This song fucked me up when I first heard it. Gave me chills hearing it again. This gotta be one of the best story telling songs in history and at the same time one of the darkest.
Facts
regardless how real he is it’s shit music im listening fs
Relax if a song give you chills u gotta be a joke
@@JoseGonzalez-ff6qiI was 12 when I first heard this song, I got mad chills
100. Absolutely magic storytelling. Immortal song. 👏👏👏👊✌️💯
He didn’t actually rape and murder anyone btw lol he was telling a story his cellmate told him.
I'd say that too to keep the accessory charge from popping up lol
@@justinthornton9064 i mean i get what ur saying but if he did it and was scared of charges he wouldn’t have “admitted” something that specific 😭😭
Source?
@@KillbotSw himself?🤣
@@justinthornton9064either you’re just tryna be funny for a comment n like or you just truly don’t know who immortal technique is lmao
"he leveled up" is crazyyy 🤣🤣
That’s what I was thinking 😂
Absolutely diabolical
Wild😂
😭😭😭
He was referencing his opinion on Immortal Technique’s skill (saying he “leveled up” because of the plot twist
"not belonging, but being" Bro your dad has so much wisdom, be grateful.
Honestly I think I’m mostly here for pops wisdom and advice. 😅
@@Epicalabama1 yeah me too
To your pops about the N-word: mexicans aint out here callin each other spic, and italians aint out here calling each other wop. Since the n word is commonly used in a friendly manner like homie amongst poor communities with black and brown people like in houston and nyc and chicago, then its a different thing
This dude isn't even listening to what his dad his saying...his low IQ comments and the "xxxtentacion" comments are mind numbing
He really doesn't lol
This song was released back in 2001! Immortal is an og underground icon! All his songs are about truth/revolution. Very raw and real. His knowledge and vocabulary was and is still next level. Nice reaction, salu2!
and he's a passionate activist too! in L.A i'v seen him at City Council Meetings & at planting at free Community Gardens we started where anybody can eat from it & anybody can grow there
Bro said salu2 😂😂😂😂
@@Cartier2Shiestyyeah?
@@RavenousCatalyst594 iirc he funds schools etc in various countries as well
Do you guys know any other artist like this . That raps story’s and stuff that goes on in the world. Instead of rapping about drugs and bitches
Immortal Technique is an African Peruvian (In the same way you're an African American). This song was also released long before X ever picked up a mic, if anything Technique influenced him. If you haven't check out his song "3rd World".
x was very much infuelnced by immortl technique, his first song ever too is super similar to this, look up news/flock
He says in one of his interviews that this is a story his cell mate told him
Hes tryna avoid the charges bro☠️

You got a cool pops man. Loved how you really listen to him and hear him out. You both solid dudes
Came on here to say the same thing
If only he would listen to the song. How "I didn't hear that" or catching something after the rewind, or saying you just said that when the chorus replayed... the story isn't hard to catch its pretty much a clear picture all the way through...
@@dhyounggunz85 I agree w that lol. Many things went right over the young man’s head. Sometimes twice lmao
Agree 100% with u.
all the same to say. you got a good pops who puts his brain to work.
“It’s the difference between being a rapper and a artist” TRUE
crazy that im still able to see peoples first reaction to this song after all this time
I was a freshen in 2005 when I first heard this
immortal technique is peruvian but his grandfather was a black person who immigrated to peru
The dad has that old school mentality that gives words so much power for no reason
And the typical zoomer son is barely listening.... Smh this is why hip hop died, kids' can't be bothered to support or even listen to a real artist so the poppy corny BS rises to the top.
No wonder crap like Oliver Tree and 69 are popular.
This song hands down the #1 hiphop / storytelling song there is 🔥 , got to see him perform this song twice
Fr, some people hating on it because of how disturbing it is but they just soft
Hey he has an interview about him using the n word and him being In prison about calling someone else out for using the n word. Y’all should check it out
Children's Story - Slick Rick
Lesley - Dave, is up there too would recommend and if u don’t know him ur welcome 🤘🏻
Styles P- nobody believes me is still one of the most creative hip hop songs as well
Some people go their whole lives not knowing the difference between ethnicity and race but ironically live their whole lives obsessing over race 🤦♂️🤣
Bro every time you ask when the song came out you look at the upload date like that’s when it actually came out 😂
Sometimes the upload date is wrong. This album came out in 2001 (maybe that's when it was uploaded, but I am old enough to know that the current youtube everyone knows, hasn't always been this way. The oldest music I find on here says "uploaded 14 years ago" but this song is now 23 years old. (Just incase you weren't aware or were curious - along with anyone else...)
@@mikestavisky8009 yeah that’s what I mean. You can’t rely on the upload date but he does every time 😂
Yea when he said "4 years ago ok" I'm like wtf? No, how are you doing by that to when the song originally came out??
Songs can be re released, just google "when was this song made/released" smh.
People forget that Lyrics can have a deeper meaning than just a Literal story. I always took this story as a message of being consumed with evil and how we can do the worst things to our loved ones when we get lost in our own greed and darkness.
Do more immortal technique guys very deep and super smart knows alot of what's going on in the world that people are scared to talk about
This song always gives me chills no matter how many times I hear it. This is a crazy song from a great lyricist!
Immortal Technique is (according to wikipedia) of "afro-peruvian descent", so I believe that means one parent is black one from Peru. Not sure though if that's more of an indigenous background or not
Afro Peruvian is like Afro Mexican. It is the acknowledgement of having some African descendants. Check out Susana Baca from Peru.
This father really got a lot of intelligence and knowledge
Left none for the son
@@ITSmE-tn2ugWisdom comes with age
Not really intelligence just common sense
Seeing your dad react with you makes me smile. This song changed my life for the better after being in a compromised position in life. I'll never forget this song
to be honest, im not a big fan of reaction channels but i was relistening to this song and you popped in the auto play. your father is a man that should be heard, his ability to confront what he doesn't like while still being able to understand the point being made is what we should all aspire to be. if i can ask, give "you never know - immortal technique" the same treatment. would really like to see his reaction to the story telling of that song
He’s not Mexican lol y’all should check out his story y’all will be surprised he’s a philanthropist and activist and extremely smart dude has stories
You no he not, the son can barely be asked, that or being a typical zoomer he's barely paying attention to the song.. So no wonder why talented story telling rap isn't a huge thing anymore and instead the focus is on these fruity rappers and joke rappers, smh.
By far the best reaction to this song alone. Felt like I was listening to it for the first time with your guys reaction and I'm going to look up that interview with him because that's incredible
by the way this song is 16 years old josh not 4 lol
23 years old*
this song been out since ‘00
Way older than 16 im pretty sure
Came out in 2001 on the revolutionary vol. 1 album, it could have released as a single before the album came out though, I’m not sure
As has been said, this album came out when I was in 10th grade.... holy fuck that makes me depressed haha
holy shit i came to watch the reaction and halfway through the video and they still havent even heard the first bar
Was literally just thinking this lmao. 13 minutes into a 30 minute video and the piano was the only thing heard
Thanks for the warning👍🙏
Then your gonna hate it bc the son being a typical zoomer is barely paying attention and they keep talking over parts, stopping it right before something is told that they paused to ask.. This is why reaction vidoes can be annoying af.
Immortal technique is Afro Peruvian my guy
No he’s not bro… look up pictures of him with long hair. His hair is perfectly straight.
@@VinEllis yeah cus he's half black half indigenous you moron, his dad is black, this is known info, plus check out all his interviews, he's asked all the time, he's a Harlem legend
@@VinEllisthat shit is literally not a pointer of ethnicity at all my guy, people can have straight hair and still be african with african dna.
@@VinEllishaving certain physical characteristics doesn’t define one’s race. What next you gonna call Malcolm X not black because he had red hair? The your same argument can be made for people who had conks back in the day. Are they not African American because they changed their hair to be straight and “white looking”.
Do your research before you claim something about someone else. He says he’s part black and is on multiple podcasts talking about the usage of the N word.
@@ricardoracz7894 Malcolm X is half white. It would be pretty unusual for someone who is black to have perfectly straight hair. Immortal Technique is mestizo. He’s European, indigenous, and small amounts of African. Afro Peruvian implies he’s Peruvian of mostly black descent.
You have great dad and you appear to be a great kid. This reminds me of the time that I spend with my son.
Best reaction video I have seen of this song. Great reactions! You both seem great. Dad has a good head on his shoulders and the son will benefit greatly from his guidance. I really appreciated the reverence for the song. It shook me up when I first heard it. Powerful!
Your relationship with your father is really cool to see. That man is wise! Cherish the bond you both have❤ It permeates positivity
This song is best when listening in a completely dark room. Shit is wild. Such a classic. A true masterpiece of storytelling.
love your dad, he is a treasure!
My favorite one yet!!!
Absolutely love immortal technique!!! His writing game is on a whole nother lvl❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
I kno Josh gonna look back on these videos and appreciate the gems his dad dropped.
Pops be droppin gems. 26:43 is pure facts cuz every day you wake up is an opportunity to change things & things can change swiftly. It starts with a firm decision in your mind, then actionable moves in your reality.
how come im 32 and white and i heard him repeat everything my dad used to tell me hahah! hes got a good dad
Saying you hear X in his flow is crazy. Different flows and styles.
hn i aint gon lie x got some songs where he flowing like this
@@LooniTheKiddlmao yeh
Your thinking of X’s triplet flow which he didn’t use all the time
listen to xxxtentacion news/flock
Super low iq comments I don't think he was even listening to the song at all. Crazy
This song and his song -you never know- always gives me chills.
I heard this back in 2010 and couldnt believe what i listened to, thank you for bringing it back. This is a classic for me. Like yall said you actually felt you were in a movie. Not many artists anymore make me feel that way. I subbed good luck on you journey.
I say this every time I watch a reaction to it, but this song is a fucking masterpiece.
Dope ass reaction 💪🏽🔥 Immortal Technique is a legend. Should react more of his poverty of philosophy, point of no return, etc.
I'm surprised ppl still bump let alone know this song or Immortal Tech, great guy with a important message.
Went with my boys to see him live in NY when he did the 3rd world tour 2007.
Amazing guy, looked at my shirt and gave me daps, I was wearing this ECKO shirt that was a peace sign made up of stuff like tanks, guns, bullets ect he loved my shirt he said.
The way your dad's proud of you and want to connect with you is so nice to see. Hope you two have a good life
i went on a binge where i watched everyones reaction to this song like 4 months ago and its mad funny the people i wanted most to have reacted to it react to it couple months after i was super into it
Same it’s weird😂
Ur pops talking about ghetto popsicles had me cracking up. we called em poor mans popsicles even had these homemade popsicles kit and stuff. Haha
Your father a wise man..let that man guide you..he seems to be doing the dad thing really well. Wish me and my dad had that relationship but I got my own son so I guess I can make it happen with my own through me!
I heard this song around the time it came out. Gave me chills then and now. Especially the ending
Finally y’all did my suggestion😹😹. Love🔥❤️🔥
Immortal Technique is an amazing artist
you’re dad is real. i love his explanations for each song. he’s actually able to understand what the meaning of the song is. a lot of people can’t do that
This song is Almost 24 years old & it still bangz!!!
Yo you gotta listen to “you never know” by immortal technique trust
definitely need him to react to more immortal technique
This is the first time I actually sat through an entire reaction video because I 100% agree with OG's perspective. Usually someone says something I don't agree with on other channels but this one all the way through was nothing but consistency in agreement. & the fact that you guys are father and son Reacting to this song is both bittersweet & trauma-healing to me. I respect the F out of both of you. Much love to you and yours !
Immortal technique has been one of my all time favorites for his lyrical mastery. some of his songs have been living rent free in my head for 10+ years
You have to listen to the extended version!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OG im Mexican and I understand what you’re saying about the N word. Let me give you a different perspective. I was born in Compton and we were the only Mexican family in the hood. I actually learned to speak English from all my black homies. I remember my homies mom call me the n word. I was like that’s a bad word. She said you an n word to look at how you live and how you’re treated. We moved to the bay when I was 7 and in the hood I grew up in everyone used that word. It was just a part of the culture. I understand the point you’re making just trying to give you a different perspective. Much respect OG by the way we are probably the same age I might even be older.
Been waiting for this one pops !!!
Lol your dad is such a dad. I'm him af damn lol
Mexicans rock wit you too my guys🇲🇽 #BLACKANDBROWNUNITED ✊🏻😎
Fxck... I'm in trouble then!! (Lmao, hopefully the well-intentioned (although "politically incorrect") sarcasm is understood! There's some of us "pale faces" that aren't so bad! We, the decent, true intentioned, and unbreakable people need to ALL UNITE. and as rage once said, "WE GOTTA TAKE THE POWER BACK!!!" From all these corrupt, evil, degenerate, hateful scum bags who keep trying to tear us down and make us submit to the narrative that we're not the same and must distrust and despise and demean our fellow men and women - they need the hateful cycle to continue - so they can keep using us against one another for profit! I ain't asking to come to the cookout or the Fiesta, but I won't turn the offer down haha "ONE LOVE!"
Nah
Great reaction as usual. Pops prolly about my age and shows a lot of wisdom. Really strong to see a black father sharing real life jewels with his son and the web. Pops, you have every right to feel the way you do about anyone using the n-word but I did want to say that Immortal Technique is, in fact ,African American and Peruvian, just for context. Keep the reactions and wisdom coming.
obnoxious is another amazing song by him !! guy is so good at painting a picture with words, emotional rollercoaster he puts you through
Pops was not ready 😂
You guys should react to Immortal technique you never know !!!
YES!!
Exactly
Y'all should react to the second part, the Diabolical one is fire
Seeing what we are doing this too is what this song is all about. Who are you hurting. Who are you taking from. Genius .
I’m excited to see yall reaction 😂😂😂
Try Immortal Technique - Point of no return, definitely a runner up and you never know
I love watching reactions to this song it's way older then 4 years . Its the best story telling song in hip hop. So good
You should check out pray for me by Joe Budden. It's 🔥🔥🔥
the head tilt at the same time killed me 😂😂😂
Damn its so beautiful to see when a son has got a father…. I wish my father was here to alk to me as your dad has talked to you
I heard this song when it was released in 2001. I was in middle school. Song fucked me up then and fucks me up all these years later. Such a wild turn in that final verse.
React to more Immortal technique he’s fire. Rich man’s world, goonies never die, industrial revolution, Peruvian Cocaine, freedom of speech, the fourth branch, point of no return. All great songs that are deep been listened to him since I was a kid.
You Never Know is also a good story song!
Immortal Technique is the dopest smart man.
Subscribed instantly when I saw the dynamic between you two. Raising a good and responsible kid in this day and age is one of the toughest jobs around. Be best of friends with your kids... Its a good start.
yall should do the “hoff twins” documentary, yo pops would start trippen 😂😂😂😂😂 yall would fw it heavy tho😂 the hoff twins entertaining fasho
💯😂👌
Nah they ass. Switched up
The point of a reaction is to go into it blind. Doing research ahead of time ruins the emotion you wouldve felt by knowing nothing
I appreciate your father not sure who that was but enjoyed him speaking his mind and enlightening folks
I watched Immortal technique at a local records store in Cerritos, CA about 22 years ago. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING performer and very educated man!

Dude needs to appreciate his father more. He is lucky to have such a wise dad. His take on using the n-word was profound

unc started tweakin when he said he was there LOL
The dad need his own channel. On everything.
You guys gotta keep doing this...💯
I agree with pops on the n word with other races, but a lot of minorities in the inner city grew up saying it to each other, it’s like the word had no color to minorities. I’m Mexican and grew up in south Atlanta and used that word a lot, but when I got older I got educated and realized it isn’t my word to use even though I grew up saying it and everyone was cool with me saying it. Some ppl don’t get educated on it and continue to use it
Respect sir!
you can't own a word. that's absurd, latinx
What’s wild to me is he says don’t say that and then as examples says racial slurs, I fw him and don’t care but it’s hypocritical, there’s also a lot of other countries that adopted that word to use against there black people like Australia, New Zealand and England
@@YummyV2u ain’t a real Mexican then 😂otg I’ll never let nb tell me what words I can and cannot say. U gotta problem with me using the word? Ite coo come see me bout it \^|^/

i love Pops explaining people joining gangs, searching for a family feeling, just to rip apart a family from another neighborhood... beautiful breakdown. This is my first time channel watch... 1st is that a skittles push pop? lol never had that before, damn. 2nd great video. will be back for more. much love
I always love watching people first reacting to this song. It randomly came on for me one night on Spotify when I had way too much too drink, I was never the same afterwards lol. I’m not super into rap music (I’m a white woman from south wales lol) but this got me into older rap songs. I’m always thinking “oh my sweet summer child” before people listen to it lol.
Im kinda confused though with this reaction though, I thought Immortal Technique was black too not Mexican. I might be completely wrong here, idk.
