  • Immortal Technique Reaction Dance With The Devil is the greatest song Iv'e ever heard!! I can't believe I missed out on the song. However I'm happy I got to it now with a better understanding of life. The story telling, lyrics, voice of the artist, and the instrumental were all in sync. This is a masterpiece!

I'm going to recommend an odd song, but an odd artist. It's a bit in the folk song theme. It "Pretty Little One" by Steve Martin... It's simular, yet completely different. Lol I know that statement lacks logic, but even if you don't do a reaction, I think you will understand once you hear it.

I used to be a total metalhead, listened to nothing but death metal and deathcore until I met some friends back when I was like 18 or 19 and they showed me this song. It's hard to put into words what this song makes you think, you did a great job explaining things as you perceive them.
My personal devil is my addiction to alcohol. Here's something I wrote while I was locked up last year because of alcohol. "I fill up my cup, I fill up my liver. Drown out my heart, make believe that it's alright to dance with my demons. The devil's slow dance. Step by step, I stumble down the stairs towards Hell."
Just a bit of a whole poem I wrote about my addiction, but when I wrote this I totally forgot about this song and didn't even connect the two until just now. Still going strong in my recovery, almost 8 months clean! 💪

    • @AceofDlamonds
      @AceofDlamonds 2 месяца назад

Tech is inconsistent with how he tells the story. The way I heard it, the guy he met in prison was in because they couldn't find an alleged rapist so they killed his son so they could catch him at the funeral. "Hood justice" taken too far. And he used that as inspiration i guess. But the story is completely different.

Bro, you haven't listened to any Immortal Techniqe?! You gotta check out all his songs, and collabs. I would start with the fourth branch of the government and his song with Chuck D and Brother Ali. If you want deep lyrics filled with Truth, and poetry.... Immortal Techniqe is pretty much on the list of the gold standard.
P.S. this is his darkest and most controversial song. Kind of his "Stan".
Now on to watch the reaction.

Opiates was my devil for 10 years. Thank god for methadone clinics lol. I decided not to go through rehab, and just go with the methadone treatment. It worked great for me, as I was still able to carry out my normal life working, whereas rehab I would have had to take time off and/or possibly quit depending on the time needed. I was mentally strong enough to deal with it on my own, but I highly suggest rehab for everyone, as they offer an escape, doctors, and psychiatric help and so on. Choose the path that works for you. I wish all those who are struggling the best, and stay strong!

One of my favorite lines is right after the mother reveal - "And he remembered how his mom used to come home late
. Working hard for nothing, 'cause now what was he worth." - Billy was now a disgusting and worthless worm of a person, so all her hard work trying to provide for him growing up, was a complete waste.
Also the part where he says he was there and participated, is meant to show that we all have good/bad or angels/demons inside of us. People keep their demon's hidden, so you never know who is standing next to you, or in the crowd at a show ... it could very well be a monster.

Man I was hoping you watch the extra freestyle at the end of the track with Diabolic and immortal technique.
You should do a reaction video to Diabolic "I don't wanna rhyme" and "Alien manuscript" . Bolic's word play is insane and both have videos.

That shit ruins the song imo if listened to together. Totally ruins this song when played together

@@gdo3510 idk about the web version but back in the day I had it on cd and there was several minutes of dead air before the "freestyle" started. It would've been years before I discovered Diabolic if it wasn't for that track.

I've remained relatively sane, although "the Devil" has attacked me in more ways than i'd think we were built for. Alcohol, drugs, abuse, homelessness just to mention some. Still struggling to this day, but somehow i've found a state of mind where i'm proud of who i Am inside. I refuse to see myself as a victim, refuse to grow ugly and bitter... IF there was someone to "blame" for everything.....what good would it do??? Theres beauty and light everywhere, if you dare to let it in. ❤

Do “you never know” by immortal technique

Great reaction. Lots of people have asked Immortal Technique if the song is true, and you can find him being filmed at concerts giving a little “speech” about how the story happens every day, in every city, all over the world. And you caught the message and meaning behind the song before it was even over. 💕
Mama raised you right, boy 🙋‍♀️

On the video by jelly roll you asked for something different, here you are talking about being into a story. Here are some older story songs you can check out... BY JONNY CASH: long black viel, cocain blues, and a boy named sue... Ringo by Lorne Green ( the dad from bonanza, a western tv show from the 70s)... Hurricaine by Bob Dylan... Phantom 309 by Red Sovine... and the ultimate trucker song of the 70s CONVOY...

You got to listen to "You never know". Just as touching a story but not the same kind of darkness haha. You'll love it
