Song gives me the shivers everytime I listen. Reminds me of a kid I knew in college(high school to Americans) who was arrested for setting up a kid to arrange a meeting to sort out a petty drug debt and then stabbed him to death. Someone posted these words on another reaction video of the same song, which I watched before giving this one a play. After reading most of the comment thread here, I felt compelled to share this post from there. Shout out to the original poster, whomever you are. "This is not a song I would recommend for first time listeners of Immortal Technique, and I totally understand your reaction to it. Immortal Technique often talks about hardships of minorities, you are correct, but one of the reasons I like him is that he also points out the flaws in the communities he's living in. The song is harsh, admittedly, but *the point of the song* is more of a critique of women's treatment in black and Hispanic communities, where you often have single mothers working hard to support their children. The song is an allegory that essentially condemns the way men in those communities treat women and the status they have, even though many of them were raised by a single mother. This is why the song comes back around, with William's mother working long hours and also being the one who was raped. The fact Immortal Technique puts himself there as well is because *he knows he is guilty of treating women terribly.* Technique styles himself as a revolutionary, not just for changing the US government but *for essentially waking people up to how they should be treating each other better to form a stronger community.* I would suggest the song *You Never Know,* also by Technique, as a good intro to his story telling style, as it also contains similar themes to this song in regards to women's place in the community he lives."

0:31 How can you hear about Immortal Technique when you only listen to Eminem...
Not only em I haven't heard this dude until beginning 2019
The confession part is just a shock value, helping depict what evil looks like.
The fact Immortal Technique puts himself there as well is because *he knows he is guilty of treating women terribly.*
Technique styles himself as a revolutionary, not just for changing the US government but *for essentially waking people up to how they should be treating each other better to form a stronger community.*
I would suggest the song *You Never Know,* also by Technique, as a good intro to his story telling style, as it also contains similar themes to this song in regards to women's place in the community he lives."
This song blew mind al.ost 20 years ago. Still blows my mind today. Immortal Technique is on another level
