REDUCING the OVERGROWN laurel Hedge in the BACKYARD

- My assistant and I came to make a Reduction of an Overgrown Laurel Hedge about 4 m high, which had not been cut for a long time. Therefore, it was decided to cut more than 1 meter, I started working with a ladder and cut off the top with a long Stihl km 131 trimmer, and my assistant cut the sides with a Stihl HS 81R.

Thank you for worrying, yes you are right, although such falls happen very often, especially if the surface is not flat, nevertheless I try to be careful.
I bought a Little Giant ladder for this kind of job, it's a bit heavy but has leveling legs, which are very useful as almost nobody has a flat garden. Can honestly say that it's the most stable ladder I've ever used! Well worth the £400!! Nice job chaps and glad you weren't hurt! 👍

@@kustorez777. Being safe is paramount! I did look at the Henchman ladders, which from what I can gather are excellent. Unfortunately they are a certain size and that's it. I only have a small van, so that matters a lot, however my Little Giant goes from 6ft to 10ft stepladder and 22ft streight ladder, making it far more versatile! Just my opinion of course!

Thank you, yes, some of our areas are very beautiful, mostly we use paving stones in the yards, but asphalt too😀

Здравствуйте, уважаемый блогер. (не знаю Вашего имени). Потрясающий по драматичности ролик. Метраж кустовой линии не столь велик, но вот объём работы, пожалуй, один из самых жёстких что видела у Вас. Вы очень ответственно подходите к работе: суметь выравнить в линию столь толстые ветки тяжело. А уж уместить срезанную массу в небольшой прицеп - просто высший пилотаж. Про падение с лестницы не говорю, сердце заколыхнуло, слава Богу, обошлось. Благодарю Вас.
Спасибо Вам большое, зовите меня Кусторез, к этому уже все привыкли, спасибо Вам за комментарии, вся сложность была в правильной установке лестницы, на видео не видно но этот склон состоял из срезанного газона и это просто клочья земли, как бы я ее не ставил лестница то и дело проваливалась, да и падать приходил часто, уже хоть на ноги приземляюсь.
А с прицепом мы уже научились утрамбовывать, хотя я уже задумываюсь о приобретении более большего прицепа.

Love the “Little Giant” ladders - that’s what they are called in the USA, you can buying outrigger extensions for the base so the ladders don’t tip over.

Was thinking the same.
Best option : mobile platform or ladder with wider lower part/feet.
I use a stabilizer (wider lower part). 50 euro that's it.
Not worth taking the risk aka losing the job.

Tak tohle byl tedy masakr! Ještě, že umíte padat tak elegantně a nic se vám nestalo. Přerostlé to bylo snad jeden metr, strašně moc. A navíc odpad na té jedné straně padal do dlouhé trávy, kde se ten odpad pak špatně hrabal. Já bych sem na to místo už asi nejela :-) Myslím, že jste byl rád, když byl konec! Ale přes všechny negativa to máte zase bravurně sestřižené!!!💯👍👍👍💯🌿
Děkuji vám, ano, řezal jsem tento živý plot o něco více než metr, čištění zeleného odpadu také nebylo příliš pohodlné kvůli trávě a sklonu, a na druhé straně živého plotu ještě ke všemu žebřík spadl do osika Ulia, ale to bohužel není ve videu.😀

Huge difference. 😀 the ladder got tired of you climbing on it. Glad you weren’t hurt. Have you noticed a really early change in leaves and just dropping from trees? Here in Pennsylvania it’s been really dry this year and some trees are just dropping leaves really early. Lovely neighborhood. Love the streets/Straße. Reminds me of parts of Balingen.

Thank you, pruning always starts from the sides and then from the top, it's easier to cut the fence straight, pruning took about 6 hours with cleaning.

Это живая изгородь из Лавра, верно владельцы расчищали место под басеин и накидали землю возле изгороди, поэтому было тяжело ставить лестницу. Спасибо Вам!

This was so sad to watch, 13:59, those poor tree limps don't deserve this type of treatment. And then those babies 35:05 inside the cage and being strapped down. So sad.

Der Sturz von der kippenden Leiter hast Du sehr gut ausbalanciert. Und ganz wichtig: erst einmal die Heckenschere aus den Händen auf die Hecke gelegt. 🪚👍
Ich habe gerade überlegt, ob es nicht für die Leiter zusätzliche Aufsteck Erdspiesse gibt, die man, am besten, auf alle vier Füsse stecken kann. 🤔 Gerade bei so einer schwierigen Hanglage würde die Leiter doch viel sicherer damit stehen. Vielleicht gibt so etwas ja zu kaufen? 🙂
Vielen Dank für Ihren Kommentar, die Treppe ist eigentlich sehr gut und bequem, es war nur ein unebener Boden an diesem Hang, da die Bewohner den alten Rasen geschnitten und alles in die Nähe der Hecke geworfen haben, so dass ich die Treppe nicht wie erwartet installieren konnte, Danke, dass Sie sich mich sorgen😀

Der Sturz ist diesmal gut ausgegangen, aber es hat mich erschrocken, deshalb sorgte ich mich. Gerade, wenn man gefährliche Geräte nutzt, geht Sicherheit vor. Das wirst du aber selbst gut wissen. 😌
