messed with my scalp. And, I'm allergic to sulfur. Can I use plain Raw unprocessed Castor Oil? And I'm allergic to sulfur. What's an alternative?

A conditioning shampoo isn't supposed to dry the hair out. My shampoo doesn't strip my hair. Conditioners have no cleansing properties so I don't understand how one can "clean" hair with something that doesn't clean...

Washing hair with conditioner is called co-washing it allows you to break up some of the build up with out stripping hair. But only use conditioners without silicone. Silicone will cause build up and you will have to use a shampoo.

***** I've seen SLS in some conditioners though ( Dove for example had SLS in the conditioner). It allows the conditioner to rinse clean off the hair for those who don't want to feel their hair coated after they've conditioned. It may well double has a cleanser.

Hi I have a few questions for you. Is it bad to oil your scalps? How do I know if doing a protein treatment is good or bad or my hair?

When you say you deep condition one week then henna the next week are you doing henna twice a week or once a week since you deep conditioned twice a week then henna the next week

Great video! I used those Ayurveda powders before and they made my hair nice, soft, and curls defined. My hair is stuck around the same length and want it to grow longer. Plus I have some shedding so I need to do something to grow it out and make it strong. Thanks
