So I had just installed a plugin that would allow me to record my gameplay (PS3_PPU_Project1.sprx) and I edited the boot_plugins.txt file to boot it up when I enable HEN. I restarted my system, but when I enabled HEN, it came up in the top right corner “Welcome to PS3HEN 2.3.1” and my console crashes. I have to press the power button twice before it will come on, since the LED on the console goes off completely. Any ways I could uninstall this plugin without having to enable HEN?

Dude, you gave me the confidence to update mine to 4.89. Thank you sooo much!! Took me some time and troubleshooting some specific issues with my console but it worked great!! ALSO QUICK TIP: Close the main browser tab after clicking in "HEN Enable/Installer". After I did that it installed HEN on the first try.

@Nagato's Revenge Thanks Man! I uninstalled Hen after. I didn't like it and did a full jail break. Was up all night adding cover art to Managunz lol. I'm only struggling to get a few PS3 games to load unfortunately. I launch/mount them with Managunz and then black screen when I try to run some Ps3 games. I think I need to convert them to iso or something not sure. I got Southpark Stick of Destiny off Vimms Lair but only black screen. :(

It's only useful, when you want to play games that require activation from like the PSN store. If your using ISO PS3 game dumps or PS3 folder dumps you should be fine! Thanks for watching Paperclip!
Hey man would really appreciate anyone's help I'm desperate right now. I did everything else right. But when I go to ps3xploits and click on the HEN installer 3 things happen: First on is that no file pops up to start downloading Second I click on initialize HEN nothing happens either no letters anywhere
Question: How do I change Icon of game under game tab ? I installed using MultiMan, folder based game, copied it to PS3 hdd, and now as icon, its just "disc" like image for game... game runs, no problem, and icon showed only while Im in MultiMan app, but not in normal game browser... If i leave few seconds on disc/game, original (normal) icon appears, but as soon as I move to other game bellow or above, disc icon appears back, and its kinda annoying

Hey Dank, thanks for watching my content! First I would never be online when using any form of homebrew such as multiMan. In regards to installing GTA V on one user it doesn’t matter which user you have installed it too just ensure your launching the .ISO or game from multiMan or webMan. If your using a PKG version of the game you will also need an activation .RAP file in order to play the game.
Yeah u just get 7 zip. And some phones needs a sd card to connect to them as a usb storage and u can check the file on md5 on your android phone too lol
Whenever I go to enable Hen it downloads something then it says “An error occurred during the installation operation (80029563)” what the hell??? I did everything you did step by step

So I don't have a ps3 controller anymore, do I need one for the hfw install? I noticed it prompts you with the press ps button to use controller before the install and I'm not trying to spend 20$ on a controller I'll use one time and never touch again

I've gotten all the way to installing HEN, however now when I try to enable HEN, it either gives me a "failed, rebooting" message before restarting my PS3, or it exits out, and tells me a newer version (3.0.3 I think) is available. What should I do here? I don't get the webman file when I enable HEN like you do. Thanks!
Hey Oskar, I would re-install PS3 HFW 4.88 firmware and then run PS3Xploit website to run the HEN payload so you can ensure that your on 3.0.3 version. As for Webman, you can install the PKG after you have HEN setup.

Amazing video nagato I tried everything but it is showing that "no applicable data was found". Then I tried it in safe mode it worked but accepting the hen T&C it goes as it supposed to but when the installation bar reach 24% it directly shoots to 100% but my ps3 super slim bootsup as usual no change 😭 help

Total idiot here. My PS3 was just pulled out of my garage from like 15 years ago. I’m surprised it still turned on. However, it’s stuck in a system restoring loop, and it gets stuck at 48%, then the screen just turns black. So I have to unplug. Somewhere online said I can install new firmware into a USB from my PC and then I can load it onto my PS3 in safe mode, is THIS video everything I have to do? Or is this something completely different? Thank you!

Hi, just a quick 1 I've been running homebrew while signed in mainly fifa 19 and GTA 5 been doing it for just over a year on previous HFW would that change with new HFW meaning is it more likely now to be banned if picked up, I've been running the games online by clearing mods (R2 and triangle) I think it was and launching the games have never been picked up.

Bro good video I couldn't get my disc's to read but i double installed the hfw firmware through xmb and recovery mode and it worked but my ps overheated so it got corrupted due to high fan speed and malfunction and i lost everything so i thought might aswell update to 4.88 but now my disc's ain't reading again going to try installing hfw without a disk in

Hi Francesca, I hope all is well. Does your PS3 disc tray & Bluetooth function work? If either is faulty this can result in an error while updating. And make sure your update to 4.88 HFW.
@@NagatosRevenge this is gonna sound very wierd, but I can't run safe mode because I don't have a dualshock 3, I use dualshock 4 on ps3 so it doesn't recognise it on safe mode If this makes any sense
hi, i have done every step in the tutorial as been explained BUT when i enable hen after that i go to install homebrew packgaes pkg files it gives me error during install and all the files are 4 kb so I dont know what the problem now .by the way the extracted file sizes are ok, thanks in advance any1 helps
I’m such a noob. I followed second for second of The video, then at the 32 min mark, I successfully got the HEN Install initiated. (2nd attempt, much like you said) once I click on Install HEN, I get the notices in the top right hand corner, but I don’t get the download bar. I reset the system and tried the initializer step again but I cannot get to the install HEN option to actually download.
……and then I closed the browser and it downloaded. I have HEN. Thank you for the very meticulous video guide. Now I have to find out what else I need for NCAA revamped.

Idk if you figured this out by now, but if not: create an empty boot_plugins.txt file, put it on your usb drive and then connect the usb drive to the ps3. When enabling hen you should be fine.
Hi, I've got a ps3 super slim I've been using hen for years now but after updating following the steps played out in video to 4.88 every time I try to initialize HEN installer it goes all the way up to 95% then displays Exploit failed .... any ideas what's the issue ... clear all browser history etc, rebooted countless times but still the same issue please help.
This can be disregarded, I've resolved the issue by installing in safe mode and hen initialized on 3rd attempt. I still have all my homebrew/games so that's good consider this resolved.

@Nagato's Revenge Thanks Man! I uninstalled Hen after. I didn't like it and did a full jail break. Was up all night adding cover art to Managunz lol. I'm only struggling to get a few PS3 games to load unfortunately. I launch/mount them with Managunz and then black screen when I try to run some Ps3 games.
I think I need to convert them to iso or something not sure. I got Southpark Stick of Destiny off Vimms Lair but only black screen. :(

Hey man would really appreciate anyone's help I'm desperate right now. I did everything else right. But when I go to ps3xploits and click on the HEN installer 3 things happen:
First on is that no file pops up to start downloading
Second I click on initialize HEN nothing happens either no letters anywhere
If your ps3 is already at 4.88 without hen can you still do this process or do I need to reset the PlayStation to lower the firmware?

Question: How do I change Icon of game under game tab ? I installed using MultiMan, folder based game, copied it to PS3 hdd, and now as icon, its just "disc" like image for game... game runs, no problem, and icon showed only while Im in MultiMan app, but not in normal game browser... If i leave few seconds on disc/game, original (normal) icon appears, but as soon as I move to other game bellow or above, disc icon appears back, and its kinda annoying

Hey Dank, thanks for watching my content! First I would never be online when using any form of homebrew such as multiMan.
In regards to installing GTA V on one user it doesn’t matter which user you have installed it too just ensure your launching the .ISO or game from multiMan or webMan. If your using a PKG version of the game you will also need an activation .RAP file in order to play the game.

Yes it will, you'll need to just be on HFW before utilizing the PS3Xploit website to go on HEN.

I've gotten all the way to installing HEN, however now when I try to enable HEN, it either gives me a "failed, rebooting" message before restarting my PS3, or it exits out, and tells me a newer version (3.0.3 I think) is available. What should I do here? I don't get the webman file when I enable HEN like you do. Thanks!
Hey Oskar, I would re-install PS3 HFW 4.88 firmware and then run PS3Xploit website to run the HEN payload so you can ensure that your on 3.0.3 version. As for Webman, you can install the PKG after you have HEN setup.

After this i have install 4.89 hfw and enable HEN from other way (as xploid site is also down) from youtube now till my ps3 not able to open mutimen , not playing any iso games (on starting same problem black screen brrrrrrh sound) only playing some folder games (not all ) which i have install from FTP SERVER ,
And not even playing CD GAME (SAME PROBLEM BLACK SCREEN) ,
not opening online store , not any other file manager application
i have try every think ( formatting and re installing etc.)
only webmen is working .

I tried everything but it is showing that "no applicable data was found". Then I tried it in safe mode it worked but accepting the hen T&C it goes as it supposed to but when the installation bar reach 24% it directly shoots to 100% but my ps3 super slim bootsup as usual no change 😭 help

Total idiot here. My PS3 was just pulled out of my garage from like 15 years ago. I’m surprised it still turned on. However, it’s stuck in a system restoring loop, and it gets stuck at 48%, then the screen just turns black. So I have to unplug. Somewhere online said I can install new firmware into a USB from my PC and then I can load it onto my PS3 in safe mode, is THIS video everything I have to do? Or is this something completely different? Thank you!
You can try doing that, or getting a total new HDD, to plug in your console to get out of a boot loop.

Hi, just a quick 1 I've been running homebrew while signed in mainly fifa 19 and GTA 5 been doing it for just over a year on previous HFW would that change with new HFW meaning is it more likely now to be banned if picked up, I've been running the games online by clearing mods (R2 and triangle) I think it was and launching the games have never been picked up.

Bro good video I couldn't get my disc's to read but i double installed the hfw firmware through xmb and recovery mode and it worked but my ps overheated so it got corrupted due to high fan speed and malfunction and i lost everything so i thought might aswell update to 4.88 but now my disc's ain't reading again going to try installing hfw without a disk in

Hi Francesca, I hope all is well. Does your PS3 disc tray & Bluetooth function work? If either is faulty this can result in an error while updating. And make sure your update to 4.88 HFW.

I’m such a noob. I followed second for second of The video, then at the 32 min mark, I successfully got the HEN Install initiated. (2nd attempt, much like you said) once I click on Install HEN, I get the notices in the top right hand corner, but I don’t get the download bar. I reset the system and tried the initializer step again but I cannot get to the install HEN option to actually download.

Essential PS3 HEN Homebrew Pack
So I had just installed a plugin that would allow me to record my gameplay (PS3_PPU_Project1.sprx) and I edited the boot_plugins.txt file to boot it up when I enable HEN. I restarted my system, but when I enabled HEN, it came up in the top right corner “Welcome to PS3HEN 2.3.1” and my console crashes. I have to press the power button twice before it will come on, since the LED on the console goes off completely. Any ways I could uninstall this plugin without having to enable HEN?
Idk if you figured this out by now, but if not: create an empty boot_plugins.txt file, put it on your usb drive and then connect the usb drive to the ps3. When enabling hen you should be fine.

Hi, I've got a ps3 super slim I've been using hen for years now but after updating following the steps played out in video to 4.88 every time I try to initialize HEN installer it goes all the way up to 95% then displays Exploit failed .... any ideas what's the issue ... clear all browser history etc, rebooted countless times but still the same issue please help.
This can be disregarded, I've resolved the issue by installing in safe mode and hen initialized on 3rd attempt. I still have all my homebrew/games so that's good consider this resolved.
