worth considering the difference in your reactions between the two…if you find yourself hating one side and smiling for the other means you may be contributing to the sentiments expressed in the song.
It's a good start to a conversation, but nah man. I ain't hugging no white man that calls me the n word with the hard r, and then says he wants to know my side of the story. Best he gets is a head nod from me, I ain't touchin that man
Not sure if anyone has said it already but the actors in the video are two of his friends that he personally asked to perform the roles. Love the video breakdown yall did. Joyner loves to make music and videos that make you think and step back a bit.
Joyner is mid af. This song isn’t helpful at all. This white guy is clearly racist af and the message is meet in the middle? Listen to their thoughts too? Their racist why would we listen? You don’t get freedom from letting your oppressors deciding what’s best for us, cause they’ll never give up the power they have. This is a centrist song for people that think we just need to come together and everything is fixed.
Dude fr ur the only white person I’ve seen in these comments who isn’t coping about how they reacted to the black side. Like being laid into doesn’t get you upset and seeing ur people stand up for you doesn’t make you smile
"Feel your feels"! Perfectly written! I trust that within myself. I believe something/someone whatever it may be is real when it makes me feel. Thanks for that comment Michael.
The sad part about this video is that they didn't complain about the 2nd half. The song was meant to show a stereotype of hating blacks and then a stereotype of hating whites. They caught the first half just fine, but then they stopped. What these two did was cheer on the 2nd part instead of recognizing it as racism against whites. It makes me sad.
It's funny, isn't it. In a way, I feel like that's a big part of what Joyner is actually trying to portray in this video. Both white and black people at times and in different circles view each other in some pretty nasty ways, but until we come together and get over these preconceived notions of one another the hate on both sides will continue to fester.
Yeah its a problem. A problem which i though the song did an excellent job of highlighting but obviously the people reacting to the song missed (the older guy more than the younger one as he tried to speak his mind but you could tell he didn't want to disappoint the older guy by having a different opinion). I think dad needs to revisit this song. He went into this song with a negative mindset and really never got the message of the song I feel like he saw red from the first verse and made his reaction of the second verse feel like "That'll show you" reaction
The illest part of this song is that both makes sense in their arguments, both are right, and both sides makes amendment in the end. People nowadays likes to lock themselves in bubbles, when actually, we are all here to stay. Black People, White People, Asian People and every other race is here to stay. We better figure out how to live together or everyone will lose.
This made me cry. The power of the message, the way he delivered it, the way the actors performance helped further drive the emotion in just hits so different. Wonderful way to speak on racism and helping both sides be heard when no one will listen.
The Actors in the video are also childhood friends who agreed to participate in this. at least thats what ive been told/read in other comments and choose to believe because it adds another amazing layer to this.
The reason that hug hits so hard is because its the most powerful thing in the world. Humanity. We are the book ends of a beautiful spectrum, us, black and white. We two sides of the same coin. If we can ever come together, there is no governing force that would be able to stop us. And they are scared of that.
Yeah but that's just how the world works, I think stereotyping is almost ok. But it doesn't mean you don't treat someone with respect, give them the opportunity to prove these things wrong. I work in a physically demanding job and most women can't do it (hell most men cant), but that doesn't mean we wouldn't let a woman into the department. All have transitioned back to their previous area, we have one woman who's been doing it for 20 years. No one thought she could do it, and she proved them wrong. Even I am a reasonable small, fit man and everyone thought I wouldn't make it. But those things don't measure effort and willingness to do what ever it takes. It's only when we let stereotypes cloud are judgement or make us treat people inadequate, that when stereotypes become a problem. *Ted Talk Out
I’m a white Irish man and I’ve been writing poetry and spoken work for almost 15 years and I loved seeing your dads reaction go from being immediately on edge because of how well the actor played his part in the first verse to championing the second verse (the way Joyner obviously planned it) great reaction dudes big love from Ireland!
Religion was divisive up until we had countries that allowed freedom of religion. To my knowledge the Mongolian Empire was the only empire or kingdom from the past that allowed freedom of religion, then America came along Religion teaches you to respect all life, doesn't matter if it's a person or a bunny rabbit. It's the principal of it.

Who benefited from the system?! Someone is assuming majority of people were slave owners and they actually benefited from it. Almost every free black man was actually a slave owner. So who should be paying who?!
That hug at the end is powerful. We're so caught up in labeling each other. By hating and demonizing each other we're only driving the wedge deeper. We need unity and understanding. People see someone's skin color and automatically lumps them into one big group, which they paint with a wide brush. Things aren't black and white; there are shades of gray in there. The only people calling me racist, sexist, homophobic, etc (every buzz-word) are those that don't actually know me. They love me until they discover my views. Nobody should have to prove that they're not those hateful things (certain individuals feel the need to 24/7 on social media), the evidence speaks for itself. That shouldn't be the default.
Yes pops...I knew you'd get it off rip lol. Both sides have points that are accurate. Accountability and open communication is the answer here. Not censorship and all this extremist crap going on today.
This is typed out before i watch this video… but i love seeing 2 generations experience this. Great reaction yall. Edit: 6:35 you nailed it, joyner is one of a kind. Glad yall were catching the small messages meanwhile focusing and making points on the bigger picture of this video.

this is some real shit. I'm white and my best friend is black. We didn't meet until we were adults so never really saw any struggles he had, just knew he had a nice house and nice family like I did. Thought all this shit was bs until we one day broke down and kinda let off on each other about this type of thing. We hugged it out just like in the video and we both grew. Shit hits hard man, we just gotta hear both sides of the story, we all a product of this fucked up world and no ones to blame but the system that fucked it all up.
I had never heard this song but I watched your review cause it popped up and this song is a message that the world needs. Everyone has their own thoughts on other people instead of just sitting down and listening to

What I don't agree with for this particular music video is the insinuation that only black people live in an economic "frying pan." I grew up lower income while my parents were young. My mother was attending college (first gen) and they both worked to pay her way. For the first 12 years of my life my dad juggled two jobs to keep food on our table. His hands were beat up so bad from the manual labor gig he sometimes couldn't close them. On the weekdays he slept a few hours between jobs. I remember once winter my mom wore duct tape in her shoe so she could buy me a new pair because I had grown out of mine. She paid her student loans for YEARS which meant she went "without" so we could have a lot. And they made sure to send all three of us girls to college. My dad finally went back to school for what he was really gifted to do- computer programming. He died at 45 in a car accident before he could really enjoy the fruits of his labor. We came from nothing, had nothing, and people treated us like nothing. (But it keeps us humble to remember) Fast forward to now; my husband and I own a home, and are busy raising two daughters who will, God willing, never know what the "end of a check" fear feels like. I am where I am because the sacrifices of my parents, my grandparents, my great-grandparents and so on who came here in rags as Irish immigrants and worked their way out of utter poverty so I could give my children something. I'm proud of them and their struggle... their bravery. We as Americans need to be future minded, Christ dependent, and compassionate to ALL people because we never know what their situation is. Humanity is a shared and universal experience no matter the ethnicity. I look forward to Heaven where none on this will stand between me and my global family. ❤
This music video is based on stereotypes not reality. It actually highlights that the majority of society believes in stereotypes. It’s really a socio-economic thing
Fun fact, Tupac was actually an ultimate phony. He played his role very well, went to college. Was a a drama student. And also grew up in a very successful home. The modern-day Tupac is Drake
The power in this song is about listening to both sides. Not just agree with the ideas that reinforce your beliefs and getting out of your comfort zone to understand the other side. It would be interesting to see how you would feel if a white man reacted to it and had the same response as pops but in reverse.

Both sides are powerful messages and very well executed, I love every bit of this. the facts, the anger, the frustration and even the love and understanding for each other at the end are beautiful to see.❤💯
The best songs are the ones that you get mad at in the beginning but then you listen and hear the message that you can’t be mad at anymore because you then understand what they are saying.
How can you call a man racist for being an actor and telling a beautiful message, that basically says, "I know I we don't think the same and we may be mad at you but in the end we all hug and should get with it" we're all the human race at the end of the day, I have taken so much from black culture it's unreal and I'm grateful for trying to understand a different culture to mine, love to you man fr❤️

No, his dad is a racist, and you got that white savior complex, you're both worthless.
We need to get pops a podcast, man got a universe full of knowledge and wisdom ✊🏾
deadass ^ could listen to pops just talk fr id tune in
his voice is cut out for it too, the words he picks, the knowledge. Yes please
Facts
No he don't. He isn't educated on the history of humanity
Or his comments wouldn't be what they are.
@@StretchGamesHD agreed. The second he said reparations I knew he was ignorant
Pops seeing red while the other side of the table.. “that’s facts, that’s true”
This made me cry. The power of the message, the way he delivered it, the way the actors performance helped further drive the emotion in just hits so different. Wonderful way to speak on racism and helping both sides be heard when no one will listen.
Beautiful comment.
The Actors in the video are also childhood friends who agreed to participate in this.
at least thats what ive been told/read in other comments and choose to believe because it adds another amazing layer to this.
Do Joyner “I’m Sorry”….Guarantee your pops will love it 💪🏾
No way y’all actually got to this 😁🔥🔥 been waiting for this since I discovered the channel! Keep up y’all hard work, we appreciate y’all 🙏🏼🖤
The reason that hug hits so hard is because its the most powerful thing in the world. Humanity. We are the book ends of a beautiful spectrum, us, black and white. We two sides of the same coin. If we can ever come together, there is no governing force that would be able to stop us. And they are scared of that.
No matter what your skin color is NONE of us want to be stereotyped because of our skin color! 💯🙌🏼
*Ted Talk Out
You can tell pops is a good man, he went through alllllll the emotions lol!!
Pops in orange looking more like a skinny Suge Knight than ever before 🤣🤣🤣🤣
That's cold lololol
Ts just made me spit my water out lmfao
I was waiting on this one 🔥
It's the principal of it.
best channel on youtube, love the messages pops puts out at the end in each video 😂like you guys got structure and creativeness with your videos and thats what differentiates you from the rest 🔥🔥
Ye, now they just need to learn how to cut and sync a video as well:) Maybe that's where you start? xD
I love how he just sits back and lets his dad speak his mind 😂❤
I knew this video was gonna be long🤣 shout out mr popstick
Im a 38 year old man from Alabama.
I love your Dad. The way he expresses his thoughts and puts his words together is fantastic
Son got more sense than the father.
Glad you guys found Joyner. You guys are great. Pops was munching hard the madder he got lol. #devilsworkpart1
Finally we’ve been waiting Josh Took you longer enough
You’re not a victim, you benefit from this American system like the rest of us.
... Ignorant comment
... whose gonna tell em.. systemic racism is still a thing 😬🫤😭
We need more Joyner
Yes pops...I knew you'd get it off rip lol. Both sides have points that are accurate. Accountability and open communication is the answer here. Not censorship and all this extremist crap going on today.
1:56 lol pops said "Hold on Hold on" 💀
Your dad was speaking that knowledge. Great reactions. That's what these videos are for to hear your guys thoughts.
I like the insights your Dad gives in between the video pauses - what a a song AND MESSAGE! ✝️ 🇺🇸
This is typed out before i watch this video… but i love seeing 2 generations experience this. Great reaction yall.
Edit: 6:35 you nailed it, joyner is one of a kind. Glad yall were catching the small messages meanwhile focusing and making points on the bigger picture of this video.

Coming back to that song every now and then, this time I found that reaction. I just wish the boy would have said more. Gen Z in large parts is depoliticized, which is incredibly dangerous in itself, not even mentioning the times we live in
Please do Joyner and Eminem- Lucky You 🔥 It really shows his rapping range. Also, should do the first Devils Work by Joyner 🔥 Oh, and he doesn't have a huge push from the industry bc he's independent.
This was genius work by Joyner Lucas. He literally on a different level than most newer rappers
Some of the worst slave owners were Black. And fought the hardest to keep their slaves. Do a review of Thomas Sowell what they don't teach you about slavery.
Love this reaction 🔥
Best reaction on the whole channel💯💯
I enjoy watching the young fella having more wisdom. Then most of the people my age.
I like the dad’s reaction because it’s genuine and the way a reaction video should be. Good content. Subbed bro
we need that ross capicchioni next , bro was talkin in that one too
I’m sorry by Joyner Lucas
The art of peer pressure by Kendrick Lamar
Truth hurts and your dad is hurting bad
Look how comfortable he sits hearing the black one rap 😂
Bro, the way your dad interprets the lines is amazing. Wise man speaking
Joyner is one of the top MCs of his time. Also the stuff he talks about and his word play will always make him a top rapper of his generation. He's just not popular like Drake but one of my favorite rappers. Its not mumble rap or trap rap. Politics and point of views in rap lol its great
white dude talking facts... u get angry.. black dude talking feelings.. u laugh...
Amen
this is some real shit.
Everyone has their own thoughts on other people instead of just sitting down and listening to
Your pops looks like he’s very wise! Wish I had one like that ! Bless bro
You just hit the tip of the iceberg with Joyner
This hits HARD! physically and mentally, some of us do know the struggle now a days we're all in poverty I've been denied jobs cause of my tattoos and inexperience I'm almost 30 and no one is giving me the chance to get any experience, I grew up damn near wishing I had more than bread to eat but damn the kool aid hit! if we had enough sugar to put in it tho!!!!
Trust me pops will enjoy a lot of joyner’s music
i will NEVER take any form of responsibility cause of what happened and me being white and if ANY person of color got an issue with that we can press that on the streets
idk how i just finding u two on a joyner track, turns out you've reacted to some of my stuff too. But you lucky as hell to have that and don't take your dad for granted. This was awesome to see and idk why it hit me in a weird way lmao. Dope reaction and subbed.
We needddddd quando album
Nah fr
Factsss tho
We need quando album don't starve us
On bro!
Yessssss‼️‼️‼️ Dax-Dear God …. WE NEED DAT
Makes me emotional no matter how many times I watch. Powerful stuff!!!
Joyner Lucas is a F&@#!%G *GENIUS* !!! Loved your pops commentary 😊 Great reaction guys, & I love chicken skin too!!!
Dad Is a real racist. Son knows what's up.
Fax My Man but then again, what else would you expect from an uneducated imbecile like him?
Not much bc he a part of the problem with this world.
...
And you're either a child, or your last 2 braincells are battling for the right to do meth. Listen more than you speak. *grabs popcorn*
Am I missing something?
Sound stupid asf you the real racist
Fun fact, Tupac was actually an ultimate phony. He played his role very well, went to college. Was a a drama student. And also grew up in a very successful home. The modern-day Tupac is Drake
Ultimate phony would seek power. So that title goes to wannabe dictator Trump. Fun fact
I think we all dream of the day when we come together and get along.
My son has a black brother , i played this for his and we both cried our eyes out. Racism is real in our country. Its up to us to fix this
Best reaction channel on youtube, huge fan , yall my new favorite
The power in this song is about listening to both sides. Not just agree with the ideas that reinforce your beliefs and getting out of your comfort zone to understand the other side. It would be interesting to see how you would feel if a white man reacted to it and had the same response as pops but in reverse.
now react to I'm Sorry. Easily his best song still imo, I wish he still tried to make proper hooks like this. All his deep stuff after is good for one listen, but not to put in the playlist, I'm Sorry is
Jesus Christ is Lord, King and Our Savior!
This father is a wealth of knowledge. Thank you for being you
Both sides are powerful messages and very well executed, I love every bit of this. the facts, the anger, the frustration and even the love and understanding for each other at the end are beautiful to see.❤💯
Quando album 💙🔥
Yall better do quando album gang 🤝🏽
you should definitely do “nothing new” by 21 savage he addresses the same topic extremely good
facts
That and Kodak Black Malcom XXX
The best songs are the ones that you get mad at in the beginning but then you listen and hear the message that you can’t be mad at anymore because you then understand what they are saying.
How can you call a man racist for being an actor and telling a beautiful message, that basically says, "I know I we don't think the same and we may be mad at you but in the end we all hug and should get with it" we're all the human race at the end of the day, I have taken so much from black culture it's unreal and I'm grateful for trying to understand a different culture to mine, love to you man fr❤️
We need that quando album
