    I don't know why but my legs feel so relaxed after the session... It's kinda sad to see that the first video had so many views in comparison to this.

    I read about this style, watching a lot of video, your tutorial is relevation for me. I’m really courious. As I know these extreme positions improves coordination, maybe a kind of “massage” of the body. Happy to see it, not theoretical, clean.

      Glad you found the video helpful, Geri! There is no magic or secret to bagua training. It begins with the basics and those must be practiced with intent and focus :)

    Hello sifu Brandon, will you be continuing the online RUclips Bagua Zang classes? thank you ,Sean.
    I also want to say the way you teach mud water circle stepping is extremely helpful for those students that do Sun Tai Chi Chuan and will assist with the ripple stepping. I know this has improved my stepping in Sun and the circle stepping in Bagu Zang.

    Question: my understanding is that the stepping is an "empty" step in the sense that the foot is placed before the weight is shifted onto it. When you push off the back foot doesn't that result in landing with weight on the foot? Is this a style difference between the numerous Bagua styles? Great video! Well done Sir!

    • @jiayodotcom
      @jiayodotcom  4 года назад +5

      I don't know enough about the many different styles of bagua to comment accurately on those styles. What I can say about the stepping is that when you are first learning, I think it is very important to go slowly and build the skill of stepping empty. It allows you to focus on control, balance, structure, and sensitivity. As you progress through your training, the emphasis on the stepping can change, but it should be a skill that you retain.

    • @CharlesLuken
      @CharlesLuken 4 года назад +3

      When you push off, it doesn’t necessarily always shift weight. When I do my mud/circle walking, I keep my weight over my back foot (as Brandon demonstrated) until the front or moving foot is placed on the ground and I take another step.
