@@DustinOranchuk I don't think I would say that, the man had a comeback in 2019 where he was within 10kg of his total at his peak in 2008, he's 33 so I think he has another 2 or 3 years where he can improve enough to win a couple of medals before retiring

Great inside coverage of this. You're doing what no reporter I know is doing or ever has done visually. Keep up the great work. I haven't competed in OL since 1973 but I still follow it. Your unique coverage almost compels me to do so.
Some people need to put their ego aside. Eileen may be a future world champ, but she and Australian weightlifting could be current world champs if they opened lighter
Have you seen Lovchev at any time in the training hall? Although he was on the roster with a 4th ranked 440 kg. qualifying total, I haven't seen him in any of your videos and I haven't heard you mention anything about him all week. At this point I'm fearful that he may not be competing in two days for some unknown reason. Can you tell us whatever you know about his situation and whether he is expected to compete? I would love to see him competing at some level close to his past performances at least in the C & J, maybe around 250kg or so, at least enough to inspire Lasha finally to lift an official 267 kg. all-time record.
i'm loving all the work you guys are doing during these championships! however, i am missing some more focus on the women lifters and their sessions. i mean, i get why you guys talked about Chikamatana here, but you didn't even show or talk about the women who actually won medals. the Koreans are killing it this year! but no mention of them or the ukranian champion, nor the columbian junior medalist. i get that you're gonna devote more time to the men, but it's something that have bothered me for years watching weightlifting content, and i thought i'd finally say something. hopefully you'll devote a bit more time to women in the future.
Nope. I would guess Werksan weightlifting bars but not for sure. It looks like they are using their comp plates. For the men it's a 28mm 20 kg and women 25mm 15kg. A good power bar is 29mm and has no whip to it.
Meso in great shape would have totalled like 13 kilos more, but the 96 and 102 are much closer than the rest of the categories, because from 55 to 61 kilos is a larger % than 96 to 102, The korean looks like he could cut down to 96 with no problem.
The non-Olympic classes are generally less competitive... Here the winning total in the 89 kg class was less than that of the 81 kg class - same for 102 vs 96.
This is my lunchtime content
Gotta distract your stomach from the chicken broccoli rice

Zack u a legend
Honestly the training hall sounds soooo good. Wish I could hear and feel the floor when these guys drop 200+ kg in weight. Insane.
Honorary medal to team Korea for producing the yeets of the tournament
Who was it that yeeted 140kg off the stage?
The 109 session is going to be legendary. If only we had Yang Zhe there to complete the holy quadrinity.
What about Aramnau
109 is the big battle djuraev martyrosian and nurudinov
@@kblkbl Might as well ask about Zacharavic. Aramnau is well past his prime
Aramnau is training for the European Championship.

Audio is all jacked up for me
The audio is all off for me…I thought maybe it was the app but it’s not.
Still good content tho lol
The audio is all mis aligned for me. Makes it almost unwatchable
Yeah the audio is way ahead of the video you've got to reupload man. Great work but its kind of ruined by this.
Seb and team - I have covered live sports and other live events as part of my 40 year career in video production. You do it very well. Thanks! 😎👍🏼

You are my go to channel to watch these weightlifting competitions. Keep up the good work!
No audio for the first minute or so of Seb speaking?
yeah, seems to have cut from 0:15 to 1:10
Same

Audio completely fucked brother. Much love.
thought I was trippin

109 easily my favourite class. Love Rus and Akbar
Ruslan: Dad bod+Herculean strength=Records made with Class
Seb, thank you for your video reviews!
Ruslan sounds so good damn
I've never heard Ruslan speak before. His English was surprisingly well spoken and his voice did not match what I expected, lol.
No audio for first minute of you talking.
reupload with the audio fixed
Nurudinov speaks pretty good English, I'm impressed
Thought my phone was off, but the audio is out of sync….just a heads up!
Love watching these people!
no tone from 0:17 to 1:09
I was really loving the power belly content. 10/10
Holy shit I know you said Nurudinov's English was really good but I didn't think it would be *that* good haha
was the video and audio all out of sync for anyone else? just me?.... and yes i tried "turning it on and off again"
Back squat 90% for 10 sets of 3? Before competition? That is brutal.
After competition. Still rough, no time off
Ruslan has a surprisingly high voice
Is anyone else’s audio completely off?
Love it!
My guy. No audio

You are right, Ruslan’s accent is posh
Is it just me or is the audio and video out of sync?
Akbar's lifts are soo beautiful.....pause
The timestamps are off for this one - W81kg A Session should start at 3:40
RUclips lost a minute of footage which threw it out.
The korean guy compited in tokio in 109 kg
Just to let you know Seb, audio was really wack for me this morning, but it looks like it's fixed now.
20k Barbells are sold out in usa.
Is the audio good ??
You might wanna reupload this one cause the audio is all screwed up
Audio need to be a synced
The 102kg session was a massacre, so many missed lifts, few guys bombed out, very dramatic.
Audio is fine for me
Anyone one what soft belt the korean guy is using for the snatch?
its from Taein Spoment, a Korean company
@@drmonstaa1 didnt think anyone would know. Thank you!
is loredana toma competing?
Are those power bars?

Mattie is definetly running the smolov squat program, never seen 10 sets of 3 with more than 85% other than there
Catalyst athletics have programs with 8 sets of 3 up to 88%, but I don’t know if it was inspired by Smolov
Uhm is this video like edited badly? The audio is super out of synch
1 akbar.2 ruslan.3 simone. i say
i would love to see two kaz lifter in first and second position and martirosian in third of four position, that would be the dreamed day
I feel like Korean lifter just like to showing off on some other things
Didn’t they lose to the 96kg class?
@@CatNerfer3000 Nope, Lesman had a 400 total (187/213) and Rasool had a 397 total (177/220)

That initial stumble and fall looked kind of fake lol.
I like turtles
Koreans have a thing against the judges 😂😂😂
First!
Smashed it!
So the editing is all fucked up on this video. Your voice over and what's on the screen are terribly out of sync.
IOC just banned weightlifting from LA Olympics
No. Its not out for good ot can reenter the program if necessary changes are made.
